Larkpaw nodded. His ears perked up a bit at the part about ThunderClanners not even catching on immediately or mastering it, and perked a bit more at the mention of sky cats. He'd heard of SkyClan, but they were already gone by the time he was born. He didn't know much about them, though, just that they were named SkyClan for a good reason. As a kit, he'd been more focused on stories of the greatest warriors of all time, of epic battles held long before he was born, of betrayals, and of punishments. Ready to get going and start learning tree climbing, he lifted a paw, ready to sprint off at the signal. He was feeling a bit unnatural giddiness, and it was... unsettling. But he was sure it would go away once they got into the lesson. @bmkmb

The she-cat smiled and stepped out behind her mentor. Se parted her jaws and scented the air. "Hmm, I smell a few mice and voles that way," she said, indicating the direction, "And a rabbit that way." again, motioning towards the way the scent was found.

Duskfern was padding in ShadowClan territory, looking up at the sky and getting fresh air. It had been a lot in the past few days, relaxation would do her some good. Revealed ahead was a dark she-cat, most likely searching for prey. She could hear words being spoken from afar. She had never seen this cat, but the scent smelled like faint ShadowClan.
”Hey there,” she greeted them.
Hopefully they would hear her.

Darkbloom turned around immediately at the sound of this voice, startled. Her first instinct was to unsheath her claws, arch her back, and let out a hiss. Then she slowly got up from that stance. It was a clanmate. Her ears flattened with embarrassment.
”Sorry.. hello.” she looked up at the she-cat.
The dark she-cat tried to identify her, but failed.
“I don’t believe we’ve met before,” she observed. “What’s your name?”

It’s a pretty she-cat, she explained to herself. Then realizing what she thought, she wanted to claw her own face out.
“No, Dark.. bloom. Yeah.” she snapped back to the conversation, and remembered.
Looking back at Darkbloom, she decided to “reach out” as Sweetberry said.
“So.. you going hunting? If you are, I could with you,” she mewed.

”I’d like that,” Darkbloom smiled. “It gets lonely sometimes. Nice to have friends.”
She walked in the same direction she was last time, searching for prey. Her ears twitched as she heard a scuffle. She tracked it to be a mouse near a tree. Crouching, the dark she-cat went forward.
I’ve been trying to catch some prey for a while. I won’t let you get away! she thought to herself as if she was talking to it.
Suddenly, she pounced close to it and caught it before it could scamper away. She walked back to Duskfern, carrying the mouse by it’s tail.
She giggled slightly as she meowed, “Ta-da!”
She padded back to Duskfern’s side and kept going.

Darkbloom was focused on prey, but she never did notice that until now. She looked around like Duskfern, and her walking slowed down.
“Yeah,” she agreed. “It really is.”
She brushed fur with her for a moment, then went back to her side.
She purred with delight of company, warmth, and prey.
“I guess there are just things in life we take for granted,” she meowed, looking at Duskfern with her usual kind, green eyes.
