A smirk rises to his maw as he approaches the deputy, his head cocked up rather smartly.
"That star pupil of yours got lost in the tunnels," he meows. "But the catch was fine. I got two, Thornpaw there got two. You can ask Crowfoot about whatever he got and why it took a while."
After a brief pause in which Nettlespark had turned away to go, he glances back again at the deputy. "For my next patrol, I would appreciate getting to see the new territory before you try and have me become a worm. I'm a little too big for it, anyhow. And tell Irisflame hello, if you still break the rules to visit her- Did Twilightstar ever hear about that, anyway?"
|
He had been busy, doing whatever it was that he did and so glanced briefly over as Nettlespark entered. It seemed that the Shadowclan cat at least knew how to report in patrols, which was something he would for sure commend the tom on. "The star pupil is not my pupil, but rather one who now helps Windclan not starve during the leafbare. And, presuming you didn't get in, what do you know about getting lost there?" He didn't miss the jab at Crowtooth but if Twilightstar had deemed him worthy, then who was Breezefeather to argue, plus the young tom was better than anyone else in there.
"If you so want to take a trip on the territory, then go find a warrior to take you. I don't remember being the one assigning babysitters to other cats, and for context no, we have as little contact with Shadowclan as can be managed. And that, is none of your business. Thanks for the catch, see about eating some yourself as you clearly did a good job despite being grouped with 'worms.' You're dismissed." With that he turned around to the apprentice who had come in running.

"What?!" The deputy was kind of shocked at the yell and just stood there for a brief moment before taking in a deep breath and gesturing for the apprentice to do the same. "Deep breaths Halfpaw, can you tell me what happened and take me to the body please?" Breezefeather was shook but he had to go investigate whatever this was and calming down the apprentice first was the priority. Because if Berrywing truly was dead, then that meant there was nothing to do for him and such calming down the apprentice was the forth most priority.

Re: WindClan Tunnels
The thing about the tunnels was that things went from bad to worse fast and even in a normally not bad situation a quick paw was needed to avoid disaster. So while Thornpaw and Nettlespark were having luck with their catches Crowtooth was narrowly avoiding death as the floor caved in beneath him. In the dark and the noise of the rabbits getting wise it was no wonder the other two didnt hear it, the skunk striped toms jaw snapping shut and ensuring his silence to avoid potentially choking on the loose dirt. Foxdung why was it always him and always in the worst moments, the tom internally growled sliding and side jumping into a much deeper tunnel to avoid the landslide sitting for a second to pant at the near miss. With the earth now between him and the rest of the patrol even if he did cry out to him Crowtooth doubted he'd be able to explain what occurred to him and resigned himself to hoping they would be able to back track their way out themselves, he have to catch up via the long way.... Except.... Double foxdung the dirt covered tom had no idea where he was in these tunnels. This would be a long dangerous lost wander to find daylight. At least he had his rabbits with him to take back.

Dirtpaw padded out of the apprentices den, almost tripping over another apprentice. Luckily he caught himself. The young tom turned to the cat, seeing that he was upset. "Are you alright?", he asked.

Re: WindClan Patrol Place
Interestingly enough Nettlespark wasnt wrong Crowtooth had gotten lost... In the process of escaping from his small underground cave in. As the bedraggled tom wandered in, covered in dirt his three rabbits carried in his may he didnt even have the energy to carry on his anger/irrational hatred of the ex shadowclan cat, just giving a tired huff at them as he passed and padded up to Breezefeather. He looked as done as a cat can be as he dropped his catch and reported "There was a small cave-in in the burrow and I got separated from the group. On the up side the lower, like really deep, tunnels in the west side of the territory have now been explored, on the down side its way too unstable to use (even if it does connect to somewhere out of our territory) unless we get a team of tunnellers in there to re-enforce it. Speaking of which we probably need to talk about how to get the process of training more tunnellers started." he rasped. Crowtooth really just wanted to go to bed and sleep off his bruises but after the disaster of his first patrol he needed to be proactive and do more for his clan. Three rabbits wasnt enough, not for windclan, not after he hadnt been there to help the patrol after he fell.

Re: WindClan Clearing
[QUOTE=Funtime Foxy;893105][FONT="Arial"][COLOR="Black"][SIZE="2"][CENTER]Cricketpaw padded out of the apprentices den bored out of her mind. She wanted to do some training, but couldn't seem to find her mentor. She was way behind on her training and she wanted to be ready in case they went into battle with Shadowclan. Maybe she could force a cat to take her battle training. Gets them to actually do something for a chance. The first warrior she spotted she padded up to. "Hey I really want to learn some battle moves. Mind taking me out to do so?", she asked. At this rate she would never be a cricket warrior. That was all she really wanted.
Thistlewing placed her newly caught fresh kill on the pile and stretched. “Sure,” she said. “I’d be happy to do that.” She started padding away from the clearing. Thistlewing felt a tiny bit tired, but she understood feeling restless as an apprentice. She might as well help Cricketpaw out.

Re: WindClan Clearing
His mouth full of mouse and his eyes roaming a bit in between bits, Thunderkit was very happy, despite the wind that was blowing through the camp. The mouse was so good, and he mumbled thickly Vep., the mouse making him hard to understand. Swallowing, he repeated himself more clearly, purring Yes! He was already pretty stuffed, but as the rabbit slid towards him, it also smelled so, so good. He needed no second invitation to nibble a bit of the rabbit, savoring it in his mouth as he thought about better weather. He wasn't sure exactly what better weather was, he only really knew leafbare, but he had to imagine it would be nice. And probably warm.
What made them unique? He knew they lived on the moor, and there weren't any cats really close by, so that was something, although he doubted that was the real reason. After all, a cat could live wherever it wanted, it didn't have to live in the trees or on the moor. Guessing rather haphazardly, he mewed Cause we're the best? before snatching up another bite of the mouse. It was so good, and he still was unsure why his father didn't like them, but at this point it was probably better to ignore that. @ Arie

Re: WindClan Apprentices' Den
@ Mumble
Wolffang slid into the apprentices’ den, blinking a few times so that his eyes would adjust to the shadowy inside. At first, he’d been glad that Twilightstar had entrusted a new apprentice to him. But when he had found out that it was one of his younger, deformed sisters, he’d been spiteful. Morningpaw should be given a different name, he thought, scanning the rows of nests of the place where he’d spent so much of his apprenticeship. Something like Missingpaw or Tumblepaw. He hadn’t asked for a clumsy, ugly, useless apprentice. In fact, he refused to acknowledge her as a younger sister. Well, half-sister, since Dimtail wasn’t her father. But still. Glaring, he finally spotted the fluffy light ginger pelt and padded over to her. Missing patches of fur, too many toes, a terrible voice... not to mention her weirdly tiny pupils and floppy ear. The floppy ear wasn’t too much of a problem, but the other stuff? Something had to be wrong with the father’s genes for these deformed monstrosities. His mother was too pretty.
Wolffang went over to her and didn’t mind sliding out his unusually sharp claws. He dug them into a fluffy bit of light-colored fur on her shoulder and shook - hard. The claws weren’t deep enough to bleed, but they were harsh enough for her to feel the pricking.
Leaning down, he snarled into her ear, “Wake up, disappointment! And don’t sleep in next time!” He hadn’t even told her when to wake up, but oh, well. Being a deformed cat in WindClan meant that she had to learn to adapt and listen to her superiors.

Re: WindClan Nursery
@ Fuzzy
Bunnykit blinked before sheepishly looking down at her paws,” I don’t really know much about the clans...I know what a leader is, but what’s a deputy, and what is rogue and loner? And are invasions from Shadowclan normal?” she stammered hoping Rainkit wouldn’t deem her a freak for her confusion.

Re: WindClan Apprentices' Den
Morningpaw was curled up in her nest, snoring quietly as she slept. It was well past dawn by then, and she was still sleeping. Well, until Wolffang came in, that is. It was common knowledge by now that her mentor wasn't exactly fond of her, and it was for fairly obvious reasons. In return, she wasn't all that fond of him, either. Though it wasn't really on the same level of hatred, she strongly disliked him. He was just a jerk! When she first met him, she was visible terrified. But now, things were different. Fear was still there (to an extent), but she was done showing it. She decided to start opposing him. Who cares if he was related to her? Who cares if he was her mentor? A jerk was a jerk, and thats all that she saw him as.
As she felt the sharp sting of his claws on her shoulder, she was woken up. Great. There he is, in all of his glory. Eyes snapping open, she gritted her teeth and stared him in the eyes. Aaand, there he goes again. Disappointment seemed to be an ever-occurring nickname for her, and she had to say it wasn't really appreciated on her end. ¨Last time I checked, sir, my name was Morningpaw.¨ She hoarsely mewed, emphasizing the word sir ¨But, hey, what do I know? After all, im just a disappointment.¨ The apprentice rolled her eyes, and she couldnt stop the scoff that escaped her.
