Right this time was defiantly more messy but if it was stupid and it worked it wasnt stupid. So related to this if it was a disaster and Shrewpaws back paws just slid off of Adderfangs back but his falling bodyweight still knocked her down flat it wasn't a disaster, it was a controlled disaster. "Ok that time was, understandably, more rough. But to be fair once you get the base movements down it's a matter of practice." The warrior wheezed under Shrewpaw from the tough collapse.

Once released she'd stand with a neck roll and ask "Do you think you've got it now and just want to practice solo or with a friend or do you wanna keep going with me some more?" If the apprentice chose the second option she'd get back into position and struggle for Shrewpaw to try again as many times as he needed correcting him when necessary between tries.

Oof was all Shrewpaw could really think as he thumped to the ground, having slid right off of her back. At least he had kind of.....pushed her over indirectly? Something like that anyway, since she was on the ground. Which he supposed was the main objective anyway of the whole, thumpy bouncy sequence of events. So he supposed he did well, which Adderfang.......affirmed? to his pleasure. And she did seem to be wheezing, which meant right about now would be the time to smack her silly. But before he could do that, she presented him with two options for continuing.

Did he want to stop, or keep going? He thought it might be a good idea to just spar, see how all the moves worked out in practice, but that hadn't really been offered as an option. Still, he didn't think it was that bad of an idea, so he mewed rather hesitantly still, Could we maybe spar a bit? To, um......see how the moves work out when we're actually fighting? His paws tapped nervously on the ground as he watched her, hoping not to get yelled at. @Rani

If he kept on this status of constantly looking at the sky, it would only seek to fail him when suddenly he would be split between looking at the sky and looking at who it was that was attacking him right at that moment. "Your focus... is waning. Come with me... we're going back to camp... and you need some rest and to... clear that mind of yours."

Moving out, she gestured with her tail for Buzzardpaw to follow her. He was going to be a challenge, especially now that he appeared to have lost his confidence completely and she somehow had to figure it out, how to get it back for him. Because it was what made him a nut to train but a paranoid cat was even worse, she knew that from personal experience. "Let's... go back."

He HAD attacked, having tried to slide under his opponent's belly, albeit not with much enthusiasm. His opponent seemed to have attempted no counter however, having merely stood in place. Which was not looking good for any of his hopes of standing up against Shrewpaw at this point. But upon the urging of the warrior he rushed again, swinging a paw at Frogpaw's chest. He wasn't as out sized as he had originally thought, so he might have a chance at knocking the wind out of the younger apprentice. With a deep, inhuffing of breath he pulled his paw back in and dropped his shoulder, ramming it at Frogpaw with a good amount of force. @Russetstorm @Tigerspirit2009

In his crouch Frogpaw flattened himself out conpletly on the ground, and the paw hit his head. Ouch. Well, never do that again. Getting up, he was dizzy, but otherwise alright, and countered by snapping at his opponents ear.

Adderfang gave an approving nod at Shrewpaws request, experience was good and no amount of practice could really shape up to the reality that was combat. "Alright it's a good idea but I am not going to go easy on you." And with that she lunged.

Its was a fairly simple opening move front paws outstretched to grab the apprentice as she kicked off with her back jaws open to bite. Well nip in this situation which she attempted to do aiming to get a good grip on the loose skin to prevent him from retreating. He'd probably dodge these easily, large lunges were generally slow and even if he was caught early in the battle as this was there was energy to escape to spare. Adderfang had no doubt Shrewpaw would do better than he thought, he was an older apprentice and an experienced one at that to her it seemed the thing holding him back was his own self doubt.

Pleased that he hadn't been laughed right off of the cliff, Shrewpaw had opened his mouth to mew Alright, sure! but he had to hastily snap his mouth shut as Adderfang lunged at him. Eep! He hadn't expected it to happen right away, but he supposed he had to react now.

Leaping to the side to avoid Adderfang's flying paws, Shrewpaw was pleased that he had avoided the strike, although the fact that she had leaped right off the bat made her jump slow. He didn't get his tail out of the way quite quickly enough, and Adderfang's jaws nipped onto it, making it impossible to flee as fully as he would have liked in order to plan his next move. Spinning quickly, he smacked his paw toward the warriors face in an attempt to loosen her grip on his tail. If it worked he was already pulling his tail against her teeth a bit, hoping that any loosening of the jaws would allow it to slide free and him to leap away. @Rani

Now attached in a rather inopportune position to the biting Frogpaw, Shrewpaw kicked out strongly with his hind legs, hoping to at least warn his opponent off enough to get free. He felt stupid for letting himself get caught in the first place, but at least he had an idea of how to remedy it. Hopefully Frogpaw would let go or get walloped. Either one was fine with him, although he figured that his opponent might prefer dodging. @Tigerspirit2009 @Russetstorm

Frogpaw got thrush backward with the hard kick to his chest, and landed winded, eyes closed, though still consious.
