So the next round of cats that'd failed to do basic tasked had arrive and Snakeheart took the time to level a glare at them all.
"Now unless youre particularly thick like Nightpaw here apparently I think you can all figure out youre called here because you failed to report of bring me any herbs. Did you lot even bother to go out patrolling?! Seriously this isnt a game these are lifesaving herbs that may save someones life and you seem to think its ok to not approach this with the attitude it deserves.... I dont care what excuse you have if someone wasnt there or what you should know better and to just leave them and report they werent there its basic patrol etiquette..... You apprentices have a slight excuse due to lack of experience and the danger being out without a warrior poses but you should've poked at Birdstupid here to take the lead so thats not enough.
As for you Birdsteam dont take that tone with me you may have herbs but youre still at fault! Those should've been back ages ago!

Snakeheart hoped the gathered cats wouldnt turn out to be Barkfuzz and Fiercepaw part two because he was still mad at that and he'd have to stick them with harsher consequences but seriously what did you expect to happen?

Her entire body practically drooping she sighed "I'm sorry Snakeheart, we were waiting for Nightpaw and he never came so I joined a hunting patrol", Mistpaw said embarrassed. She should've waited or double checked with the warriors, she couldn't blame her clanmates for her mistake. She was embarrassed she had missed a patrol, especially such an important one, she knew Snakeheart probably wouldn't forgive her and as soon as she finished whatever her punishment was she made a mental note to go herb hunting.

It was clear Snakeheart wasnt pleased with most of the responses and made that crystal with a low growl and a thrashed tail.
"Mistpaw because you at least can show some obvious remorse and understanding for your wrongdoing Im letting you off with a warning. Next time inform me or whoever gives you the patrol if you cannot complete it for any reason and they'll generally be ok with it and assign a new cat or reassign you. It reflects much much better on you to explain that you tried and failed due to reasons outside your control, like being paired with these two morons, then leave them to assume you didnt at all. Youre dismissed but if it happens again I will come down hard on you."
Now Mistpaw was an example of an apprentice who actually understood how duty to ones clan was supposed to go and how serious you were supposed to take them. But then there was the other two.

"Sorry if I misgendered you Nightpaw but quite frankly shut up youre acting like an idiot. I dont care if you had a training session that matters a hell of a lot less then a herb patrol for things that could save the life of you clanmates! Your training is nothing compared to that you fluff brained selfish wreck! You are not going anywhere and if you walk off without permission I will argue for you to be demoted down to kit for your disrespect and obvious lack of care for your clanmates well being! Now unless you wanna do anything to make your punishment worse you will be changing out all the moss nests in the medicine cats den then on your next patrol you will be getting a thorough education on how a patrol is supposed to be occur! If you didnt want to get a patrol long lecture like a kit actually act like a proper riverclan apprentice your age!

As for you Birdstream! I dont care I dont expect you to be perfect I expect you to do your assigned duties and learn to prioritise the ones that actually save the lifes of your clanmates! I can accept mistakes if you apologise and try to make up for it you miserable excuse for an example! And yet I do not see that occuring, do you think this is acceptable or something?! Youre a warrior and yet Mistpaw has better behaviour then you!"
The apprentices had gotten off lightly by all accounts but Birdstream was seriously making the medicine cat mad.

She nodded at Snakeheart with a diffeated sigh, she would ask a warrior to take her out to gather herbs for him as soon as possible.
