"Oh," said Orion, calming a bit. "What's it do?"

His eyes skimmed the hill. Zen stood atop it, watching him. "Let me touch it," he said with a burst of confidence. He'd show his sister how brave he was.

The creature watched Orion and the two seasonal keepers. It didn’t look curious, or as if studying them, just... watching.

Bravely, or at least he hoped it looked brave, Orion stuck out his hand and brushed his fingers along the shiny talisman.

Instantly, flashes of Halloween blinded his eyes-- full moons, witches' cackles, leering jack o' lanterns, moaning zombies and the twin, sharklike smiles of the Halloween guardians in front of him. He lept back, shaken, looking at them in a new light. Resisting the urge to clock his head out of discomfort, a family habit, he offered them a weak grin. "W-w-wow," he stuttered. "That was... r-r-really cool."


He got the feeling they knew exactly how he felt.

"Every day. Now Follow us." They said mentioning for him to follow. "This is the land of dreams. We know everyones hopes wishes familys and even emotions." Hallow said. "We make sure to take care of Dreams and Nightmares." Eve said "We even knew your name from the start. We know how you feel. We know everything." Hallow said turning around."Want to see your sister, Zephyr's?" Hallow asked going through some files.

In an instant, Orion grew faint, like something from a dream, along with the twins. Up on the hill, Zen gasped."Orion!" She shrieked. She pelted down the hill and reached out to pull him back, but her hand passed through him like he was mist. Dread filled her gut and goosebumps broke out on her coffee-bean-brown arms."Can you hear me?" She gulped. Dream Orion showed no response.

The twins appeared to be going through some ghostly files. She knew they weren't to be trusted! They had turned her brother into an intangible spirit! Fo-- creature, please, help, she begged her silent companion, knowing that it could do nothing.

"Whoa!" started Ori as they passed into the dream world. He'd taken a step and become a misty spirit, and what was more, he seemed to be seeing different worlds through each eye-- in one vision, Zen running down the hill towards him, and in another, Hallow and Eve going through dream files in an empty, echoey dimension. "What happened?" he said, somewhat discombobulated.

"This is the land of dreams. We know everyone's hopes, wishes, families, and even emotions," Hallow said. "We make sure to take care of Dreams and Nightmares," Eve added. Her brother smiled, predatory, turning around. "And we even knew your name from the start. We know how you feel. We know everything." Eve nodded. "Want to see your sister's, Zephyr's, files?" Hallow rummaged in the box. "O-o-okay," stumbled Ori, still accustoming himself to the environment. "But wouldn't that be, like invading her privacy or something?" He wasn't sure how much he trusted his new friends.
