Paige felt somewhat conflicted-- and incredibly embarrassed-- by the fact that the soldier thought it would be a good idea to show physical affection to his superior.
Paige and her father-not-father overseer Tesler had plenty of things they had in common, and a loathing of being touched was definitely one of them.
Skye had been busy looking at other things-- she hadn't noticed Chris had given Paige a hug. "Yeah, I'm comin'!" She caught up to him. "She fixed it, right?"

"Hey, no fair! I have short legs!" She called after him, trying to keep up with him, but failing. It got harder to breathe after a few moments of sprinting, and she tried to catch her breath as she steadied herself on a nearby wall. She hoped Chris wouldn't get too far ahead.
