Fawnbriar looked up as Hickorypool offered to take out another patrol. She desperately wanted to , but she couldn't leave behind Thunderkit and Cedarpaw. Who knew, maybe they'd find some clues yet. She knew they probably wouldn't but she tried telling herself anyways to make herself feel better. She put on a smile and turned to her companions. "Cedarpaw, Thunderkit, did either of you find anything in Twilight's den?" she called in her smooth voice. She padded over gracefully, not able to resist keeping an eye out for Breezefeather in case he scolded her for encouraging his kit's eagerness to help.

*Cedarpaw looked at FawnBriar,the Molly tried to collect herself but couldn't, Cedar looked a mess tears streaming down her face,the apprentice turned around,covering her face in her paws,Eldersky had said she hadn't caused Twilightstar to disappear,Cedarpaw just walked back to medicine den* I MI...ght as...well just go back ...into the medicine den and just waste my life away ok. *She limped back and just covered her face*

Fawnbriar watched in dismay as the apprentice turned and headed back for the medicine cat den. "Cedar..." she trailed off. She sighed in frustration. This was no time to be feeling sorry for oneself. But it wasn't Fawn's job to set the apprentice straight. She turned away and trotted over to check the warrior's den for any scent of Twilight. Nothing. She frowned. This was futile. The leader definitely wasn't in the camp.

"Hickorypool, Eldersky, Quailtail," she greeted the warriors. She remembered she hadn't actually asked to go with them yet. "If you don't mind me joining you, may I come?" she corrected with a small smile.

She moved with a steady predatory grace as she walked in the open windy territory as if she belonged there. The moor was utterly dreadful, she didn't understand how any clan could leave so exposed. Even actual rabbits had their tunnels they hid in, WindClanners were strange. What was even odder was how they refused to deal with conflict, she had been waiting for a raid or even some time of confrontation, but no. It was like they were terrified of getting their paws dirty. She would have already torn apart the moor if she had even an inkling of suspicion that the bunnies had taken either of her high ranks. She didn't need to like either of them to own them, Finchwhisker was her deputy and Ebonyfang was her medicine cat, you don't touch what she owned without permission.

Anyway, Dawnstar was tired of waiting. So she took it upon herself to pay the harebrains a visit to relieve herself of her boredom. They weren't kicking up as big of a fuss as she was hoping they would. She even gave that oldtimer quite the hint, perhaps older cats brains' also slow down with time? They must know that she had Bunnystar by now. Either way, she was here now and the game must continue. Bunnystar wasn't breaking like Dawnstar had been hoping, physical torture could only go so far since Dawnstar had no clue how many lives the other had and didn't want her dead in the ground yet. Mental got her nowhere other than the Bunny twisting everything on her and tearing apart her own mind. Since their last... chat, she couldn't hear the voices anymore, the only one she heard was her own. She needed something to take her mind off it.

So now Dawnstar was going to play with WindClan, not that she had any plans of leaving the clan out, she wanted to see how much the Bunny cared for her clan and vice versa. The leader paused at the bottom of a hill, nostrils flaring as she tried to figure out what she was smelling. It smelt fresh, similar to Ebonyfang's scent, but not mixed with pine. It came and went, irking Dawnstar, she didn't know how to track in a territory so open and breezy like this. If she walked around, perhaps caught some prey, some cat should come upon her since she had no clue where their camp was. With no second or third opinion on it, Dawnstar snarled to herself and darted off to see if she could actually hunt in this terrain or not.

He knew there was going to be signs somewhere... and he felt bad for not looking more, for not joining the search patrols in the territory, but if it was Shadowclan... he didn't want to leave the camp unguarded and alone, and he trusted the patrols that had been sent out. So that left him in the clan and within camp borders, and as such the first place the deputy went to, was the leader's den.

It was cold. No warmth or life within this den... and no smell of anything else either outside of the stale scent of Twilightstar. Stale. So she must had been outside of this for a lot more time than just the gathering, and that was when he once again remembered the words by Dawnstar. 'The rabbit had to go back home.' Back home. Obviously the rabbit did not go back home... but that depended on where 'home' was. Was he overthinking this? Potentially... he really hoped he was. He really well hoped that Shadowclan had not decided to get involved in this loss of their leader, but he most definitely wouldn't put it outside of Dawnstar, based simply on the actions and the attitude he'd seen from the gatherings. So if it was Shadowclan... not that he would say so yet, but unless Twilightstar had hit her head really hard and suffered from dementia and wandered off, or had been kidnapped by rogues who would have no point in holding a clan leader captive or at least making her missing, then Shadowclan was the most likely choice...

But he did not want to start a war. Yet, a reassurance plan, a backup plan if it was to be true that his assumptions were correct, wouldn't be bad. Assumptions shouldn't start a war and before he took any action he wanted evidence, wanted proof that at least one part was involved. And... he had a plan. And so, with one last lingering gaze cast at the empty nest, at the dusty den, he moved out. Twilightstar was deeply missed and sometimes the older tom saw her as wiser than he was, but now it was up to him to help the clan in whatever shape he could.

He walked slowly out of the leader's den and looked around in the clearing. Spotting Fawnbriar he waved her over, "Fawnbriar come on over here if you want," and not waiting for the she-cat to come over, he spotted the one who was going to make sure none of them died on this expedition of his. Walking over to Crowtooth, he woke the tom by simply kicking to the grey bundle on the ground with a paw. "Crowtooth. Napping time over, get up, I've got a plan for you and I would prefer if you were awake enough to ensure none of us got killed." Breezefeather had no interest of dying at least, he didn't know about the others.

"Can you lead us into the tunnels? I'll share further details of my plan when we get there, I don't want this to be widespread knowledge as of yet."

Fawnbriar looked over from her spot by Hickorypool and Eldersky. Breezefeather had called her name. She looked between the them for a moment and politely excused herself. Trotting over, she stood back a little as Breezefeather nudged Crowtooth awake. She wasn't the biggest fan of the deputy, but she really wanted to help find Twilightstar.

The tunnels? Why were they going there? She blinked, watching the pair with her good eye. She supposed she would just wait for it to be explained rather than interrupting and slowing them down.

Crowtooth generally spent the entire night of a gathering awake and slept the day after. Maybe it was paranoia but windclan themselves had used the gathering as a distraction for an attack and whats to say the other clans wouldnt do the same? So this was his general sleeping hours and by all appearances he was doing just that but... Twilightstar was missing and the tension was too much for even him to snore through. Instead Crowtooth had placed himself right next to the camp entrance and was keeping watch on the comings and goings under his cover of napping.
So when disturbed his head popped up immediately and despite his look of confusion at the order he nodded and rasped "Yeah I can do that. There actually an entrance right next to the camp, I keep a rock over it to deter kits that might slip out but its just here." padding over to the rock and lifting off of the hole with a grunt gesturing in to the two cats as he held it open, ducking in as soon as possible after the two.
"Theres an open area to talk a little bit ahead just keep going there're no splits yet."

Stonemask decided to stay in the clearing, there was no point in going to search , at least in his opinion, after all, plenty of cats were already searching for Twilightstar, probably the majority of the clan who could. Plus, he could still play a good role in helping to defend the clan incase something bad happened, and that was good to think about.

Good, seemed both were onboard and he dipped his head in a graceful grateful nod to the young tom. "You're in charge of the tunnels Crowtooth, Twilightstar - may she still be safe despite everything - named you the tunneler and therefore you're the one with the authority here." But nevertheless, he dipped down into the tunnel system, and did as Crowtooth had suggested and forged on ahead until they reached the cave. "I have not told the clan yet, but during the gathering, Dawnstar mentioned that:'the rabbit had to run back home.' and here I am presuming she meant Twilightstar. I will not assume anything other than that, but I am suspecting Shadowclan has had some foul play in this, but I am not sure and therefore no drastic measures will be taken. BUT, I think, with Crowtooth's expertice, would dig a tunnel as close to the Shadowclan border as we can, which might turn up useful."

With that he turned around and looked at the other two, waiting for their input. This was his idea but Breezefeather needed both of them to help him succeed with this.
