ok also... i wanted to say thank you he paused was now a good time to say this? yes it was thank you for letting me join windclan he said. it felt good to say, he was happy to be in the clan with mudpaw and all the kits he had played with over the moons.

Fawnkit blinked. Was that Maplebird? The one who saved her and then brought her to Twilightstar? Chewing on some clover to get the taste of feathers out of her mouth, Fawnkit blinked at Maplebird. Was it really her? And what mother was she talking about? She cocked her head. "Hello Maplebird! Who is mother? You mean Quickfrost? Lets go to the tunnels. You can get stuck in one, and I'll save you! That way I'll be able to thank you for saving me." she squeaked through a mouthful of clover leaves.

Fawnkit looked up at Quickfrost. Her mother? "I-I don't remember. I don't think I have one...s-she probably died..." she told Quickfrost. Fawnkit didn't remember anything about a mother, except... the faint memories of a thunderpath, the roaring monsters, the death shriek of the only cat she knew. Of course, at that time she hadn't even opened her eyes. Now back to the present. "I d-don't have a mother. At least I don'y know o-of one."

(The scene of her mother's death was not roleplayed out, I just made it up on the go. I needed something tragic)

Wolffang gave a small nod of his head. He noticed that Miststone didn't seem to like him very much. He could understand why, at least, for some aspects. The tom considered her words carefully. She had three healthy kits, and her mate was Cricketfire, the former loner. As her tail curled, a certain look appearing in her eyes, he had a feeling that he knew what she was referring to. The tom wasn't currently in WindClan; he couldn't fully remember what had happened to him. So much had been going on lately that he hadn't been paying to certain things that had been going on.

A small stirring of suspicion rose within the tom. Cricketfire wouldn't be okay if he'd been forcefully taken from WindClan, surely? He had a feeling that the tom hadn't left on purpose. One notched ear twitched, but he decided not to talk about that currently. Instead, he meowed, "That's good to hear. New life will do us well in this trying time. Even though your mate used to be an Outsider, he seemed like a good enough cat. I probably missed something, though I'm not fully sure on what happened to him. But I won't probe too much." Although Cricketfire had awoken more questions, that wasn't why he had approached her.

Shifting so that he faced her more directly, Wolffang meowed, "During the fighting, I noticed you slip away to follow Ashfeather. My own apprentice nearly followed as well, but clearly thought better of it." His bright yellow gaze narrowed a little more. "I'm curious as to why you did so."

Actually, he'd hardly seen Miststone slipping away. He'd just seen a light tan tabby shape scampering to stand up by Ashfeather, but hadn't been able to identify her until Rosebriar had given more detail on what had happened. But right now, not only was he curious, he wanted to see what this she-cat's motives were. If she was trustworthy still. Or maybe this could be less of an interrogation. A talk between Clanmates, two who thought very differently. Just a casual conversation.

Rosebriar lifted her head when she saw the apprentice, Mudpaw, approaching. She couldn't help blinking in mild but well-concealed surprise at how tall the tom was. He was around the size of a warrior, with an odd fur pattern: calico markings atop a lilac-colored coat. The she-cat gave him a nod and glanced over at Onewhisker. The gray-and-white tom still looked... weirdly enthusiastic. Tired of sitting, Rosebriar got to her paws and stretched her legs, eyes narrowing before she relaxed and went back to normal. She should at least greet Mudpaw first instead of charging off. After all, she had to have a good relationship with her Clanmates, yes?

"Hello, Mudpaw," she greeted him, glad that he had dipped his head as a sign of respect. She was a warrior. Or, well, they were warriors. Her and Onewhisker. Although any cat could tell that Rosebriar was the best one of the two. No offense to Onewhisker or anything, it was just that she was really good-looking and all that. It should run in the family.An image of Deadpaw and Morningpaw, her half-siblings, flashed in her mind. Those ugly rats. She was disgraced to even say that she was related to them. Wolffang was, too. She felt bad for him, being stuck with Morningpaw as an apprentice. Her mother, Featherwhisker, was much too pretty to have such awful-looking kits. Sunpelt and whoever her other mate had been had passed on their awful genetics, it seemed. That was too bad. She'd liked Sunpelt, for the short time that she'd known him.

Shaking herself out of it, Rosebriar stretched her legs and tail out. She was proud of her tail, with its elegant bushiness. Then she turned to look at Onewhisker and Mudpaw. Where even is Dawnfeather? Seriously, the head of the patrol being the last to show up? How embarrassing would that be? They had to get this patrol over with, or done, since hunting wasn't so bad, yet they still had to wait for the patrol leader.

"Not to be rude or anything," she finally piped up, "but if we are to finish the patrol and get it done on time, we should do it now. I understand that Dawnfeather is the head," she added, hoping that she didn't sound too disrespectful in front of her Clanmates, "but she isn't here yet. And we can't spend forever waiting for her. So, why don't we go and hunt for the Clan? She can catch up with us later." Her ears flicked in annoyance as she scanned the clearing, and then turned toward the entrance. But she didn't leave. Instead, she waited for a moment, looking at Onewhisker and Mudpaw to see if they agreed with her.
