The queen took a deep breath and said very fast through closed eyes, ¨I am not entirely Windclan. Yes, my mother was Windclan, but my father was a loner. When he was a kit, he was abandoned by his mother and found by a Windclan queen. He looked like one of her own kits, nearly identical. Her kit was dying, so when they joined Starclan, she stwitched the two out. He was never noticed to be a different cat, and was raised then on as a clan cat. When my mother and him were young warriors, they fell in love. As soon as my mother found out she was expecting her kits, me and my siblings, she immediately knew that Greenleap was our father. He never told her he was once a loner, even when he died...¨
Miststone ended her story at the verge of tears, glistening in her eyes like emeralds. She stared down at her paws, knowing Twilightstar had a right to be angry, or at least, upset.

(I would rather her not get kicked out of Windclan, I have a future plot in mind)

Twilightstar was trying very very hard to be sympathetic to Miststone's plight, this was clearly very important to her, but Twilightstar felt that she was being a bit dramatic. If she were known for her hatred of outsiders and half-clanborns, and whatever else was out there, then the lilac she-cat could understand the build-up to the big reveal. But Twilightstar has said more than once to many cats that she honestly did not care where they came from. She brought in outsiders practically daily before the problem with Dawnstar occurred, so the leader honestly didn't get what the problem was. Did Miststone think she was some kind of monster.

"Miststone, if your father was brought into WindClan as a kit, even if he was not born in WindClan, I still consider him a member of the clan regardless of his birth. Even if he was brought in as a kittypet, or when he was older, regardless of his background, a clanmate is a clanmate to me. I do not care where they come nor do I blindly judge a cat on something as ignorant as their birth. They have no choice in who they were born to, it is what a cat does with the life given to them, and their actions, that's what I judge them by." She was trying to be kind here, but it was hard not to be blunt. Twilightstar found the whole thing rather ridiculous. "Dry your tears, you've nothing to fear from me."

Her muscles shifted underneath her long coat as the apprentice returned and begun to pluck out a thorn from her nest. The leader hadn't even noticed it, the molly had good eyes. "If you'd like to fetch more, then go ahead, I don't mind." Twilightstar wasn't going to say no to assistance.

Ashfeather was extremely grateful to Twilightstar for being patient while she struggled to get her words out. How pathetic must she sound, stumbling and tripping over every single sentence? She took a deep breath, wishing to calm herself down, but... oh great, now her legs were trembling. With hunger, or fear, or her own anxiety? Her mind flashed back to the times that she had spent with Flameclaw. After her warrior ceremony, she'd gotten better, for the most part. Especially after meeting him. The death of one kit was bad enough, but then her mate dying right after? That had been a huge blow, which hadn't helped when Dawnstar and ShadowClan took over, and then her kits had gone off on some sort of dangerous adventure. All of that had just reawakened her sense of meaninglessness, especially after her-

Then Twilightstar began to talk, and Ashfeather focused all her attention on the lilac-furred leader. Be quiet and listen, she urged herself, forcing her head to lift more and for her extremely small ears to strain forward. The first few sentences were at least a tad bit reassuring... they'd just go looking for a new place that was suitable, and knowing that the leader was going around looking for them was also some good reassurance. Even if they left, she'd be able to find the kits. But then doubt wormed its way into her stomach once more. What if Twilightstar missed them? One cat trying to find two worn-out kits? What if something had already happened to them?! What was the point of coming to the leader's den in the first place?!

Ashfeather tried to calm her rushing nerves and pay attention to Twilightstar. New hope kindled in her chest; if they found the old camp, and probably spent some time looking around, then that would mean that they'd be there long enough for someone to find them. Or... They were apprentices, weren't they? Or, not officially apprentices, but apprentice-aged. She remembered how late her own apprentice ceremony had been: not only a delay because a bird had dragged her out of camp - kind of, she'd also been a featherbrain and had been following it - and then the coyote attack, all those moons ago. But surely they wouldn't just stick around in the old camp? They would probably leave and go looking for the Clan. They're smart, she couldn't help thinking, relaxing slightly. Then: What if they think ShadowClan's destroyed us, or that the Clan's gone forever? Would they just turn around and leave, and live as rogues? That is, if something hadn't already happened to them?

Twilightstar's next words sent a slight shock through Ashfeather. Why was she apologizing for what had happened? It wasn't her fault for Dawnstar attacking her and hiding her away. It wasn't her fault for the dark brown tabby's tyrannical rule, and for all the chaos that had been caused. "It... it wasn't your fault," she began hesitantly.

Yet the leader's final words nearly brought Ashfeather off her paws, and she blinked with shock at the leader. Was... was this an invitation to eat? The black she-cat stood there for a moment, dumbfounded. Did Twilightstar actually seem to want her there? Why not some other cat, someone who didn't look like they had been mauled by ten badgers? The scent of rabbit drifted into her pink nose, causing her stomach to let out a growl, startling her. Glancing at her stomach, Ashfeather almost visibly flinched. Were all her ribs visible? Had her legs been trembling that much? How weak was she? Yet at the same time, she knew that she'd publicly humiliate herself by trying to eat. She was... messy.

But she couldn't just deny this invitation. Ashfeather had to be polite. Taking a deep breath, she meowed, "I'd - I'd be honored. Thank you, Twilightstar." But even after she said those words, she just stood there like a startled rabbit, not quite sure on what to do. Should she sit down beside the leader? Where would she sit? Should she sit?

Twilightstar had been hoping that with some moons on her this crippling axiety that Ashfeather had would slowly evaporate but it seemed not. Twilightstar wondered if her axienty was similar to the leader issues with abaondment. The only differences was that Twilightstar had a better handle on her problems, well bottling stuff up wasn't exactly a way to handle it, but giving into it wasn't something she could do either. If she laid down in defeat and let all of her misgivens, all her worries, all her trauma out all the time, she'd be an utter mess. There was no way she could take care of WindClan and herself at the same time, so when it came down to it, WindClan won.

Twilightstar, for so long, has been the only source of positivity, of authority and emotional comfort. When the clan fell apart, when that leader left everything to her to fix, Twilightstar stepped up and made WindClan better. She learned to play polticis, learned to focus on everything but herself, and was simply expected to make any sacrifices necessary, when things fell to ruin again, to recreate the positive atmosphere... to be WindClan's shining star. She could not dim, could not waver, she had to stand strong even when she wanted to call it quits. Doubts, trauma, and fears had no room here.

So she did what she's always done, the only thing she knew how to do to get through it all, and swallowed it all. Taking charge and worrying about others made her problems seem less significant, it kept her mind busy. It was not a good coping mechinze in the slightest, not healthy at all, but it got her through day to day problems, even if it drained her. It might be good for Ashfeather to learn some sort of technique or something to settle her anxiety. Not Twilightstar's, she wouldn't recommend hers to anyone, but perhaps they could find something different, less self destructive, for Ashfeather. Twilightstar's nose twitched as she could practically see the gears of negativity twist and turn within the warrior's head.

A low hum thrummed in the back of she-cat's throat when Ashfeather commented. A sweet soft smile that failed to light the leader's eye crept on to her face. "Yes, I know that it's not my fault, not really. I thank you for the reassurance, but it doesn't help me shake the shake the guilt that this somehow could have been prevented if I had been more careful." The leader replied in a somber voice. "If, could, would, should, but, than, their words that come with regrets and worries, I can't quite forgive myself just yet putting the whole clan at risk. One day maybe I'll forgive myself, but for now I think guilt is well deserved." The lilac feline opened her maw wide to yawn and shift around in her nest. Her green orb glued to Ashfeather as the molly looked rather astonished by her offer. Twilightstar didn't mind if she declined should she have something better to do, but she'd have to make sure she ate something in front of her later if she didn't want to eat now.

Twilightstar had looked as skeleton thin as Ashfeather when she first arrived back in WindClan. A shutter rippled down her back causing the fur to twitch at the memory of being with Dawnstar. Food had been hard to come by, so she had been rather please to have quite a bit of prey brought to her. So delighted that she might have eaten like two rabbits and was on another half, but she blamed her clanmates for eating habits. They should stop bringing her prey then. She was going to turn into a fat kittypet at this rate. She had all her weight back and then some now.

"You can come sit with me," Twilightstar swept her tail indicating that she-cat should come join her in nest. She was too lazy to go and find another, and she knew what it was like sitting on the ground when you had little to no padding. She had a bit of a bigger nest having grown used to having her Parasite and Mushy show up and curl up with her in it. Now it was just her again, it was a sad and somewhat loney thing to experience. Ashfeather might feel similar considering she no longer had her kits beside her. "You're legs look like there going to collapse, my nest is softer then the floor." Twilightstar mewed while pulling the limp body of the rabbit over to settle it in the between them so that they it wouldn't need to be passed back and forth.

Rainpaw had crouched, paws rooted in the clearing for stars no how long. Blood from her bestfriends broke body had seeped into her pelt. It was sticky and bone chilling. Yet, her hollow gaze just couldn't move. She didn't know what to do. He's dead... Littlepaw, he's dead. The pitch black apprentice reminded herself. The idea was so foreign to her. He was gone, forever kind of gone. Not coming back, ever. A big bird throwing him to the ground and- and killing him...

After what felt like moons the young molly pried herself from her best friend's body. Her paws wobblily as she stood and attempted to move. Blood, already partially dried, left paw prints and splotches on the ground. She had to tell someone. Rainpaw really wasn't sure who. Everyone she actually knew was either dying or disappearing.
Her blooded paws lead her to the leaders den, where she paused, unsure what to do. Rainpaw's yellow eyes peered into the dark. The light of the sunset behind her making the gaping hole in the Breeezerock look strange. "Twilightstar...? Rainpaw choked out, her voice horse and tight. Clearing her throat, the molly practically stumbled into the den. "Twilightstar," She repeated. "Uhh I- mm he- Lil..." Rainpaw stuttered, tears returning to her eyes. Her body tense and shaky at the same time. "Littlepaw... he- he... err... he-" She paused sniffling and rubbing her face. "He's dead!" The messy looking apprentice exclaimed, ears pinning back to her skull.
"Littlepaw... h-he was, was... was taken... a hawk..? gr-grabbed him and- and th-threw him.. to the ground-... He... he died..." Rainpaw sobbed, squeezing her eyes shut as if she would see it again if she had them open. She shook, trembled, unable to control herself. Rainpaw couldn't even tell which way was up, her mind froze and racing all at once. She just couldn't figure out what to do. Maybe Twilightstar would, but the apprentice really didn't consider that.

The clan leader's chest rose up and down in a steady rythem, mocking the tranguility of sleep. She did not sleep, not unless her body was so exhausted, she ended up passing out. Sleep, real, bonified sleep, eluded her. The amber eyes that glowed like the sun and scorched just as hot, they refused to give her any peace of mind when she shut her eyes. She hated waking up in a cold sweat, with a silent yowl on her tongue. So she often curled up in her nest and thought about anything and everything, keeping her thoughts away from the massive brown tabby as much as possible.

The pink nose wrinkled itself at first before relaxing and then twitching again. The only eye in her head jolted open as she quickly rose to her paws, flinching a little when she felt her body protest and mildly throw itself off balance. A little dizzy, but it was easy enough to right with a sharp shake of her head. It took a few more sniffs to figure out what was whaftting through the opening of her den, blood. It explained why all of her senses were on guard and why she was so alarmed.

She was barely able to take a step towards the opening when a pair of eyes peered back at her. The stiff muscles underneath her lilac coat lost all of heir tension as she made out Rainpaw's form. The instinctive urge to go sniff around the molly and locate the source of blood was pushed down with such great difficult that her paw practically shook. She waited for the apprentice to speak, she didn't want to overwhelm her with questions.

It took a little, but Twilightstar finally got a solid answer out of the younger cat. It was a hawk, not that she should be relived at all, but she had been extremely worried about hearing it was ShadowClan again. "Rainpaw." Twilightstar began as she slowly padded over to the she-cat with a sympathic glint in her eye. She took a seat beside the cat and begun cleaning the mess of blood in the she-cat's fur in smooth strokes. She wanted to know why two apprentices were roaming around in the territory unsupervised, Rainpaw had only recently been apprenticed as it was. But getting answers when Rainpaw was like this would not be of much help.

"Littlepaw walks with StarClan now, I know that it might not be much consoluation now, but though he's gone from here his spirit lives on with our ancestors. You can see him again in your dreams." The words would most likely sound empty and unhelpful with Rainpaw's current emotional state, but it was all she had right now. The leader stifled the wail that lodged itself into her throat. It was never easy to learn of a clanmates death, apprentices and kits, more so. Twilightstar would need to speak to Clan about apprentices and supervision once again, she wanted to avoided such deaths in the future if possible. She waited for the apprentice to calm down a little and let her tears fall free before continuing.

If it hadn't been for the cat that had visited her in her sleep, she likely would have run as soon as she had been left alone, but given that she'd been assured they were helping her.... and the names matched..... she would be giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Once she had calmed down, she'd been told to see Twilightstar.
The name..... was familiar, if nothing else. The sound of it had struck a chord within her, made her weary head spin in a strange and marvelous way and made her anxious to see her. Maybe this cat would stir her memories and help her remember.

But as she stood outside the Den she had been shown to be Twilightstar's, there was nothing, no sudden revelation, no aha! moment. After awhile of sitting and staring in frustration, she pressed in, slipping past the entrance.
Something about the Den reminded her of.... something and as her eyes laid upon the leader, it felt like something..... someone was missing.
Flashes of a small, twisted little leg filtered through her head and she paused, focusing on it, but as quickly as they came, the images fled, leaving her feeling particularly empty and void.

She huffed at herself and moved foward, trying to ignore the sinking disappointment she felt. Of course it wouldn't be this easy, she scolded herself.
It never was.
As her eyes landed on Twilightstar, an odd and somehow familiar feeling of love and an air of safety envelope her. Who was she to her, in her forgotten life? Had they been close?
Perhaps she'd been the one who had brought her here, which would explain why she felt safe with her.

She remembers she's here for a reason and hastily dips her head the way she had seen the other cats, flinching as pain flares from her skull and down her spine, making her legs wobbly.
She allowed herself to sit down before her trembling legs could betray her.
"I was told to come speak to you once I was capable."
She didn't know if there was some sort of ceremony to be made when speaking to the leader. Before she can stop herself, she asks her own questions.
"Before I lost my memory.... were we close? Were you the one who had brought me here?"
And then there was the unasked question, did you know who I was? Did she remember her name from before?
Perhaps if someone proved they knew her name from before.... she would feel more at ease amongst them.

@Moonraven

Who was visiting her now? Twilightstar seemed to find herself with an endless amount of cats coming to speak with her. She couldn't say that she was too upset with it, she preferred that her cats come to her with whatever was on their minds, even if wasn't something overly important. The green orb turned as far as it could as she made out the form and the cat that walked inside wordlessly. Coldamber? There was a twinkle in her eye at the sight of the molly, she never knew how much she took the medicine cat for granted until she wasn't around any longer.

The leader had the molly's name on the tip of her tongue but stopped herself before speaking it as she watched the former medicine cat's body langue and expression. To the lilac feline, the she-cat looked rather lost. It must have been a terrible feeling losing memories. Twilightstar had several memories, many worse than good, but she'd hate to lose even one of them, good or bad because they shaped who she was today.

Noting the way she wobbled as she lowered her head in a customary greeting, one that Twilightstar was rarely used to deal with, she had half a mind to tell Coldamber that she didn't need to do that. The words caught themselves in her throat questions were thrown at her. She hides her bitter smile turning her head to lick over the fur on her shoulder. So she really did lose her memory, she almost wanted to laugh at herself hoping that was some cruel joke. Someone must be punishing her for something she did in her past life, why else would they put Twilightstar through such turmoil?

"Wraith, that was the name you gave me when I first found you. You told me that you were a kittypet, a house cat whose folks left you behind. You got out of your den and ran into a fox. That's how you lost your leg. You ended up in WindClan territory, round with kits. I patched you up as best I could and brought you here for better care. You decided to stay, even named yourself Coldamber." Twilightstar replied after she had calmed her inner pain. "We were close enough." She didn't go too deep into their relationship. She'd get upset if she dove too deeply, Twilightstar wasn't distressed or perturbed with Coldamber, just what's happened to her. The molly could always make new memories but losing the old...

"Do you remember anything about your life in WindClan? Anything at all feel familiar to you?"

Twilightstar chuckled softly at Leafpaw's words. "I'm glad that you stuck around, some cats have a hard time adjusting to our ways when they join. You've made WindClan you're clan. We're lucky to have such fine apprentice." Leafpaw had put in all the work to live and stay here, he deserved a pat on the back for stick around throughout everything. He had made this his home, his clan now.

~Miststone~

Surprised by the leader’s rather bored voice, Miststone was silent. Did this stuff happen all the time?
Outsiders, she was always told, and had always hated, had no respect for Starclan or the Warrior Code. She herself had despised the even thought of a loner, but after meeting her brothers and sister again, she slowly had begun to change. When she was told she had loner blood, of course she broke down in tears! Even Whisker, or Frecklekit, had when their brothers said so.
“T-thank you, Twilightstar.” She said quietly, finally looking up at the leaders eyes.

Default Re: WindClan Clearing

The WindClan leader's ears shot up at the arrival of more cats. She was going to have to speak to the furballs that sent to fetch them, clearly, they never made it. She locked her green eye on the tom at the head of the patrol, not yet spotting the older tom she was more comfortable with. The tom caught her eye and immediately begun asking about his medicine cat. If she were emotionally up for it, she might have taken the narrowed eyes a suspicion or something else, but for the time being, she could honestly not bring herself to care too much for the look.

Said medicine cat arrived moments later and she found she didn't need to reply to him. A greeting and names might be nice, but again, couldn't bring herself to fret about the small stuff. The leader did swing her head to shoot a look at Peachfrost when the molly spoke up. They were certainly going to have to talk about her attitude later. Considering that Twilightstar had welcomed Snakeheart into their camp, why wouldn't the the rest of members of his clan be welcomed into the camp.

"Peachfrost." The leader gave a soft warning growl to mind her manners but seemed to leave it at that. It was hard to tell if Snakeheart was offended by the warrior or not, his tongue was a bit sharp but no worse than her own on a bad day. If they were simply going to go back and forth and not trading insult, Twilightstar had no problem leaving Peachfrost be. "How long will you all be staying?" Twilightstar asked, shifting the subject a little, uncertain if this was a simple quick visit or something longer.

Kestrelwing opened his mouth to respond to whoever the mouse-brain was that was idiotic enough to refuse the prey they had brought - and quip about their high rank loses while she was at it - when Snakeheart finally appeared. Relief lapped at his paws like the waves at Seastones, and it was momentarily visible in his eyes before it vanished. He let out a small growl and batted towards the medicine cat, ears back. ”Just had to make sure you didn’t get buried in a rabbit hole or something, Snakebite,” he huffed, feeling heat rise to his ears. Maybe it was only obvious to him how much concern and care he actually had for the medicine cat. Maybe others saw it to.

Turning his attention to Twilightstar, Kestrelwing forced the fur on his neck to lay flat and his muscles to loosen up a bit. ”As long as you need. Unless you force us to eat rabbits.” There was a joking tone behind his words, but the humor didn’t reach his face. ”My name is Kestrelwing, and this is Splashleap and Bumblestep with me. Lionstorm...” he started, glancing behind him and realizing the golden tabby wasn’t there. Huh, must’ve gotten distracted by a seagull. ”...well, he was here.” Refocusing his gaze on the WindClan leader, he allowed himself to fully take in her appearance, having only caught glimpses at the last Gathering. Dawnstar had certainly did a number on her, as well as the rest of WindClan.

Giving a nod to her, Kestrelwing surveyed the rest of the open camp and the curious warriors that were starting to pay them attention. ”We’re here to help in any way you need... We’ve brought fish - don’t mind the scaly taste you get used to it. We can help hunt or train or... whatever you need.” Why was this so awkward? And why had he suddenly felt the need to take control of the group? That wasn’t him. It sent tingles up his legs at the mere thought, but none of it registered on his face as he watched the WindClan leader.

Oh dear, oh dear. Lichenlight was running a bit late, as it seemed the rest of the patrol was already waiting on him. "I'm here, sorry!" The flustered tom glanced down at his paws for a moment before throwing in a quick, "Also, hello everyone." If he was being honest, he'd been a little disappointed to hear that dear Heatherbee wasn't on a patrol with him. But of course, life wasn't always perfect, even with the perfect partner. That was enough thinking for now, though. Time to get a move on. "Shall we head out now?"

@Feathercreek

Bunnypaw nervously padded over to Frognose,” Would you mind taking me out for some training, I haven’t been out since you showed me the territory.” she gently meowed hoping she wasn’t being too forward asking her mentor to take her out not the other way around.

I´m fine, how are you?¨

She sat down, thankfully not on a burr or a sharp rock for once. Okay, good job. You haven't completely humiliated yourself. There´s still hope that you won´t come off as annoying or useless or something. Well, there still is. Socializing isn't exactly your strength. Act.... um.... sophisticated.
Luckily for Flickerpaw, Puddlesplash couldn't care less about her tiny stumble. It happened to everyone, and there was no reason to linger on it. She wasn't facing him exactly, but that was a given with the state of her vision. "I'm doing alright, thanks for asking." A smile tailed on at the end of his sentence. It was a gesture he came to realize she couldn't see, but it just came as a general instinct whenever he was being friendly.

Actually, he'd noticed Flickerpaw had seemed rather down about something as she'd been walking past, so perhaps his goal for today was to make her smile too. "So, how's life? I know we haven't really talked before, but... anything interesting happened to you lately? Other than the whole ShadowClan takeover, of course."

Skyleaf was standing close to the edge of the swooping cliffs. But she was daring. She looked at the water, the sun - it was so beautiful. And the sky was so blue, it reminded her of why her name was 'sky'leaf. Because of her sky-blue eyes. Skyleaf watched the clouds pass by, wishing she had some company.

Rosetail padded over to the open air of Wind-Clan were clusterred around, sharing tounges or exchanging experiences. Warriors greeted her swiftly, before turning around and continuing the work. Rosetail glemed with pride, her pale orange flank reflecting the sunlight that stremed through the patchwork.

The Vast WindClan fields stretched around the Wind Clan border. The sun on the Horzon shinder, as if smiling. Rosetail pricked her ears picking up the fresh scent of a vole. She dropped into hunting crouch and with a flick of her tail she killed the vole. SHe dug it under the ground, proudly as it was just yesterday that she was made a Warrior. As she padded the path towards Fourtrees she saw a group of cats, clustered there. She pricked her nose and ducked into the shadows slowly padding over claser and closer. It was Thunderclan, Riverclan and Shadowclan - metting without WindClan.
