Sunpoppy slid into a wince when he heard Echofall speak because that was sure a bummer. If this was an act like he'd original thought, there was much more commitment than expected and a greater willingness to look like a moron in front of the Clan. However, he wasn't willing to do the same. Whatever strange discussion this had turned into, Sunpoppy was already deducing he didn't wish to partake in it.

"Yeah, pal, you and me both," he offered nonchalantly, removed from his answer. "Fun bunch." He felt a confidence in speaking callously when they all had problems here. The dude could join the club. Whatever Echofall's struggles were, they weren't unique.

Being insulted caught him off guard, more prepared for a physical ambush than a verbal assault, and he inwardly cursed at his own obliviousness. He should've known this was coming. Poker face solidified after a lifetime of cruelty, Sunpoppy didn't appear fazed. Outright calling him 'inconvienced by the world' was perceived as a jab at his unconventional appearance--after always playing the target to insults, he didn't know how it could possibly be anything else. Non-malicious remarks didn't even occur to him anymore. "Go to the Dark Forest, jerk." And he cuffed a pawful of snow at Echofall before stalking off. His appetite had disappeared anyway.

Echofall’s eyes widened, and he flattened his ears, dodging the clod of snow with a hiss of surprise. Narrowing his eyes, he leapt to his feet, blocking Sunpoppy’s path. Up close, he was quite tall and well muscled, and there was something rather intimidating about the stark contrast of his steel gray mask and cerulean eyes. His tail twitched lightly, “There is...absolutely...no need...for that, young warrior.” He scolded. However, the deaf warrior did not appear to be anything other than disgruntled, and offered no posturing that indicated he would be physically defensive in the slightest. He sat down, sighing heavily, shaking his head a bit, “I ask...because...it seems as if...someone has...” he cleared his throat, forcing himself to sound out each word, “Offended you. I also ask...because I...nor any other respectable...warrior...do not...appreciate bullying.” He enumerated, “I know...that look...” he placed a paw on his own chest, indicating himself, growing weary of speaking, and gestured between himself and Sunpoppy then to his own temple in a sort of I understand gesture.

Considering the lack of a physical approach thus far, Sunpoppy hadn't accounted for a sudden change in pace as Echofall may as well have flung himself to block his path. His muscles went rigid, jaw clamped shut with a click because this-- this was what he'd been dreading. Every inch of him was a tightened coil ready to be unwound the second the implicit threat of violence became too much. Echofall's sitting position helped to deescalate his notions of what might happen, but Sunpoppy remained on edge, wild-eyed and alert.

No matter what was said, he couldn't possibly imagine Echofall understood. Sunpoppy rejected the idea entirely; if he did understand, he wouldn't be doing the same damn thing this very moment. Sunpoppy was well aware that blocking his path was a threat. It would look undeniably cowardly to have to do a literal sprint in the opposite direction, and he wouldn't risk the jeers from that -- any clanmate in the clearing would be able to see. Even now, he could hear their laughs and taunts, mocking him for falling so stupidly into this trap. His ears flattened to block the noise. He loathed their gazes making his skin crawl with unease.

Sunpoppy was desperate for an out. And he wasn't going to miss his chance to take it. He bared down to shoulder past Echofall with a muttered "out of my way" and a quicker clip than what could be deemed relaxed as he escaped from the confines of the camp, away from their cruel stares coming together in a resounding chorus of pathetic.

Passionkit narrowed her eyes. “Only one part of your story is interesting and that’s because you apparently killed your sisters!” She mewed before noticing his puffed out chest. Allowing a small smirk to grow on her maw(for she knew she’d win she started, “While your story is at the very least...amusing or entertaining mine if far more interesting...for...I yes me Passionkit, was born a Kitty pet!. She paused to add drama.

Continuing the story she mewed,“My mother is a Kitty pet named Berry and my father is named Jack according to my mom. I never met him though because the moment he learned my mother was pregnant he took off never looking back!”. Bitterness stained her voice and she had to wait a moment of for it to go away so she could continue.

“Me, my brother, and my sister lived with my mom for a bit but eventually Peachkit, my sister, convinced us to go and search for a thing called a clan. It took a while to find it but eventually we did and that’s when we met Buckstar out fearless and starclan sent leader! We lived with the other kits and grew up with them, soon we understood clan life! Only one thing else...was unsavory....my brother had always been a bit sexist but upon learning about queens and warriors he became even more so! So now I have to deal with him,” The curly furred she kit finished.

Echofall seemed to soften against Gravehound’s touch, his sapphire eyes nearly lambent as evening began to settle on the camp. He finally crossed his paws over each other and moved them like flapping wings, “bird”, he answered. He then gestured to Gravehound and raised a brow in question, then glanced at the fresh-kill pile in a sort of “and you?” question. He needed to know for future reference, of course. However, tonight he had decided to deliver a far different token of appreciation to the warrior—something he kept and refused to let go of, for reasons he couldn’t quite explain...reasons that had suddenly become clear.

This earned a beam 'I' double tap 'love' a rub on his chest over his heart 'birds!' his sign for birds was different than Echofalls, a little less laborious, he flapped his ears up and down a bunch like a bird keeping his paws clear. Gravehound couldnt help but prance in place, excited and just barley holding himself back from bolting 'I'll go' double tap turning into a point into the territory 'hunt' a drop into a hunting crouch 'birds for us' the ear flapping motion and a point between the two toms 'I'll see you tonight!' double tap and a point to his eyes and then to Echofall before his tail pointed to the sun and drifted slowly down to where it would set later. He even got halfway through his leap past the elegant tom to do some hunting right this instance when he stopped for a moment pausing and hesitating before he leaned in and gently kissed the other tom on the cheek, blushing like a madman as he did and moving off again. With a finally wave the fluffy (moreso then normal he was ruffled like a happy bird at the moment) tom downright prance leaped out of the camp to find the best birds he could for their date (DATE!!) later tonight! (Maybe if he was lucky they could go to firefly grove and see the fireflies later too, the bugs rarely co operated though)

Echofall smiled warmly in response, his pelt growing hot at the gesture. His heart fluttered weakly in his chest, and he raised a paw in farewell, his tail raised in excitement. He bounded off to the warrior’s den, to find the item he was looking for.

Just as dusk had settled on the camp, Echofall waited by the camp entrance, his eyes bright, freshly groomed, his pale silver and steel gray pelt slick and glossy in the pale moonlight. He held something small and indistinguishable between his teeth, his long tail wrapped neatly around his paws.

After a moment she mewed, “I’m sorry for your....loss,”. She bit back the next words that would’ve come. Funny. He has no family yet he has a girlfriend. Dork.

jaykit looked up still bored, he could never play with the other kits because he would ask to join they would say yes then he would not be picky with the game and they would pick a game he could not play without realizing what they had choosen this had happened countless times.

Tigerkit looked away for a sec, then got playful. He began to hop back and forth, his longue lolling out and he swatted at her,his tiny kit-claws glinting.

Passionkit drew back optenmotuhed and let out a gasp. She swatted away his unsheathed paw horrified. “Don’t you know that it is a horrible crime to use your claws on a clan member! ” She sputtered out. While the curly fired kit wasn’t sure if it was part of the warrior code or not she knew it was strongly looked down upon if not forbidden! Who did this cat think he was!?
