The ground and his paws suddenly seemed more interesting than ever, but the young apprentice resisted the urge to look down again. He was in enough trouble as it was. Burrpaw pushed the frog closer toward his mentor. "I-I brought you some fresh-kill. It's bot much, but I didn't know what kind of prey you liked..." The apprentice trailed off, hoping his mentor didn’t get even angrier.

"Okay." Swiftfang said, still keeping his gaze upon Burrpaw for a moment, in a frenzy to make sure the apprentice really learned his lesson. "You promised." The warrior said, bobbing his head in slight approval.

His brown-tipped paws reached for the frog in slight greed. While doing so, the Siamese continued speaking. "But I still wish to talk to you about the 'StarClan' issue. I'm not completely sure if you understand it."

He clawed away the slimy skin of the prey while awaiting for Burrpaw to speak, and made no move to be graceful about it. Pearly-white fangs sank into the hearty flesh of frog aggressively.

Burrpaw felt just a littke spark of excitement when Swiftfang didn't seem angry anymore. But, the fur on the back of his neck stood involuntarily at Swiftfang's words about StarClan. The young apprentice made it settle back down and nodded. "I do admit, I don’t understand. With all due respect, and I know I should not have fought against my Clan, but, why is StarClan the enemy? Aren't they our warrior ancestors?" Burrpaw didn’t know where he got this sudden calmness. Perhaps it was his longing to please Swiftfang.

His lips settled into a small grin. "Now, one of these other places is known as the Dark Forest; I'm not sure if you know what it is?" He asked, flicking his tail from side to side. He really did want to know the answer to the question.

"Many cats haven't heard of the Dark Forest, unfortunately. And many of those who have heard of this such place... they... don't believe in it." He ended rather awkwardly. "But trust me, they are a real place, full of many warrior ancestors, just like StarClan." The tom's voice was oddly calm.

"I can't say I know, but I guess it would make sense to have more than one place," Burroaw mused, trying to follow his mentor's train of thought. Was the Dark Forest real? The apprentice made a mental note to ask Fleetclaw next time he trained with him.
