"Alright." Gingerpaw stepped away from her and dropped into a battle crouch. He tried to be focused, but he didn't want to get Stormpaw actually hurt. He rose up onto his hind legs, swinging his front paws at her ears.

Stormpaw easily dodged the attack and scratched his flank. (It would have been actually scratched if her claws were unsheathed.)

Gingerpaw huffed as she made solid contact and dropped toward the ground. He was panting and he realized how out of shape he was. Lunging toward, he swung his paws wildly in a vain attempt to make contact.

His paws brushed Stormpaw's flank, but it did nothing to unbalance her. Stormpaw lashed her paw out to scratch Gingerpaw's belly.

He let out a grunt as her paw connected with his belly and he stumbled, trying to regain his balance. He tried to focus again, in danger of completely losing control of his movements. His limbs felt slow and heavy compared to the lightning-fast strikes of Stormpaw.

Stormpaw leaped onto Gingerpaw, pinning him down. Suddenly she felt pain in her shoulder. She took her paw off of Gingerpaw's back and turned around, grimacing as the pain returned.

Gingerpaw found himself once again pinned and struggled to free himself. He was about to give up when Stormpaw loosened her grip. He surged upward in an attempt to throw her off of him.

One moment Stormpaw on top of Gingerpaw and the next she had toppled over on her back. Before she could get back onto her feet, Gingerpaw had pinned her down.

The apprentice followed Sunstripe into the brush. She stayed where she was, crouching- just to make sure the prey wouldn't see her shadow or something- although she was unsure it worked that way. Iciclepaw saw the bird fly away,,, right into the warrior's jaws.
"Wow,,,". He seems so much nicer then before,,, i think- that's a good thing,,, unless he's just being nice for some other reason.

Gingerpaw realized that she wasn't fighting back and released her. "Does your shoulder hurt again?" he meowed, sitting back on his haunches. "You were doing really well."
