Moriarty slightly stretched a little, looking at Sherlock. "Fair- that- that's fair- uh-.. Well I've uh.. I've been thinking.. a-and uh...uhm.. m-m-maybe I'll st-stop uh.. y'know.. heh.. t-t-taking gnomes and.. stuff....and....be.. be good..." He chuckled, but nervously, kinda also looking down and sheepishly smiling. He kinda also forgot the 'What do you want to do today' question.

it bc that one time when he figured out how that one gnome got smashed and he figured out it was cherry who did it while unrealizingly acing like a detective--a good one too--literally right in front of sherly boi so he's also kinda asking slightly if he can be taught to be one and change his ways from bad to good

Moriarty instantly looked back up as soon as he heard Sherlock say he could help him, more of a serious face this this time. "You-...Are you serious? You'd really help me.. to....to do.. that..? Seriously....? You would...?" He blinked once, looking at Sherlock. But then he got a worrisome look in his eyes. "But what- what if I can't- can't do it.. what if I can't change...and....and...." Moriarty's voice slightly started cracking as he spoke, having looked back down again and very slight tears falling from his eyes.
