"That, and there little 'I'm better then you'!" Leadshred had hated apprentices because of that, well, Hopepaw wasn't like that.

"Sunstripe!" Buckstar sat up with a small smile, glad the tom had listened to his summons. "Glad you're hear. I have something I'd like to talk to you about, so please, take a seat." He shuffled to the side and patted the ground with one paw.

"Some things have recently come to light. Rainywhisker decided to step down as medicine cat. He elected Iciclepaw as the new medic's apprentice, and took her on a walk to explain... and she received what the three of us believed to be a sign. Iciclepaw relayed to me something about 'morning's ice', and 'the sun that rises'. And Rainywhisker mentioned that the ground looked to be striped." He'd been looking off to the den's entrance as he spoke, but now he turned his gaze back to Sunstripe. "We took some time to think on this, and we came to the conclusion that the signs point to you as the next medicine cat."
