Chris steadied himself, and watched his step. He asked Mara if they could get the power back on. He looked for Amber. Oh no, did Pavel take her?! Chris growled, and yelled for Amber. No answer. Great. He kept on looking for her.

"Trying to. Zed, see if you can find that backup power switch," Mara called, her gold and white lightlines standing out in the darkness. Skye's violet accents cast a blue-violet glow on the floor of the garage, somewhat brighter than the circuitry of the other programs.

"Well... to be honest..." she began slowly, glancing at the floor. "It just... it hurts. Everything does." She held up her arms to analyze their greyish appearance. "I shouldn't be alive right now."

Chris gave her a side hug. Not a kiss. Not yet.

Skye snuggled closer to the firewall soldier, feeling somewhat... less hollow. It felt... comforting. Like he cared.

Someone actually cared, about her. That alone brought a smile to her face. She tucked her legs in, becoming a ball of a program next to him.
