Default Re: WindClan Tunnels

This was a weird looking little thing and, ooop personal bubble kid too close! Crowpaw tried to rear up, hit is head on the roof, and ducked again ending up with a nose in his ear at the end of it. Wow this little thing was weird, even for a kit. Was Crowpaw like this when he was little? No he remembered annoying the fur off of Creekdash by being all too perceptive but from his own recollection Crowkit was all round chill for a child. So it must just be this baby.

"Listen buddy I dont wanna go back to camp either right now, that place is boring as hell, but its kinda dangerous for a kit down here. I mean you coulda killed us both with your little digging this with just a little bit of bad luck... So its best if you head on back." He rasped snorting at the sass on the little thing "Well if you managed to slip through either someone isnt doing their job at watching the kits or you're the luckiest scrap of fluff to exist, escaping isnt easy." Why was he finding the little thing this amusing? Crowpaw hated kits and yet here he was looking down at the soft thing like the most interesting of shows. Strange.

And then there was the milk question. Crowpaw reared up, again, and slammed the back of his head into the tunnel roof, again. Its lucky he had such a hard skull because ow he would've lost braincells there otherwise but with the kits question it was a moot point, the question alone was enough to rob him of braincells anyway. "W-what?! Do I look like a queen to you?! Of course Ive got no milk, Im a tom! I can get some prey if youre hungry but, just, what, no. I dont have milk." Crowpaw had, not too long ago, a plan to deal with the kit but in the face of the question he found it'd fled him. He was just too confused to do anything but stare down at the kit with wide eyes. At least it wasnt running away at the sound of his voice though, that was something.

Clearkit poked her tiny pink nose out from the edge of the nest, watching the other kits mingle and play. With a soft ‘hup’ she pulled herself up and tumbled out of the moss, tripping over her little short legs. Sitting up to pretend nothing happened she glanced around for somebody to speak or play with.

Default Re: Swooping Cliffs

Oh, she didn't like this! Eldersky trots back out to the swooping cliffs again. She'd been glad to leave Lionpaw away for this trip, having been nervous last time about her new little mini-me falling. But Weaselskip, who she'd never before spoken to, seemed... Patronizing! Very much so! The young warrior wasn't exactly moving sluggishly (she never did, though, did she?) and she couldn't shake the feeling that someone had told this cat some... Weird misinformation?
She makes a sour face at the molly's back before it disappears and she nods. "Yes, I've caught birds before," she meows. "I'm a warrior, not an apprentice anymore." Yes, it felt like she was being talked down to a bit! Eldersky curls her tail and glances up around the sky. "Is that what you intend to try and do today?" It really was a good thing that Lionpaw had stayed behind.

If only Featherfur could see the leader's face at being addressed as Ma'am. It was concerning that the she-cat had to ask about who she was, but she wasn't really certain if cats without sight had heightened senses, so couldn't be upset about the question.
"Yes, it's me." She responded, padding closer to brush her flank along Featherfur's right side. She couldn't really blame the molly for getting lost in the territory, she had no clue what it was like to be blind. Still, she couldn't help but be a little concerned about letting her out of the camp if she got lost?
"Did you get turned around?" She inquired, "I can't imagine that you normally get lost in the territory." Twilightstar wanted some clarification before taking any drastic actions.

storm could see how happy his sister was i mean she had found a home for them. Ravenkit made a point, she wasn't lying she most likely had it slip her mind. So Twilightstar wasn't going to make a big deal out of it. The she-cat flickered her whisker in acknowledgment to the young cat, amused with how he just knew he would be coming along with them.
"Stormkit will work," her tail kneaded over her back as she led the way to camp. Sadly, she was unable to turn away from kits.
"Come along, I'll show you to the nursery."

"Icestar was proud, she was greedy and bullheaded," the tom says slowly, thinking. "She had bad ideas just as she had good ideas. I admired her perseverance greatly. And even though you seem to think ill of me for it, I won't feel bad for still feeling proud of that. I can't pretend that I've forgotten where I came from. I can't act like it means so little to me." He becomes quiet again, and for a moment appears a little unfocused.

He was standing before Twilightstar, the leader of WindClan, going on in some argument he'd started himself on his former Clan. But... What for? The tom was being foolish now and he'd realized it, perhaps too late. ShadowClan was his birthplace but hadn't it always felt hollow? Empty? Nettlespark's gladdest moments had all seemed to revolve around...

"Deadpool," he mews lamely, unintentionally speaking her name aloud. Nettlespark doesn't even appear to realize he'd had such a slip of the tongue either, not for a sizable pause. Since the moment he'd seen her, heard her speak, sat with her, life in ShadowClan felt different. The empty spaces his family members had all left no longer distracted him. Gatherings became essential to attend. Border patrols, or more typically unofficial walks, sharpened the hyper-aware tom's senses. Discovering Irisflame's relationship with Breezefeather led him to finding a secret confidante in the former medicine cat, and... It suddenly hits him that he'd been standing there for some time, after audibly and clearly giving Twilightstar her Clanmate's name for seemingly no reason.

"The Clanmate of yours I'd helped once escape from Twolegs. My patrol brought her back, and Icestar let her heal in ShadowClan. I brought her to the Waterbarn while you took shelter from coyotes. I've gone to every Gathering I could get to just to talk to her for a few minutes. When she was over the moon about getting an apprentice, she told me." And Whiskernose, but that was beside the point here. "When your Cowpaw came to ShadowClan and assigned to me, she's the one I went to first." Besides, well, the rest of his Clanmates who observed the meeting.

His pelt had begun to heat up, and again as he spoke more fervently his voice rose. "The raid bothered me so much because I couldn't fight!" The warrior finally exclaims. "I refused to fight her- I refused to fight any of the cats she spoke so kindly of. She loves you all and it screwed me up because I'm a good warrior! I've loved carrying out my duties, believing in them, believing in what I was doing. And that night I couldn't. No, I- I wouldn't. Maybe you'll think worse of me, all I'll ask of you is to not think worse of her. I love Deadpool. I wouldn't fight her, or WindClan. Your Clan who attacked mine by surprise on a night of peace. I couldn't get my thoughts in order for days. I love her so much. She's so weird and special and dear."

"If you think I'm a danger, then put me under observation," he pleads. "You don't know what I am or who I am. I never knew myself until I met Deadpool. I want her, I want the chance to do it right. I want the chance to get to know her properly, without a time limit, without a border that I'm not even fighting you over. I'm not a ShadowClan cat right now. I'm just... Just..." Stammering to silence, Nettlespark sighs.

"If you choose to send me away today, Twilightstar, just know that I won't relent. I'll come back again, to talk to you. To ask to join. To talk to her, see her, be with her. And then my pleas to you will be about joining the family I've started." Sure, Nettlespark. Because threatening to make a queen of one of her warriors to her FACE was intelligent. But behind the sheer stupidity of the threat, there was a startling note of desire he'd failed to realize to this point.

As though he were trying to recover his case (which was surely lost by now) he dips his head deeply to the female. "I swear that I would devote my life to this. Through and through. I swear it."
[ pleASE try not to slay Nettle, Arie put me up to this and we're both giggling over it omg ]

It wasn't the fact that he admires the leader or whatever it was he felt, it was the fact that he failed to acknowledge her faults. The last one wasn't just a bad idea, it was pure stupidity all because of some pride. But Twilightstar decided against getting too hung up on that. There was nothing she could do to change it. Twilightstar didn't really want him to forget or throw away his experiences in ShadowClan, but he was going to have to tone down his pridefulness if he was going to fit in with WindClan. She wasn't sure he could do that. Young Echopaw had made herself at home in WindClan, Twilightstar never saw any ShadowClan in her besides the large size. Even with her past, Twilightstar wasn't ever really worried about her. She had been gone before the trouble was stirring between both Clans. Nettlespark was different.
"Deadpool?" Twilightstar repeated questionably when the name was brought seemingly up of nowhere. What in the world did he want with the quiet warrior? Unlike some clanmates, that cat never stood out to her other than the fact her Parasite liked her along with the Insect. Her face, and her blunder at the rai-- Oh, that's where she remembered him from. He was the tom that had her questioning the she-cat's loyalty. Oh, Stars! Please tell her this wasn't another one of those romantic endeavors. Twilightstar could barely stand talking about her own feelings, listening to others was tolerable when relatable.
Sure enough, he went into a full-blown declaration of love that was utterly unnecessary. The number of unthinkable stuff cats in love did, would forever be endless. Twilightstar swore she'd never hear the end of it, not in this lifetime not in the next. From the sounds of it, it seemed like this love was somewhat one-sided, but since she was nothing going to bother asking Deadpool about it, Twilightstar couldn't say if her assumption was concrete or not. She supposed time would only time. The leader really wanted to raise a paw to stop him after "I love Deadpool", she was literally willing to let him join the clan after that. But no, he had to carry on.
Twilightstar was aware of the strange thing called love and it's magical abilities to transform even the most menacing of cats into docile kittypets with the right pairing. Twilightstar was almost willing to explore this 'love' with Mushy just to figure out why cats were so willing to go bananas for it.
Considering how deadset, Nettlespark seemed to be willing to go, potentially future family excused, she'd feel guilty and slightly evil to deny him.
"You know if you had simply just said 'I'm leaving ShadowClan because I fell in love with one of your warriors,' we could have completely skipped the whole spiel from earlier." Twilightstar yawned, her earlier aggravation with the tom had more or less melted away somewhere along the way. Cats fall in love like this and out of it so easily, emotions come, go and change like the wind. Whether it worked out between Nettlespark and Deadpool, the lilac leader had no clue, but who was she to stand in front of love.
"I'll give you your chance in WindClan, don't make me regret it." Ugh, she was such a softie.
[I couldn't even if I tried. That was a cute little speech, even though Twi didn't appreciate it in the slightest. You can submit him into WindClan.]

Even she didn't quite know the answer to that. Though...she knew that she was expected to at least answer with something. Stormstrike stared the leader in the eyes, gaze barely wavering, ¨I'm...not really sure i have an answer for that. But what i can say with certainty is that I was on a walk, and i felt something...a pull, if you will. Following it, i was lead to the outskirts. By then, a migraine had started growing, but i ignored it.¨ She slowly mewed, keeping her voice as steady as possible. Taking a couple deep breaths, she continued, ¨As I went, the headache kept growing, to the point where i was on the brink of blacking out. Still, I kept going. Why, I have no idea, but for some reason, i didn't question it. Eventually, i ended up actually blacking out. It has something to do with my pregnancy, i'm sure. I think i was out for around a day or two, and when i came to i was incredibly dazed, to the point where i could barely get up without toppling back over. When i was able to walk some-what consistently, i realized i was...lost. I know you've heard that hundreds of times, but this time I can assure you that its true.¨ She finished, closing her maw and waiting for what the leader had to say in response.

The she-cat straightened her back as Stormstrike when silent for a few moments. Her eyes swept over Stormstrike's body once more, hoping she'd clear up the confusion bubbling in her head before it burst. As the molly locked eyes with her, Twilightstar stared back steadily, eyes not particularly expressive but not completely guarded either. Her tail jerked behind her hearing that the molly didn't really have an idea where she had been. That was a little concerning.
The rest of her story was baffling, a pull, a migrant that persists if you follow the pull, blacking out, and suddenly pregnant? If she were more closed-minded or Stormstrike had a darker or more troublesome past, Twilightstar might have thought the cat crazier than a fox in a fit and sent her away. However, considering the last strange thing she's deal with that 'kit' a random pregnancy was far from insane.
"So out of all of that, I find myself mostly concerned about you and your future kits." If Twilightstar had any real clue about aliens, she'd totally blame it on them, but since she didn't, she was just going to assume this was a StarClan thing again.
"You pregnancy obviously came by some strange anomaly, do you feel okay?" She wondered, gathering her paws underneath and walking closer to inspect her belly. "No pain or anything off?" Twilightstar's never had a litter before so she wasn't sure what would be out of the normal. All the same, she felt like she should send Stormstrike to Coldamber to look over.
"And your litter, when they arrive, do you want to keep them." If Stormstrike got pregnant by pure chance, Twilightstar wanted to make sure that she wanted them. Parenthood put a strain on life, Twilightstar didn't even have the hazard known as Parasite, and the troublesome mousebrain has already killed her. The point being, Twilightstar would be willing to take her and the kits in without any prejudice but Stormstrike had to be certain she wanted the responsibility.

She greatly regretted going missing, even if it had been accidental, and now that the time to explain herself to Twilightstar had come, Heathernose found herself worried that the leader may not be satisfied by what she had to offer. All Heather wanted was to see Shockholly and collapse into her nest but the hard truth was that that may not even be an option anymore. It was well within Twilightstar's rights to send her packing and the thought made the warrior's tired limbs want to start shaking.

"Firstly, I want to apologize. My break from the clan wasn't intentional, but I should have known better. I went for a walk one day to clear my head and since I was pretty stressed, I went a lot farther than usual. I was in the outskirts and bumped into a badger who thankfully must not have seen me since it didn't chase when I took off running. The only problem was that I ran in odd patterns to make sure it couldn't follow and found myself fairly lost. It took me a bit longer to make my way back I think because a storm came through before long and all but washed away my scent trail. At least prey was plentiful so I didn't starve and I bumped into a friendly cat who knew of the clans and could point me in the right direction. Now, here I am."

Twilightstar was thoroughly invested in Heathernose's tale, mostly because she noticed how anxious the molly appeared. It made her wonder what the problem was. Rather than asking again, Twilightstar waited patiently for the she-cat to explain how she had vanished for so long without any word. When she faintly spoke up, she listened with the same simple expression, giving little of her inner thoughts away. It was a rather longer and more detailed story than she was used to getting, but by the end of it Twilightstar felt a simple 'I got lost, sorry, I'll be more careful next time', would have done wonders.
"So basically, you got lost and with some help, have returned." She simplified it as much as possible. "Well, I'm glad that you're alright. Do pay more attention or bring a clanmate next time you want to de-stress, though." Twilightstar rarely bothered getting worked up unless it was something that was repeatedly happening.
[She's good to go.]

Twilightstar slowly padded over to the young cat who padded out of some overgrowth. Do queens just have these little ones and then leave them by themselves? She supposed she wouldn't know until she asked.
"I'm here, I'm Twilightstar." The bigger lilac leader took a seat about a tail length away from the trembling cat.

A small, white she-cat pounced around the moor, her folded, creamy colored ears perked up as she bounced. The enthusiastic she-cat took a deep breath in, smelling other cats, “Oh! Other cats are around!” She mewed excitedly, jumping around more, her bright blue eyes glimmering, she LOVED meeting new cats!

Or maybe your senses are dull and you cant feel the rabbits digging around only a whisker-length beneath your paws, he thought bitterly as his mentor finished. He'd have repeated it aloud if Breezefeather hadn't dashed off before he even had the chance to open his mouth. Where was he going in such a hurry? The rabbits weren't going anywhere. He followed with some reluctance, sprinting a ways behind.

When Breezefeather stopped however, Burningpaw did not. In fact, he sped up, grazing his mentor as he rushed onward at a breakneck speed. Nothing would stand between him and his prey- or so he thought. The rabbit heard him coming far before it saw him coming and bolted off through a crop of dead brush. Burningpaw didn't end his pursuit however, and he dived headfirst into the brush after it. There was a loud struggle- the alarmed bleats of a frightened rabbit, the scraping of branches. Then, suddenly, Burningpaw's head broke to the surface, a ring of blood staining his maw and something furry wedged between his teeth. It wasn't a rabbit though. It was a piece of fur, with flesh attached. The rabbit had broken free and it could be seen flying away over the snowy landscape. But Burningpaw didn't look discouraged- in fact he looked the opposite. He was gleaming.

"Don't worry, we can follow it. It left a trail of blood, see. It will tire and lead us to a burrow. Aren't you proud?"

Had he done that on purpose?
Someone better rescue him from this apprentice... He'd stopped, fully intent on showing Burningpaw how to hunt a rabbit carefully, with the specified stalking techniques that Windclan used to hide themselves in a place where nothing could be hidden. Yet instead Burningpaw decided to disregard anything his mentor had ever said and just raced fully against the rabbit.

Breezefeather couldn't even bother to rush after them both. The blood that was dripping down his apprentice wasn't something that concerned him nearly as much as in other circumstances, because this had been Burningpaw's fault for not listening and for just doing stuff he should not do and the deputy's glare was harsh and unforgiving as he approached.

"No. I'm not proud. What you did was unnecessarily stupid and idiotic. We won't follow the blood trail because likely the rabbit has crept into a burrow that is too small to follow. We're not dumb and if you had just LISTENED to what i'm trying to teach you instead of believing you know better, which you DO NOT, we could easily have a prey piece to take back to the clan. However, now we're not. We're going directly back and I won't take you out for some time and if I discover you've gone out alone in the meantime there will be consequences.
"

He was punishing her, she didn't even do anything wrong! Why would he do this to her? Whhhhhhhhhhhhy!!!! Still, the molly padded out into the territory keeping an eye on the apprentice as he already began hunting.
"Pestpaw." The she-cat called after he caught his mouse, she was surprised that he had actually had managed to do it.
"Catch good." She praised, watching the apprentice like he was going to explode at any second.

[no worries we're all good, just if u know you'll be busy and you don't want Stag to report it in, you can report it early and we can finish this RP past deadline and all]

Deafloop had arrived! Letting out a squeak of, happiness? Stagpaw raced over and gave her a hug and showed her his mouse. He was really proud of catching it, and it was nice to hear someone else was proud of him too. "Deafloop! Thank you! Will Twiggy be proud of this catch? Can I maybe give it to Twiggy instead of like... giving it to the clan?" Would that be an option? Or would Twiggy not wanna eat before the clan had eaten.. but that meant Twiggy wouldn't eat so therefore Twiggy had to eat this and that was it. Logic.

But... she was looking at him strangely and he lifted a paw and proceeded to wave it in her face. The expressions of was it.. worry? failed to disappear and he frowned then. Why was she looking like that. "What is Deafloop worried about? I won't blow up! I'm not like Twiggy who blows up at nothing!"

Blackpaw

She gave another quick nod and dropped into a hunter's crouch, trying to remember what it looked like. She was leaning too much on her front legs and her black and ginger tail was waving madly in the air, stirring up leaves and grass.

For the first time in...who knows how long, she sent a plead up to starclan. Please send her something to do! Anything! Looking around gleefully, she spotted a kit bounding towards her! Her prayer was answered! Oh, this must be a sign that she was gonna make a new friend! Rolling back onto her paws, she wiggled her hind-quarters in an exaggerated hunters crouch before leaping out in an attempt to playfully tackle Rainkit. ¨RAH!¨ she exclaimed, grinning widely. ¨I AM THE GREAT LIONSTAR!¨ She announced loudly, puffing her chest out in pride. Sure, she wasn't actually a leader (yet), but she will be eventually! For now, though, she was LIONSTAR! The fearsome leader of Windclan!
[You get a tiny post please forgive me, but its here as promised :3]

Before Rainkit could even pounce on the apprentice she tackled her to the ground. Surprise filled the young kits yellow eyes. Someone attacked her first! Oh, this was new! Rainkit was not apposed to the idea of it though! She liked when other played with her. Soon enough her surprise was exchanged for excitement. “Ahh!” She let out between giggles. “I am the mighty Rainheart! Greatest warrior in WindClan!!” Rainkit declared wiggling out from under the larger molly. Hopping up on her paws the kit lifted her tail proudly in the air, wearing a grin of pure joy on her face. “Do you, Great Lionstar, wish to fight with me?” She asked trying to sound as grown up as possible, but the words felt strange on her tongue. But she would use them someday when she was truly the greatest warrior in WindClan!
