Training with a stinger

Spidertail eyes flicked back and forth as he searched the area. He stretched his legs itching to get out and do something. He spotted Beepaw and bounded over to meet the younger tom-cat. He mewed a soft greeting as he approached, his emotionless light amber eyes contradicting his polite approach. "Would you like to go out for some training?" He tipped his head to the side slightly. "I haven't got an apprentice of my own yet.." he trailed off for a second and his gaze shifted to the ground for a split second before he continued, "I wouldn't mind helping out with your training though. If you are up to it." He finished quickly and sat back on his haunches.

Beepaw smiled. "Yes! Yes!" He bounced exitcedly. He quickly darted outside and smiled. "Hurryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Hurry up!" He swam across to the training isand. "What's first? Fishing? or fighting?" The cream tom smiled.

Come on! This is going to be amazinggggggggggggggggggggg! His mind was spinning. "Come on!" What will we do? Fishing? I saw some of the other, older apprentices fish! Or maybe fighting? I saw them practing in camp that one time!

The tom grunted with amusement as the apprentice bolted away so quickly. Spidertail scrambled to his paws and followed after the apprentice swiftly. When he finally caught up to the excited tom he paused and tasted the air. It was crisp and early still. "We have plenty of time to do a few things." He commented quietly. "What have you learned so far?" He questioned as he sat back on his haunches. He wanted to figure out where the apprentice was at with his training so he didn't bore him with repeating something he may have heard many times.

"Only swimming!" Beepaw said, bouncing around. "So! Whattttttt areeee weee learning?!!!!!!" He squeakled, before sitting down panting. "Fishing!? Fighting!? Or are we going to a battle?!" He contuined. I wonder what we'll doooooo

The tom got up, and went into a hunter's crouch, his back going back and forth. He suddenly pounced. I bet that was good! I'm good at hunting! He thought with a smile, and looked at Speckletail. I'll be a warrior in no time! I'm very good!

He purred with amusement. His eyes glittering with admiration at Beepaw's enthusiasm. He will make a good warrior. He thought to himself. He rose to his paws and motioned towards the water running along the far side of the training island a little ways away from where they had entered. "How about we start with fishing? How much do you know about fishing so far?" He inquired as he sat a few tail lengths away from the stream. He peered down into the waters cautiously, making sure to keep his reflection away from the water. He spotted a few smaller fish gliding underneath the currents.
