Silhouette growled. He may have been injured and still healing, but he wasn’t afraid to fight this cat if needed. And this cat was really getting on his nerves. @Lionblaze2008

Upwalkers? Cosmo just guessed she meant humans but, that sure was interesting. He could see why humans would be interested in the stars.
From what he had also heard from the forest, the cats could really be hunting each other. But, why would so many be in the forest already? Its way more dangerous then the city would ever be. "Same, it's too wild even for me. I'd wouldn't last long out there. I definitely choose the city. I got a good name out there and I know my way around."
Cosmo was about to continue when he heard something.. a howl. He shivered. "Did.. Did you hear that?" He couldn't tell where it came from but if there were wolves out here that would be very unfortunate.

Nodding quickly to Nala, Pit was about to pad off to look for some prey when her tail flicked at him, and sliding into the barrel, he heard her words. It made sense, although she certainly wasn't helpless. You're not helpless. You can fight better than most of the cats here I would bet! You just have to take care of more than yourself. If she really wanted to he believed she could thrash anyone still. She was just more cautious. Neither of them wanted anything to happen to the kits.

There was a truth to his answer that Flute had yet to face. Despite the chance of stability, the forest did seem daunting and horrific. Though she was sure she could manage, she wasn't entirely sure if she would brave the unknown for a chance at possible comfort. "I bet the city has it's wild nights too." There was a twinkle in her eye as she gazed at Cosmo. Perhaps she would have to turn up the heat just a bit in order to speed up this trust train.

As she was about to do just that, a lonesome howl interrupted her. Not many things sent shivers down her spine, and if they did she would always hide it. But she couldn't help but feel her blood run cold. "What was that?" she echoed, turning her head this way and that as if she could somehow catch a source. "Should we go check it out? I mean, if it's a predator, if we got our eyes on it first then we'd be able to plan what to do next." Briefly, she wondered where Chief was. Her brother tended to rush head first into these kinds of situations, no matter the danger level, and she'd been the one to stop him from brushes with death on several occasions. But he was on his own for this one, as she wasn't quite ready to leave her companion just yet.

Granite shot the earthworm an incredulous look. "You ate all the prey in your territory," he echoed. The earthworm didn't look overly plump, which left only two possibilities. "Either you are a terrible hunter, or your territory is barely a fourth the size of the average grove." Although migration might be another factor, the tomcat noted blandly. All the rodents went into hiding around this time, and the birds were long gone. Only certain lost mice still hid beneath the leaves as if the weather never changed. "Or," Granite pointed out to the rather dumb earthworm, "-everycat is playing follow-the-leader, and any prey that might've lived here is now long gone with the commotion you've made." He wondered whatever possessed him to strike up conversation with the earthworm. Speaking of which, "What, exactly, is your name?" the loner prompted.

"Why are you doing this?" Jaggedfang asked. "You barely know me." If the cat couldn't give him an answer, he'd counter with more questions.
