Frostkit blinked, still unsure about how to react. This kit was wierding him out, but he still couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a new friend. "Do you want to play?" he asked, seeing a chance to at least find a playmate. "It's kinda boring just chasing the ball by myself. Can you hear me?" he meowed suddenly as she continued to stare at him.

Her tail drooped and she put her head down. I know, but I'm really shy and quiet. Most of the kits probably won't play with me anyway.

Mumblekit continued to stare. He was probably a fox. He had to be a fox. Maybe he knocked her over, then blamed it on a ball! She didn’t see any other possible way it happened. And, as for the question, she absolutely, positively, 101% did not want to play with him. But she wasn’t supposed to be rude, and that probably fell into the category of rude things to say. Maybe “can you hear me” did too. She didn’t know! After a moment, though, she nodded slowly in response to both questions. Again, she didn’t want to be rude, and she could hear him.
