She looked. at her missing leg, where her leg should have been. "Well, my brother was half-blinded. We taught him a special way of fighting. Maybe we could do that for you! Then no one would treat you like you don't matter." When she finished speaking, her eyes blazed with a fire that suggested that she may have been thinking about more than just Tigerpaw.

[Raven~]

"Really? Your amazing!" Tigerpaw bounced up down at Falconfeather's words. "You're the best mentor ever!"

She shook out her head and her gaze refocused, "Really?" She smiled and the angry fire died and was replaced with a hearth. "You really think so?" She scooped earth over the black, "You're the best apprentice I could have. Especially for a first one."

[Raven~]

"We are going to be the best team!" Tigerpaw declared.

Falconfeather agreed, "Yes we will. Now..." She sat down and looked around, "What's your story? Do you get into a lot of trouble? How well should I know my apprentice?"

[Raven~]

"Well...I try not to disobey anyone or the warrior code, so you don't have to worry about that. My story is, the short version, is that I was born with three legs, which made everyone believe I wouldn't become an apprentice. But I proved that I could, was then given Duskleap- a terrible mistake- then... well, actually, that's it." Tigerpaw shifted her paws, hoping that didn't sound to vague.

Falconfeather nodded her head and didn't say anything, "Good!" She jokingly added, "Good thing I don't have an atrocious apprentice."

[Raven~]

Tigerpaw lifted her tail. "I promise that am and never will be atrocious." @Pheasantflight

"Good." Falconfeather sat up and stretched, her tabby pelt rippling. She started to walk back through the pines. "Let's try to catch some mice."

[Raven~]

Tigerpaw jumped up and followed her mentor, mouth watering as she imagined sinking her teeth in a fat, juicy mouse. She opened her mouth, trying to find one.
