She woke up to golden light streaming into the herb storage den. She swiftly got up and strode out of the den, scanning the area for Blackie's crates. She spotted them and trotted over to them, nudging her to wake up.

She sat in front of Blackie and nodded, "Yes, you ready for more herbal training?" she asked. She shifted herbroken leg to a more comfortable position.

"Ah, my hero. Ready to slay the mysterious noise." She nodded to his unsheathed claws with a little chuckle, though had to admit it was a smart move. She'd probably do the same thing, if the scenario was different. But she wanted this tom to trust her. If only for a little while. It would be a matter of time before Chief finally met back up with her, and she'd have her cover blown, and from there they would either move on, or if they decided to stay here, be hated by practically every cat for lying about who they were and why they were here.

But Flute didn't have time to think about any of that. She reminded herself to stay focused. Right now, there was an unknown noise, a lot of tension, and a tom beside her that had agreed to check the noise out. Strange she thought, as most would probably turn tail and head back to their upwalkers, but Cosmo seemed brave enough, what with the claws and all. "It sounded like it came from everywhere..." the molly pale tabby agreed, swinging her head this way and that as if to pinpoint the source that way. "Should we start maybe around some of the other buildings, then perhaps down by that huge lake? Maybe it came from underwater. At this point, any spot could potentially be where it's coming from."

She kinda froze for a second, she could barely get herself some food as it was, but she decided that it wouldn't hurt to try and get this cat a mouse. "Alright, but no promises." She bounded off to find one
