Dawnfeather limps after the stubborn young apprentice. "Your going the wrong way." She says, both concerned and in pain herself. "You know, I can tell Leafpaw you're not taking care of yourself, and have you deal with all that when you get back to camp." She says, half-exasperated.

Rosebriar looked at the two cats talking back and forth. Mudpaw was trying to take a whole hawk by himself? A hawk that was the size of a large cat, maybe more? And the rabbit? Seriously, she knew that apprentices weren't the brightest, but he was just borderline dumb. Dawnfeather was trying to reason with him, but he still didn't look like he was in such good condition. Taking a deep breath, Rosebriar took a step forward. She didn't know if she was still considered the new patrol leader, but maybe she could talk some sense into him.
"Mudpaw, your condition is absolutely dreadful! Do you want to scar over, or even worse, die? You'd never get to be a warrior, or experience other things, such as getting a mate, if we lost you. We also need warriors after the whole ShadowClan scenario. Stop being a featherbrain and let Onewhisker get you all back to camp! I'll get all the prey, or maybe someone - not you, probably Dawnfeather - can help! Alright?" She let out a sigh that sounded more like a huff. "We don't want to drag two large dead bodies back to camp: the hawk's and yours!"
Rosebriar knew how morbid she was being, and disgusted her. However, Mudpaw was just infuriating her and making this patrol even harder! Everything had just gone haywire, she'd gotten all messy without even getting a chance to fight that hawk, and now she was just tired! How come, whenever she was assigned to a patrol - this was the second time in a row, mind you! - did something bad happened? Specifically to an apprentice? Fernpaw, who was flung by that dog, and now Mudpaw, who was badly maimed? She could feel her dark red-orange fur bushing in pure frustration.

Mudpaw stopped at the mention of Leafpaw, his beautiful boyfriend. He scoffed at whatever nonsense Rosebriar had said. He really didn't like getting help, but Dawnfeather was hurting herself to stop him, he turned around, his vision beginning to clear. He dipped his head to Dawnfeather. "Fine, il let you guys help me, but I won't accept any other help until you've been treated, Ok?" He said, head still bowed respectfully, not noticing Rosebriar at all. She did nothing to help but catch a measly mouse, why should he give her any more respect other than an acknowledging nod?

Dawnfeather sighed in relief. "I still think you should get treated first, your an apprentice, and your injuries are graver than mine but . . . I'll what I can get at the moment. "She nodded to Rosebriar. "Lead the way." She says, limping over to the other she-cat.

Re: Sedgewater Valley
Onewhisker had also pressed further when the group split making his way over to a few rabbits. Crouching low he waited for the right time to pounce, catching one he swiped at another catching it by the helly and offing it quickly. Hearing a hawks cry he grabbed the rabbits and raced back to them to see mudpaw limping "what in the blazes happened" he ran over to him and looked over him. "well we best move fast, if you want i can carry him back to camp if someone carries these rabbits, im big enough" he offered while setting the rabbits down "seeing you in your condition, might be best"

Rosebriar felt as though this whole patrol couldn't get more featherbrained than this. At least at the mention of Leafpaw, an apprentice in WindClan who she did know - who was a part of Ashfeather's group, she thought bitterly - seemed to do the trick. She knew that Mudpaw and Leafpaw liked each other, even though they were just apprentices. I had my heart set on getting a mate when I was younger, she remembered. A worm of anger made its way into her heart. And yet somehow, despite my common sense and good looks, the awful Twistedface got a mate before I did! It just didn't make any sense. The world was just so unfair.
Onewhisker had just returned with an extra rabbit. They definitely had the motherload of prey. Onewhisker hadn't even been there to help with the fight! And yet somehow, Rosebriar knew that everyone would blame her, despite her actually trying to help out. What was she supposed to have done anyway, with Mudpaw killing off that hawk so quickly?! She could see it through the pain in Mudpaw's eyes as he just gave a simple dip of his head toward her without acknowledging her words. Seriously. A thrill of anger made its way through her, but Rosebriar pushed it back down. The air was filled with a disgusting combination of wetness and blood, and they had to get back to camp.
At Dawnfeather's instruction, she dipped her head. "I'll gather as much prey as I can," she promised. Then she turned to Onewhisker. "I'd recommend holding onto that rabbit, and maybe supporting them so they get back to camp. They both have leg injuries. Meanwhile, I'll gather the rest of the prey. Could you help me get that hawk onto my back?" Rosebriar didn't know when she had become so accustomed to giving out orders like this, like seriously! Was it just because of the heat of the moment?
Rosebriar bent down and picked up her mouse. It was big and plump, which she was proud of, but seeing as Mudpaw had caught a rabbit - Dawnfeather hadn't caught anything, she noticed - she should've hunted more prey. But we already have plenty, and besides, I didn't have any time! I would've hunted more if I could, but now Dawnfeather and Mudpaw have to get back, and I'm the patrol head now, so I should report to Twilightstar! She glanced at Mudpaw out of the corner of her eye.
Currently, she was holding onto the rabbit that Mudpaw had caught and the mouse that she had caught. With a flick of her head, she gestured for Onewhisker to get the hawk and put it on her back. It was big, so she hoped that she didn't collapse under its weight. Also, the thought of all that blood and feathers, and the foul bird that had nearly killed the patrol members, ripping into her... it sent a shudder down her spine. However, she couldn't give these patrol members any more reason to dislike her! Rosebriar had to suck it up, and after putting this all on the fresh-kill pile and reporting to Twilightstar, she'd get cleaned up. Although the thought of reporting, all messy-furred, wasn't too appealing.

" Thanks for the concern Onewhisker, but I'm fine! It's just a little scratch. Rosebriar.....not to be rude but,.. I'm surprised at how well you took control of the situation. I'm happy to know that you're the temporary patrol leader.......... BUT I'll help carry the hawk. I'll be leaning on you but ill also take some of the hawk's weight" 'More like all of the weight' Mudpaw thought to himself. " Is that ok?' he said.

Re: Sedgewater Valley

(I'm going to give the patrol report to Twilightstar after this post, but we can continue this roleplay if you'd like. It'll be wrapped up soon, anyway.)
Rosebriar glanced over at Mudpaw as the lilac-colored tom spoke. She didn't exactly like how he replied to Onewhisker's comment. That was much more than "just a scratch" and any cat could see that. It was a bone-deep cut that bled heavily into the ground, as was probably expected for an apprentice who had literally killed a hawk, and so fast. Her ears twitched with slight annoyance. Seriously, making the situation more bloody and the wound worse wasn't going to help the Clan. Also, a haul of prey mixed with two badly injured cats wasn't the best thing in the world. Even though she was the patrol leader now, she'd rather have just hunted and not run into the hawk at all.
Rosebriar instantly tensed slightly at the "not to be rude" but relaxed as soon as Mudpaw finished what he was saying. She couldn't help but smile kindly at the apprentice, sweeter than normal, while pride surged through her. I knew that my planning, and the control of all the blood and feathers and injuries and the mess, paid off! Finally, some recognition from her Clan! Cats who thought that she was actually good at her job, and who didn't think that she was messing around and being lazy! She dipped her head. "Thank you," she purred, and added, "I try my best." That was true, wasn't it? All that she wanted to do was help her Clan, all while showing off how pure and stunning she was! As well as her brother. She loved Wolffang a lot. He was so brave and strong and good-looking, and really did a good job of passing down the family legacy. They really did have Featherwhisker's wonderful genes.
However, when Mudpaw recommended carrying the hawk, Rosebriar's leaf-green eyes narrowed. She was the new patrol leader, so she straightened herself up. Well, she already had good posture, but she had to make sure that she looked extra pretty and authoritative. "The wound in your leg is bone-deep. You have others as well, and you're a mess. I don't mean to be rude - you were very, very brave taking down that hawk - but your brain seems a little confused as well. I've seen cats faint from wounds that deep. I don't know how you're even still standing. I highly doubt that you'd be able to carry it on your back. Lean on Dawnfeather, Onewhisker will keep his rabbit and help you, and I'll take the rest back." She paused. A small part of her knew that Mudpaw would still insist. She let out a sigh.
"If you really want to do something, then you can carry the other rabbit. But not the hawk! I'll just get it and the mouse, if Onewhisker, you'd arrange it on my back. That's the best way to do this, in my opinion," Rosebriar finished. The hawk was actually a bit bigger than her, but that was mainly the wingspan. She could handle it! And her mouse, it was plump but wasn't the biggest thing in the world. Onewhisker had to focus on helping Mudpaw and Dawnfeather while she got the rest of the prey back to camp.

Onewhisker smiled softly at her "rosebriar while i see you want to help that hawk is almost as big as you, i can take it and the rabbit " he picked them both up and threw the hawk over his back while walking up to mudpaw and shaking his head "mudpaw are you sure i can't do more to help" he spoke his words muffled while he looked concerned at the apprentice. Onewhisker had always been like this, he was willing to push himself over the limit so others wouldn't have too, yes he was a bit dull but he made up for it in heart not that he thought so. He felt like he needed to do more and what he was doing wasn't enough. he spoke up a little more "and mudpaw dont tell me im fine thats a bone deep cut and its easy to see!" turning to the others he looked deep in thought. "rosebriar, i don't mean to question your orders but our main priority should be getting these two back to camp, if need be when we get there I can come back and grab it. I know a way we can hide it and cover the scent so it will be safe." he wasn't really asking more simply telling her that that was what should happen. She seemed a good leader but he was older and had a bit more experience, he hoped she would take his advice if not then he would just quiet back down.

Re: Sedgewater Valley
Heronflight realized that her voice held so much emotion. She wasn't even sure if she really likes him or not. Her heart said she did, but her head said she didn't need to get into another relationship. Her head had always told her that love wasn't real. Maybe it was she just hadn't found that right cat and she believed that Blizzardsky is that cat.
"Oh yes Riverclan is treating me really well. I feel like I'm right where I'm meant to be. I was never truly happy in Windclan after you had died. My father got back together with the she-cat that had cast me out", she meowed. Even before that her father had grown distant. She joined Riverclan for a better life, but she had grown depressed and then she starved herself and ended up in Starclan.
That was all in the past now. She was looking into the future. The past was just a whisper to her. Never to be heard or seen from again. "It's great that you're going to learn all things I know. I haven't learned how to swim yet, but I do know how to fish.", she responded.
