Fennelheart padded forward, she assumed the deputy would be announced today. She was betting that Berryscorch would be deputy, Berryscorch was the Lionheart, and clearly had proven that she can be responsible and lead the clan to greatness.
Blizzardsky skidded into the clearing. Today was his big day, he just knew it. Today, Sootstar would announce that he would be the deputy. He would finally be given respect and finally she-cats would flirt with him. He’d be the best deputy in Riverclan, he couldn’t wait, but he needed to act mature, like he was calm about it.
