Little Bird, Please Come Home !
Peasants.
Dry, nasty, brown pellets scattered on the slippery white ground.
Idiots.
Vases shattered before his very eyes into little pieces.
These humans let out an annoying cry and shout whenever he flicks a paw or swish tail. Their disgusting bald pink skin of a paw rubs down his fur every time despite the wounds he inflicts. They'll bleed a river and just act normal the next minute with soft cooing and all that crap. A little two-leg would scoop him up to take him in a bright pink room.
Starclan knows he hated that room. It smelled of stinky sweetness and everything you can dislike- it was hard to describe all he knew he wanted to escape. But the exit always suddenly disappears after a loud slam. "Not again," he groaned as the human wrapped a colorful cloth on his head making the calico feel unbalanced, uncomfortable, un..happy. The days continued like this. The only joy he felt is when they released him in the backyard to meet other kittypets. It took a while to adjust to their ..'lifestyle' and how things run around the neighborhood. Warblercry- or, er, Blanket- picked up some new words and learning human's body language when their mad, sad and happy. The urge to completely destroy them cool down a lot since then and things were..okay?
Blanket didn't know what to feel. The warrior inside of him slowly faded away only to be replaced by fat and laziness. Every day echoed, 'I could've left' but oddly stuck in place, glancing at the woods every now and then. He tried to fit in with the other cats but always felt out of place. Only a brown tabby named Lily companied him eventually becoming his mate. A spark of happiness swept away of another weird topic about our owners. The word 'cutter' was new... "What's the cutters, Nugget?" The fat brown cat rolled his eyes, if only he could smack his head back along with it. They hesitated from explaining until Lily started with a light giggle.
However, it wasn't all giggles and chuckles once understanding the star awful word! "That's wickedness!" he jumped up, fur prickled in shock. The kittypets shared confused stares at each other then back at him. 'This is normal' was their response. A dull response..every.single.TIME! Sudden anger exploded from the small calico, ripping off his bluebell collar to the ground as he grunted in disgust to see his stomach jiggle in place. "What has happened to me...?" Realizing how far gone he's been, the tom plopped down from the white picket fence. Snarling, he snapped back at the couple, "You can live like this but I cannot. I don't know why it took me so long to realize that! Lily, if you want...," voice faded to see his mate glaring at him in disapproval Ugh.
She was heavyweight anyways.
"You know, you all judge me because I'm a forest cat but look at all of you. Flower, sweetie, the reason why your lil' crush runs away from you is because..well, you're a litter-butt. Blaze, you're not all that. Trust me, tubby. Lily, you're a kibbledigger. Yes, I said it and we all know it. I deserve way better! And Nuggettt, you talk too much thinking that you have all the answers when we all know it's just crap that comes out of your mouth. Flower and Blaze said it, can confirm." He sighed loudly, it felt like all the misery was melting away. "Well, good luck to you mindless imbeciles. I will not miss you, not one bit." Saying the last words bitterly at his so-called mate. "And the name is Warblercry" With a hmph, he struts away into the forest without looking back at their dumb faces. "Stupid," stomping the grass at every turn muttering. I'm..stupid.
Warblercry finally realized guilt is what gated him from the outside. A warrior becoming a kittypet? That's betrayal. Weak. "I'm none of those..," huffing tiredly already, he barely made progress. He's gotten heavier, rounder, like a complete fool. "I can't join Riverclan like this I'll be a damn laughing stock." The calico whimpered feeling more alone than ever. What would Thistlestep say? A bitter laugh slipped through the maw. "He'll be bloody disappointed, ha.."
Alone in the dark woods, he stood in silence feeling pity for himself. But being the warrior he truly is, it only took a few minutes to gather up his thoughts and plan. "Maybe...I should work out a bit before coming home? Mm..yeah, that sounds good."
End.
