Re: ThunderClan Clearing
@ Slushie
Frostpaw glanced around the clearing and settled her gaze on Stonenettle,” All so Buck...star shoved Broken leg on you huh? Good luck with her, she’s a real pain...I always was finding her on the roof of my den with a damn broken leg, and then Buck...star scolded me for not keeping her on the ground, I’m not a kit sitter, I treated her and told her to keep still...ehh, she’ll probably break a leg in a few days, she’s to reckless, not like she’s gonna make it to become a warrior...” she meowed casually.

Re: ThunderClan Nursery
Passionkit bit the inside of her mouth for a momentbefore she sighed and relented. “ I guess that was... okay at least if you were dealing with a smaller or same sized opponent and aimed for the back, neck, head, tail, or paws....,”. After a moment her eyes glinted and she elegantly leaped forward and aimed a tiny swipe at Tigerkit’s ears. “ Now let’s ee how it works against a real opponent. Though try not to get my fur dirty or anything...let’s at ,east make this civilized!” She mewed with a flick of the tail.

Re: ThunderClan Apprentices' Den
// @ Willowfern
"The first skill I ever learned was how to hide," Lionpaw admitted, knowing quite well how untraditional such an answer was. "The second was how to hunt." He never mentioned what exactly he hunted then; the term could be connected to anything from hunting actual prey to hunting dreams. "If you wanna know the first skill my mentor taught me, then that would have to be…" the apprentice thought. "The art of purposely upsetting others," he decided eventually.
Lionpaw smirked, tail waving subtly. "I wouldn't use me as an example if I were you," he suggested. Most felines preferred normality over unusualness, and frankly, Lionpaw could hardly be considered normal.

Tigerkit dodged the attack, and then softy tried to bite her scruff.

Re: ThunderClan Clearing
Feeling slightly anxious for reasons she couldn't exactly figure out, Singepaw headed over to a less crowded area of the clearing. There were no cats over here. She felt safer. Curling up so she was partially concealed by a small shrub, the gray molly figured that a small nap in the sun couldn't hurt. After all, it wasn't like there was much else for her to do right now.

Re: ThunderClan Apprentices' Den
// @ Willowfern
The much older apprentice watched his younger clanmate in bemusement. You're not very bright, are you, he thought bluntly, directed towards Flickerpaw. Such misunderstandings would only cause issues in the near future. "It's not cool, and he's not that great," Lionpaw rebuked. "You misinterpreted my words—my mentor taught me nothing, but he gave me multiple reasons to purposely misbehave. Those first two skills, I taught myself. You wanna know why I'm still an apprentice? Because they don't take us seriously 'til we're warriors, no matter our skill and age." He fell silent then, observing Flickerpaw's movements before speaking up again. This time, less hostility pierced through his words. "You'll need to work hard if you wanna make a difference, harder than most warriors, I bet. Don't use me as an example unless you wanna keep finding yourself in trouble, alright?" After all, only medicine cats could make a difference restrained to their own camp.

His return to safety was only just sinking in and Wrenkit threw himself into Buckstar’s nest to curl up against the leader’s war chest, sniffling and quietly crying.
He couldn’t answer the questions, though he wanted to explain. Frustration at his muteness had long since turned to fury as the harsh reality of being a mute outsider in need of help had made itself painfully apparent. Now, as he longed to explain himself and express his joy at being back and found himself unable, the tom felt hopeless. It was possible that Buckstar had forgotten his predicament so Wrenkit tried to remind the tortoiseshell tom by tapping his throat and shrugging dejectedly.
|
"Ah." His throat felt dry, for more than one reason. How could he have forgotten? And why didn't he go out looking for Wrenkit as soon as the small tom had vanished? He bundled Wrenkit close, swallowing. "Know what? Doesn't matter where you've been. What's important is that we get you checked out by Rainywhisker and get some food in you."
He wasn't sure how Wrenkit had even survived for this long without ThunderClan, but now that he had him back, he wasn't going to let this go to waste. "Can I carry you to the medicine den? And that I can fetch you some food?"

Alright… no, it wasn't alright. Not so soon. He needed time to sit back and reflect; perhaps, then he would feel better. Buckstar pulled back, and Lionpaw glanced at his own golden fur blotched in red. The adrenaline was wearing off, but his mind was too numb to comprehend the pain. Somewhat good? Or not. At his leader's words, the abyssinian murmured, "Alright," even though it wasn't. He turned towards the exit and retreated slowly, hoping that the drying wetness would soon leave his eyes.

Buckstar watched Lionpaw go, then glanced back down at Flowerkit's body. Stars dammit... She was far too young to be taken like this. And he knew nothing was 'all right' about this, but what else was he supposed to say? It wasn't Lionpaw's fault this time - it was that rogue's.
He pressed his nose into her fur before gently picking her up by the scruff and exiting his den. He'd take her out to Firefly Cove, bury her there.

If someone needs a mentor..I'd be glad to be one. Getting kinda lonely over here.. " he said with a small shrug. Should he apologize?... " And...I'm..sorry for that out burst when I returned.. Just.. Ya know.." he managed to get out. This was tricky for him to do since he didn't think he was in the wrong...but he didn't want to be a second Frostbreeze!
|
"Frostpaw? Yeah... for now, at least." He grimaced at his own uncertain answer. The she-cat was unpredictable and he was certain that some other problem was going to arise sooner than later, but for now he'd just have to sit and wait. Nothing he could really do about something that hadn't happened yet.
He gave Lionwhisker a sideways glance at the tom's next question, thinking. If his apprentice left like Condorpaw had, would he leave again too? He was pretty sure that was what had happened, if he was remembering right - but Lionwhisker was back, and seemed genuinely sorry, so maybe a second chance was in order?
"Yeah. Yeah, sure, of course," he answered. "I think there's one or two due for a ceremony soon - I can give you one of them. And, yeah, about the outburst..." Buckstar shrugged and offered Lionwhisker a reassuring smile. "It's fine. Maybe I was being a little too harsh. Is that everything you wanted to talk about?"

Re: ThunderClan Nursery
Passionkit let out an annoyed huff as Tigerkit’s jaws closed over her neck fluff. She quickly tried to shake him off and due to him only having caught some of her fur in his mouth she assumed it’d work. The young Molly was already regretting her decision to engage in this horrible tussle. Why did other enjoy this......uncivilized practice so much?
