"You don't have to swim if you don't want to," Mulberry meowed quickly. She heard splashing and directed her attention back toward the lake. "You can watch Thrush and Darius swim," she mewed to Sunfang. "Thrush is a really good swimmer. He might teach you something." Although she was uncomfortable at the thought of her kits swimming, she knew that Thrush was confident in the water.

Tinyleaf looked out into the water and saw her brother swimming with Darius. "Hi!" She called to them. ( @Bramblefire01, @Peril ) "Can I please go in the shallows now?" She asked.

Tinyleaf laughed and splashed into the shallow water. She shreiked at first from cold, then she laughed. She began to bat at the water, and giggle when it splashed her nose. "Come on Sunfang, Ocean, its fun!" She squeaked. ( @leopardstrike4 )

Jaggedfang chuckled, and decided to swim too. He splashed into the water with his kits, and swam out a bit. "Tinyleaf, Sunfang, I want you to try and swim to me. If you slip, I promise I'll catch you." Jaggedfang mewed looking at Mulberry. He wasn't very far out, and the sooner the kits learned, the better.

Tinyleaf shrunk back a little. "You promise?" She mewed.

"I Promise." Jaggedfang replied.

"Ok..." Tinyleaf mewed and she franctically began to paddle her paws to Jaggedfang. As she got deeper, she got more comfortable and slowed her splashs until she was gracefully gliding on the water to Jaggedfang. When she reached him, as promised, he picked her up by the scruff, and placed her on his back. "Your Turn Sunfang!" He mewed.

Sunfang saw Tinyleaf do so well so he splashed right in. all his fears forgotten. He had a thick fluffy coat, like Jaggedfangs, not longhaired like Thrush or Tinyleaf's. That made him slower, but it repelled the water. He splashed over to Jaggedfang, struggling more than Tinyleaf, but still managing to stay afolat.

Mulberry

Mulberry watched with a tense expression as the kits ventured into the shallows and was relieved when Jaggedfang splashed in with them. She wasn't a strong swimmer and never felt comfortable in the water. "Remember to keep paddling!" she called to them, pride blossoming in her chest.

Tigerlily

Nearing the den, Tigerlily pricked her ears as she heard splashing coming from the lake. Switching course, she trotted toward the sparkling body of water. She saw what appeared to be the entire family clustered around the shore. Drawing up beside Mulberry, she dropped her squirrel and watched her younger siblings as they attempted to swim.

Tundra eased into the water. It was nice and warm. Really was a beautiful day. Always with one eye on the kits, she started paddling around.

Embertail awoke and her a lot of splashing in the lake, and saw his whole family near/in the water, including Tinyleaf and Sunfang, who were swimming! Embertail had swam before, but he had shorter, smooth long fur, rather than Thrush's longer, hair-like fur. He decided to join in anyway.
