Barkkit rested in a moss nest, her head delicately placed on her front paws. As usual, her mouth felt uncomfortable, especially with her two overgrown canines rubbing against the outer skin of her mouth on her muzzle. When she shifted, she could feel the faint bits of reeds that poked out from underneath the comfortable moss layer. Right now, there was nothing to do - she was completely and utterly bored. When she yawned, her overgrown teeth rubbed awkwardly against her lips, and a tip cut into the corner of her mouth a bit too deeply. Letting out a tiny squeak, Barkkit licked it up, feeling the metallic tang on her tongue. Then she shifted in her nest with no trace of the cut left on her mouth. Her stubby tail poked out behind her awkwardly. Would anybody even want to play with her? She’d seen her reflection and she had to admit, she looked a bit weird compared to the others around her. Barkkit glanced at her brown torbie fur, at the orange stripes that sliced across her back and the dark top part of her tail. Also, she’d never asked Mother this, but who was her father? Barkkit rested her head on her front paws once more, still feeling a bit unsettled.
