ThunderClan: Life Before 2023's Sinkhole

Ravenkit simply watched. he was happy for the apprentices and the warriors but he had no real reason to be here except to gain information. When the meeting ended he got up and left for the nursery now tired.

Valleypaw's jaw dropped slightly in surprise as Buckstar assigned her as his apprentice, he had chosen her from among the many ThunderClan apprentices. A wave of excitement hit her like a bullet, almost convincing the she-cat to run over to the leader like a hyper, little kid. However, she managed to squash the excitement down deep and refrain from doing so, giving the leader what she meant to be a stoic nod instead, but really couldn't help her expression from being very much not stoic.
But, she hadn't been the only one chosen - her gaze shifted from Buckstar to Applepaw as she ran forward eagarly from near the medicine cat's den. Ah yes, the one that had gotten injured quite badly during the battle with the coyotes. It was a shame really, Applepaw had been such a pretty she-cat. She shook the memory of that bloody day away, feeling a tad sick at remembering the images she had seen.

The golden bengal she-cat made her way stoically to Forestpaw, seating herself in front of them and surveying them with her hazel eyes. Her expression was serious as she finally said, "You will make a fine warrior. We'll start training immediately." she touched noses with the young cat.

Thistlethorn frowned. Well, that wasn't fair. Every apprentice needed training, whether they had disabilities or not. He began to think for a moment, before coming up with an idea. "How about I help train you? I've got my own apprentice, but helping another won't hurt," he hummed. "What do you need to learn?"

Badgerbranch felt the kit's tongue on his cheek and let out a grunt. He was probably going to pass out, honestly. Blood was pooling underneath him, he was still out of breath, his vision was getting dark, and everything was just in intense pain. He didn't feel right. Who would feel right if they'd been bitten by a coyote? What was the kit even doing here? He could see her jumping between patients. Did Rosekit want to be a medicine cat or something?

The kit was trying, though, which was pretty wholesome. If he thought about it, probably. She was nice, and trying to make him feel better. But where was her mother, or another queen to look after her? She probably shouldn't be so close to him, standing in a pool of blood. How would that look? Her comment made his lips twitch, but he couldn't bring himself to smile. He was too tired, in too much pain, and his thoughts were just muddled. Grunting, he muttered, "I'm not in love with anyone." His words were all breathy and so faint that even he could barely hear them.

He opened his eyes, then closed them again, trying to focus on his breathing. The kit did have some good advice, he guessed. What was something that he liked? Besides ThunderClan in general? Whenever he tried thinking of something, though, his mind just flashed back to Hareflood abandoning him to that coyote. Badgerbranch had launched himself onto it just for his brother, and yet the ash-speckled tom had just... run away from him. The anger helped keep him up a little, but he was the opposite of happy. What am I going to do with you, Hareflood?! he wondered mentally.

Valleypaw barely refrained herself from chasing the apprentice down and smacking some sense into her as she scurried off. Instead, she huffed, turning her back to wherever Iciclepaw had headed off to and surveyed the damage to her tongue. The bleeding had already stopped, so she saw no reason to go bother Rainywhisker over such a small tongue wound - she wasn't a baby after all. But, her mood had officially soured now.[/FONT]

Iciclepaw hadn't spoken to a certain cat for awhile to be honest,,, so her she was, racing through the clearing and into the nursery [this time looking where she was going]. "Tall!" She meowed with a smile at the torbie she-cat. "There you are!"

"Hunting. I've only hunted once, and well, I broke my leg the first time falling from a tree chasing a squirrel." Hawkpaw mewed sheepishly.

"You've at least seen the borders, right?" Thistlethorn questioned. "And your leg shouldn't deter you from hunting and everything else. You just have to figure out a different way to do it, even if your mentor isn't present." He became quiet for a moment before continuing. "Would you mind if I taught you some things? Just to make up for what your mentor didn't, if you'd like."

"I've not really seen the borders, I've never been to a gathering. I had 1 fighting training with my old metor prior to being injured, 1 hunting, and 1 tree climbing, then I fought the coyoties, but never really left camp other than that. No one cares nor noticies me anymore." Hawkpaw mewed
