"Quiet, Pavel, he'll break eventually," Tesler huffed. "I second Pavel's question. Why do you care? I care about Paige because she's a valuable asset to my military forces in Argon."
Paige glanced up from her work, wondering if she needed to intervene.
Skye couldn't speak when she saw what happened to Chris. She knew something like this would happen. She quietly approached Paige, silent tears rolling down her face.

"Because she's..." Beck decided against using the word "different". "She's a very respectable individual. She has a great deal of potential, and to be honest, she's rather impressive. Especially in the field of combat." He wasn't about to say it to Tesler's face-- or Pavel's-- but Paige was also quite attractive. That wouldn't be reasonable enough to let the General hand her over to him, though.

Chris was still unaware of what was happening. He didn't know Skye was here, or that Paige was healing him.

Skye took it and squeezed her eyes shut, hot tears streaming down her face. "I-I thought you were gonna die," she said softly, voice breaking with emotion. "I'm so sorry... I never should have attacked that program at the diner; none of this would've happened..."

Pavel growled and looked away from Beck. He could date Paige, there was nothing wrong! He kept the anger inside him for now.
"S-Skye, I'm kinda hurt ri-right now, might not be the best time for this-" He gently squeezed her hand to make her at ease.
