Deja hovered outside the entrance to this new... fortress, of sorts. What a weird place -- why hadn't she ever stumbled upon it yet? Well, it was here now, somehow.

Her maw parted to take in the aromas. There were other cats inside, definitely. There could be heard also.... that noise. Er, well, noises. Chatting, most likely. Ugh, annoying.

She stepped absehtmindedly in, only to be greeted with the sight of... a dead cat? And two kittens. Oh. Well, that was strange.

She decided to walk over toward the youthful two. "Uhhh, what happenee here?"

The 2 kittens looked at the newcommer, their eyes glistening with tears. "Mommy's dead!" Cried the shekit. Her brother tried to calm her down and stood defensivly over the scene, staring down the stranger with fierce defensiveness. "What do you want?" He asked

A single one of her brows kinked up. "Dead?" she echoed, the word sour on her tongue. "You're sure about that?" Licking her jaws, she peered past the boyish-looking kit's shoulder, green eyes narrowing. There was blood, yeah, but that didn't always necessarily mean... dead.

Ignorant of the tom-kitten, she stepped forward, tail quivering in the air. She was never going to admit it aloud, but there was indeed a twinge of anxiety withih her, just nibbling away at her gut. And heart -- these poor kits!

Hesitantly but surely she reached a forepaw out toward the supposed mother's body, before unsheathing her claws and slashing the throat briefly. Her only intention here was discovering whether these babies still had a living mother or not. And judging by the fact the body only remained limp, it seemed they didn't. "Sorry, kiddoes. This is a bummer."

Twilight smiled and padded off toward a hunting place of hers that she liked to hunt. she paused for a moment, looking back to see if fire was following her.

Why did Nala doubt herself so much? She was a better fighter than him, and he wasn't bad. The two of them were probably more than able to fight off any cat that came near them. While they couldn't necessarily do that with twolegs, or badgers, cats they could handle. That was partially why he had wanted to move here, even with all of the other, potentially hostile cats. Hopefully the twolegs would leave them well alone, as well as large predators. Of course you can! Besides, I'll be right beside you in any battle. If he was in the area and knew she was fighting of course.

She smiled at him and said

She heard a meow one that made her heart leap. She sat up and looked around.

she didn’t know if she was going crazy or not but, she had to she just has to have a glimpse of her precious daughter again. Just a glimpse.
