"It's in his disc. It's an upgrade designed to make a program stronger, faster, and... well, invincible." Skye held a hand over her injured face, wincing. This would take a long time to heal, due to the fact the wound had been inflicted by an upgraded disc. "Chris... I made a deal with him to save you."

She glared at that "then that means something either up...or ..it really is just a low day. But I don't trust this -its too quiet . " The firewall pointed out. Her gut was telling her that something was off. That silence shouldn't be trusted . "and they're wrong, Not every one of us is distracted -" at least I'm not!

Paige was silent, but nodded in agreement. "I can't help but wonder what I'm going to deal with next... all I can do is hope that things don't turn out badly."

Vernal gave a nod to that . Sighing again, the Firewall looked around and was growing increasingly bored. By this time she was actually wanting something to happen ! Knees bouncing with every step she took she did her best to keep her cool.

"What do you mean? What deal? Can't we just take the upgrade out of him, as you do?" Chris took Pavel's disc and opened it. He took the weapon out and closed Pavel's disc. "It's the other half of the weapon..."

"That's what he used to..." Skye closed her eyes tightly, not wanting to have another panic attack. "He used that to dissect me..."

Chris put a hand on Skye's back. "Shh, I'm here, just take deep breaths. Deep breaths." Chris put the weapon in his own disc. He looked at Skye, and his eyes flicked a deep red.
