After Neverpaw had rushed out of the clearing, and away from the battle and Darkfang's dead body, he finally slowed down. He was near a small stream, and Neverpaw stared into it, watching his rippling reflection. He stared at his claws, which were coated in Darkfang's blood, and he sighed.

Honestly, the warrior had been through enough heartbreak already and was a bit glad to have an apprentice. He hoped it would help get his mind off Cardinalpaw and even Crescentmoon and Northpath. Though he didn't really know Enderpaw, he wished that they would get to know each other during his training.
"Okay, so we'll start off with some fighting," he mewed as they reached the cave and turned towards the younger black tom. Though apprentices were usually first brought out to explore the territory and then hunting, Finchcall was too worried to get it right. The grey warrior then waved his tail, trying to seem calm and certain in himself. "I'll start you off with a basic move," he began and started to glanced around as he scanned the cave for somewhere that would be appropriate to the technique.
He padded a few tail lengths away before returning his pale gaze towards Enderpaw. "Okay, so here's a very simple one. It's called the Front Paw Blow," he tried to stand a little taller. "Now what you so is wait until your opponent is close enough. When they are than you bring up your front paw and and hit them in the head," he demonstrated but swiping the air with a strong paw.

Enderpaw followed Finchcall, the tom's tail twitching from side to side. If he were being honest with himself, he was unsure about his new mentor. The warrior seemed...nervous, almost. What was he afraid of? What was there to mess up here, surely he had been through all this before? Still, this was their first time out. Maybe Finchcall was just trying to make a good impression on the younger cat. "Alright," Enderpaw mewed, standing by in an almost rigid position. He didn't exactly look very impressed. Once he realized he was probably making the warrior more nervous, he relaxed a little. There was nothing to worry about; and besides, in general a mentor and apprentice had a pretty strong bond. Finchcall was here to teach, not to criticize.
Enderpaw watched Finchcall closely...as this was his first day with his new mentor, and he was an older apprentice, he wanted to make a good impression on the tom. Impress him, so to speak. Right, I can do this. It's very simple. He thought, his tail twitching in a slightly irritated, slightly nervous manner. "Right...so, when would you usually want to use that? Like, at any point in a battle when they're close enough or at a certain time?" Enderpaw questioned. As he was beginning to show, if he were going to do something he wanted to do it right.
If he were going to learn about this move, he wanted to know when the most effective time to use it would be. And where would it be? Sometimes Enderpaw's questions could sound a little...too questioning, like he wasn't understanding enough. The black tom waited for Finchcall's reply, his head cocked to the side slightly as he did so. Was this even the right thing for him to be doing? Should he just have accepted what it was and tried it without any question? But that's what Finchcall is here for, to answer my questions, Enderpaw argued with himself, a little annoyed.

Burntwhisker followed Foxclaw out of the clearing and into the deeper forest. She saw that the tom was having issues with his surroundings, so she padded up beside him and pressed the side of her body against his to comfort him.

Foxclaw didn't notice the cat until his pelt touched hers, which sent confusion in his mind. "Umm... To be honest, i have no idea where we are" He said, staring as if he never seen Trees before.

Burntwhisker chuckled, "It is fine. I am pretty sure we will find something walking around," she didn't want the male to feel uncomfortable or stressed out. She wasn't sure how much damage the battle had done to him in his mind. She stayed next to him though incase he passed out or became dizzy.

Foxclaw shrugged and continued walking when he felt a minor discomfort in his chest... again.... ignoring it, he just continued walking, hoping a prey would be dumb enough to leap into his paws.

(I feel like Foxclaw is someday gunna have symptoms of a heartattack then just ignore them)
The she-cat perked her ears forward to listen for some prey. She then stopped as she heard paw steps of an animal. She lifted her maw in the air and picked up the scent of a squirrel, "Want a squirrel?" the female whispered to her companion. "Cause there is one about 20 pawsteps ahead on the right," she said as she looked to Foxclaw.

"Oh" he simply said, scanning the area, and spotted the squirrel. Going to his hunter pose, he slowly stalked the animal until he reached the perfect distance. He pounced, only to miss the squirrel by a whisker.

Burntwhisker saw the miss and was already ready to attack. She pounced on the prey and landed on it. She then took a quick bite to the neck and ended its life quickly. She then brought it back to Foxclaw, "You should have it," she said, "You look like you need it more than I do," she said as she pushed it towards him.

"Oh no," Foxclaw said, pushing the prey back, "I'm not hungry, you may have it." He felt a bit uncertain about his choice, but he felt that it was the right thing to do.
