Blackforest left camp and followed Quailpaw's scent trail. He saw him up ahead in a sunny clearing. "Good, you're here before me," he meowed padding up to him. "I want you to continue to hunt lizards and toads, we will practice hunting snakes later in our training. I want you to catch lizards and toads from above then on the ground. I will also be teaching you how to blend in with you surroundings." He looked over by a dark shadow, went over there, and crouched down. "You want to blend into your surrounding's like this," Blackforest meowed, not being able to be seen in the shadow. "Now can you see me?" he asked Quailpaw.

"Id hardly call that disloyalty, merely reasonability." Adderfang spoke taking a moment to think over her next words. "Being detached and ambitious are good traits but taken too far can be as negative as anything. Ive had cats say Im both but as my friend is constantly telling me lately" A wry grin and a well practiced quote of someone who'd heard this dozens of times "If you continue like that Adderfang youre gonna have a breakdown for stars sake take a break for once you mad woman." She sighed and shook her head but the knowing look in her eyes said she knew the words to be true.
"It's all moderation for most things but there is not one thing good about blind loyalty. Be loyal but question why, only fools are comfortable with knowing nothing." Her face briefly darkened with an all consuming rage for her next sentence before she suppressed it "If you were a traitor you'd abandon all those that supported you and go straight to the enemies." Dont think about Croakingtoad, dont think about Croakingtoad.

"Is this the place where you lost that mega squirrel then? I think I see some of your poor poor pelt in those brambles. You accidentally leave something behind?" She teased pointing a tail at the branches. Really Adderfang had no clue if the fur was her companions but someone had certainly left behind some fluff in a rush.

Smallthorn widened his eyes and his mouth gaped. He stood there for a moment, just looking at the cat. This was a really big thing to tell a cat, and he was really surprised about it. "Oh um," he started. He had no idea how to go about this conversation because he had never been told anything like this. "Don't be sorry.. I mean I won't tell anyone," he reassured. He really didn't know how to feel. He obviously wouldn't tell anyone, that's just how he was. But he really didn't know how to feel about the situation.

Tallfern paused, listening carefully to the accomplished warrior’s explanation. If this was her position, she had truly denounced Leopardstrike’s inflexible idea of clan loyalty, which, very well could have been a contributing factor to their tumultuous parting of ways. She nodded slowly, “Your friend makes a fair point,” she agreed, “None of us are cold, unfeeling soldiers, despite how hard we may try to be.” She paused, bristling in embarrassment at the sight of the bedraggled tufts of calico hair ornamenting the undergrowth, “Oh bother, I’ve been scalped.” She huffed, “Yes, when I last saw the goblin it was rooting around beneath one of these pines...”
She lifted her muzzle to the air and inhaled deeply, emerald eyes narrowed in concentration. She stalked across the forest floor, her heavily feathered paws silent against the pine straw. Despite her size, she was a fairly agile cat; surprisingly graceful as she tracked the remnant scent. The fading tincture led her to the base of a massive pine, where she glanced up into the thick fronds.
“There you are, you bramble troll.” She hissed quietly. About halfway up the trunk, a massive fox squirrel was perched on a limb, plucking the seeds from a pinecone. Tallfern lashed her feathered tail in aggravation. She couldn’t make it up to her quarry even if she wasn’t mildly terrified of heights.

" im sorry it was you a told but." ashfur felt really bad " thank for letting me tell you though" ashfur felt like a wait had been lifted off of him. he loved his clan but he loved pine and his kits as well

" not really, i picked up some stuff watching the apprentices and warriors as a kit" frecklepaw said, he wanted to impress his mentor and show that he was already amazing

"Very good," Rabbitear praised. That was a good way to get started. "We'll start with easy things, then we can work our way to harder moves." @feather lily
