Cedarleaf looked back down at her mouse. She hoped she hadn't ruined anything with her answer, because Sunripple didn't reply. Maybe she was right. Maybe this was a dream. Maybe her life was a dream. Maybe EVERYTHING was a dream! What if it was? What if everything was a dream, and every cat lived in StarClan and ended up waking up there after a nice, long nap? What if all cats had different dreams? What if all the cats in her dreams were just made up? No, it couldn't be a dream. She couldn't dream in a dream, could she? And she would've been able to regain her hearing at any moment and stop anything bad or unpleasant. That would've been nice.
Cedarleaf looked up a Sunripple again, her mind torn away from the thoughts when he started to speak. "Good," she replied. She was still somehow a bit jittery from when she confessed her crush on him, but happy. Very happy.
