Cedarleaf sprinted into the camp. She had to hurry. Had to had to had to. She didn't know how long Sunripple could hold the fox off for. She started yowling for help, the words garbled with panic and the fact she was still catching her breath. She didn't know if any cats would come, though.

"You'll get used to it after a bit," Birchsplash mewed. She lost her mother quite suddenly as a kit and by the time she became a ThunderClan apprentice, she was 8 moons. It was hard to believe that was about 30 moons ago. She'd come a long way since then. "Besides, you'll still see her." @Funtime Foxy

Birchsplash paused thoughtfully for a moment. "Not that I can remember," she mewed. She didn't have the greatest memory, and was pretty much positive that something funny had happened, and it was just not clicking right now. @Leafí

"Alright. So, there I was. A youngster - but still a warrior - n' out hunting with my good ol' friend." He said with enthusiasm before he paused to let the beginning of the story set in their minds. "If you asked me, I was way smarter than him - not in every way though. Oh, certainly not. Just in hunting. He was still pretty good though!" He said before chuckling to himself but continuing, as he didn't want to make them wait. "We caught a bunch of prey that day, and I'm not exaggerating when I say A LOT!"

Oakcreek just awoke from a peaceful nap. He had been curled up on his nest. He formed a complete circle - if that was even possible. It had been a while since the last batch of cats came in for a story, and in the time being, he had decided to take a long and peaceful nap. The tom liked naps, as well as food, and telling stories. All of them peaked his interest. So practically, whatever he did during the day he enjoyed. That meant for storytelling, he always tried to keep an eye on the entrance of the den. Just in case some cat wanted to be told a story.

So, that being said, he was looking out of the den. He was somewhat weary, so he wasn't fully paying attention, but he didn't hear some footsteps nearing, so he straightened himself up and sat tall.

"eh, ok then." Boar'Tusk shrugged. His gaze flicked across the clearing, there weren't to many cats out tonight, A shiver snapped him out of his thoughts and back to reality. Hopefully he hadn't been staring at nothing for to long, he really didn't need another cat thinking he was some weirdo.
So to bring back the conversation he said the first thing that came to his head....
" So.... Uh, how was your dinner?? he asked awkwardly. Wait what the heck had he just said? Oh great! He thought, while kicking himself mentally, who in the gosh darn world would say "how was dinner"? Ugh, what and idiot....

Birchsplash waited patiently as Boartusk looked around the clearing for a moment. She didn't mind if he did that. She did that sometimes. But she had to admit, his question startled her. "Erm... I haven't... haven't had it yet. But I guess it'll be good, because... I mean, it's not like, fish or anything." Her surprise left her flustered. @Leafí

"Yeah anything is better than fish! " he said with a cringy smile, ""I could go get u something if u like?" His words came out rushed and nervous, and his ear tips soon began to burn with embarrassment.

Finally! Applekit had managed to convince the queens currently residing in the nursery to let her venture over to the elders' den on her own - though, upon having looked back once she left she was disappointed to see two heads poking out from the entrance watching her. She stifled a snort and continued onwards, determined to make the journey across camp on her own. It's not like a hawk would swoop down and carry her off, least not in the dead of leaf-bare. They were all probably sleeping anyways. And if not, Applekit was sure she was the most capable of all her denmates in fighting it off. Just try and stop me!

The tiny tortoiseshell kit scrambled up over a loose pile of moss and mushy snow, her entrance into the den less than graceful. "I made it!" she squeaked, puffing out her chest in pride as she gathered herself, unbothered by the tufts of fur that now stuck out from her pelt. Emerald eyes taking in the scenery around her, she spotted the elder that every cat had been talking about. "Oakcreek! With a start, she dashed towards him, tiny paws churning up the soft dirt underpaw. "Are you awake? I wanna talk to you! The queens let me come here all on my own, can you believe it? Maybe that means I'll be moved into the apprentices' den soon!" The rush of questions tumbled out of Applekit's mouth as she now stood at the foot of Oakcreek's nest, bouncing from paw to paw.

The fluffy warrior deposited her prey, a few plump prey animals. The fresh taste of meat lingered in her mouth, making her stomach rumble. She was certainly going to have to eat something afterwards, maybe a fresh squirrel! Mmmm. "Flamepaw and I are back! We caught some prey, and I'm hoping Flamepaw knows more about hunting now." There wasn't anything else to report, really. So, Marigoldfire dipped her head and trotted over to the pile, quickly examining it before grabbing a squirrel. Yum...

Uhhhh.... this was awkward. "Yeah, I guess. And it's fine, I'm not hungry." That was all true. But something was going on here... and Birchsplash didn't like it. It must've been that fresh kill he'd been grumbling over earlier. Or trying to recover. @Leafí
