The apprentice paused at his response, was he still mad? He probably was.. maybe she'd done something wrong? She knew he was mad about her not having friends, but why was he still mad? She must've done something.. well, whatever. They could deal with it later! When he asked about her apprenticeship, Darkpaw hesitated. "Uhh, well, it hasn't gone very well.. I've had three mentors. All three trained me once and haven't trained me anymore. I probably just made them disappointed or something." The she-cat huffed, kind of angry. Why didn't they bother to train her? Was she just not a good enough apprentice? She was supposed to be a warrior by now.. It seemed like just yesterday she was given another mentor. That one neglected her too.

Darkpaw sat in the clearing, lost in her thoughts. She was alone, which wasn't odd. It was awfully quiet today.. maybe she should go find someone to talk to. No, maybe not today. Maybe for once, somebody would come up to her? Probably not, but a cat could hope and dream! A quiet voice began to whisper and she ignored it. The voices got more annoying each day.. Sometimes, they were overwhelming. But today, they seemed quiet. It was so odd to have silence.

His pelt bristled at that, Neglect? How is a cat supposed to be a warrior of their mentors don't do their JOB?! Trying to contain his anger, even though it was spilling out through his face expressions. Pathetic ..all of them. Every single one! When I get an apprentice I won't be a lowly cat who can't do as they're TOLD!
Seriously how hard was it to just obey?! Do your job and everyone is happy. Claws digging even further into the snow " No its not because of you. Mainly that they can't do their jobs at all. Tch, pathetic cats they are " he sort of growled. He couldn't hold it in..

Darkpaw let out a little squeak at his reaction, so he was mad! Not at her, but everything she had to tell! Why though? She knew real friends were supposed to care for one another and worry about them, was this how real friendship was like? The few real friends she had before weren't really.. like this. This was real friendship? It was.. surprising, to say the least. She could get used to this! She slightly wilted at what Hailscratch had said, Blackie was.. pathetic? No, he probably just meant the others! Yeah! "Yeah, I guess so.." Hailscratch wasn't wrong, the other mentors kind of just.. never spoke to her after the first training.. Would she be an apprentice forever? She hoped not..

hopefully she gets a better mentor soon- if the next one neglects her ..so help me-
At least she had the right mind to get the idea he meant. He gave a small smile at her agreement only to sigh again out of boredom. With that he just rolled over on to his back and stretched out his legs and claws, releasing a few pleasing cracks and pops. Huffing he rested on his left cheek "the days are awful boring aren't they?.. "
Nothing interesting happened aside from the clan meetings..which were starting to feed his boredom. Which was funny cuz they usually were boring to him.
Now he was actually hoping that they'd have raids and ...war. Why? Well at least it was something exciting to him. Raids were of purpose and war usually was to protect. He was ok with cats dying in war and raids , again because they had purpose. But he was just wanting something to happen.

The apprentice rolled onto the ground next to him, she stretched out and sighed. "They are.." They were boring. Until she had to entertain the voices and hallucinations. Then she had something to do, but they weren't a fun kind of something. More like a fearful kind of something. She hated them but they at least kept her on her pads. It was just something to do other than sit in the clearing or sob over Blackie's death. She didn't want to sleep either, because what if she went to Dark Forest again? She couldn't bear to see Blackie's kind face again.. She shook her head vigorously to clear her thoughts. Enough about Blackie. Right now, it was about her and Hailscratch being friends.

Sensing something was on her mind, Hailscratch raised a brow "you alright?" he asked with some concern. He was sure she was, probably just over thinking a lot of things. ( oop..short response , couldn't think of anything else -)

Darkpaw looked over at Hailscratch, "Mm? Oh, just.. thinking about my.. brother." She sighed and looked up at the sky, watching the clouds drift by slowly. She felt tired. But she wanted to keep talking with Hailscratch, so she promised herself she wouldn't fall asleep.

He just gave a hum to that, he didn't really have any comment in mind. But he figured that something must've happened to them. Then he noticed that she was drowsy "you know you can sleep..I dont mind " Hail smiled as he rolled back over to his paws.

Darkpaw shook her head, "Ah, I'm okay. I don't need to sleep." She huffed as she rolled to her paws, then she looked over at Hailscratch with a smile. "I'd rather talk to you! Since we're friends now!"
