Dovekit woke up in the nursery. She looked at the other kits playing with each other. She wanted to play with one kit in particular. "Mintkit?" she meowed. Dovekit looked around the den and saw her. I know exactly what I'm going to do, she thought. She crept around the edge of the den. Dovekit flung herself at Mintkit, when she got close enough, while shouting, "gotcha!"

Lilacshiver woke up and looked around at the nursery. some kits were awake, some queens. she was feeling as uncomfortable as ever, but she got up to wash.

Dovekit batted Mintkit's tail. "Ok!" she meowed. "I'm gonna go outside Lilacshiver." She looked at her adoptive mom then waited for Mintkit to get out of the nursery first.
