Ramming Firesweep didn’t work but the other warrior still ended up in the snow and Eelsting took that as a success. The chill of the snow leeched warmth slowly from the smoky warrior but the bracing wind was worse and Eel had swam in enough cold rivers to not care about the cold wet fur that now started to plaster to his body. Once they were out in the wind again it would be worse but he was fine for the moment.

“You got it, chief!”

Grinning, Eelsting ducked down and began to hop through the snow, shoving it away to tumble over itself in rivers. A cat sized tunnel became clearer and clearer as he moved, opening up behind him for his companions to follow him. It wasn’t long before he’d broken through to the other side and their path was clear. The other side of the bank held far less snow and Eelsting wondered what had moved the powdery substance to form such a structure.
