Wildstorm grunted as her and Silentpaw walked parts of the corpse of the fox and it's pelt back into the camp. She was beginning to wonder if Sootstorm was right to bring it here, but she was over the bickering regardless. Whether the clan wanted to eat it or not, at least this way they'd have a say. She had to admit, Rivercloud had a point. Meat was meat when it was leaf-bare. As she neared the prey pile, she lifted her tail as a signal to Silentpaw to stop. She tossed the fox's leg meat that she had brought back near the pile, not in it in case anycat...didn't want that taste in their mouth. "There." She huffed, waving her tail to dismiss Silentpaw. "Go on and...do whatever it is apprentices do right now. Sootstorm isn't the only cat who needs to speak with a high rank." She meowed, although it was closer to barking than a meow.
The scruffy she-cat's gaze sought out an enforcer or the deputy. She wanted to make her own report of what she observed. As she did so, she walked the fox's pelt to Dawnstar's den, tossing it by the entrance for Sootstorm to handle since she already had Rivercloud and Sweetclaw over there.

Mistlewhisker looked up as a few warriors entered camp, carrying a pelt and... a skinned leg? The Deputy raised a brow, and it only rose higher as they dropped it near the prey pile. From her experience with skinning foxes, it was definitely one of those. She pushed herself to her paws, striding over to intercept the cat who brought it in. "Explanation first, then you take that leg out of camp and bury it. Eating predator meat is a last resort that we have not reached yet, so unless you want to get sick, get rid of it." It irritated her slightly that someone wanted to bring potentially poisonous predator meat into camp, but at least they hadn't contaminated the prey pile with it. "I assume this has something to do with Sootstorm taking warriors to Dawnstar?" Great, another problem caused by moron warriors. If they got themselves injured when there was no medicine cat, Mistlewhisker wouldn't feel bad about tossing them to the outskirts.

Oh good, Mistlewhisker didn't like the idea of eating fox meat either. Wildstorm dipped her head and quickly moved the leg further away from the fresh-kill pile to bury it. She nodded at the deputy's question. "Seems that Sweetclaw lured Rivercloud into a trap encounter with a fox. Or that's what Sootstorm believes." She meowed, eyes narrowing with foreboding. "Honestly...I'm not sure what happened. I saw Sweetclaw and Rivercloud getting to go out, then Rivercloud continued on and Sweetclaw snuck back. So at the very least, Sweetclaw lured Rivercloud into getting into trouble." She reported, nudging the fox leg with her claw. "Whether the fox encounter was intended or not, I'm not sure. The pelt was Sootstorm's suggestion for Dawnstar, Rivercloud suggested we might make use of the meat but..." She wrinkled her nose at the leg. "I...wasn't totally sold."
Wildstorm lifted the leg carefully by the bone, bounding out of the camp before digging a deep hole to bury the leg in. Once buried, she covered the hole with fallen pine needles, hoping to cover the scent as well as any traces of disturbed earth. Once satisfied she returned to where she had left Mistlewhisker, dipping her head once more. "I'm sure Dawnstar will be calling Silentpaw and I in for our report on what happened too." She observed. "I wasn't going to intervene when Sootstorm confronted Sweetclaw and was taking care of it, but then Silentpaw decided to follow so that's when I did too. By the time I caught up with them, the fox was already dead." Pity, if she had gone sooner, then she may have been able to take part in killing the fox. But then she may not have seen Silentpaw follow after Sootstorm and Sweetclaw. So...give and take.
Specklekit snuck out of the nursery, and looked around. She smelled something... interesting. Her mom was sleeping, and all the other kits were so busy playing, that no one noticed her slip out. I have to know that that smell is! She thought, stumbling on her tiny legs. She followed her nose and came upon a den with a weird smell. All sorts of plant smells. She sighed, pleased at the different scents.

Mistlewhisker grunted in response to Wildstorm's explanation, irritation running along her spine. She imagined Dawnstar would be calling her in soon for an execution. She dismissed Wildstorm with a nod, as the molly had not caused issues for the clan and therefore hadn't earned Mistlewhisker's ire. "Go see Dawnstar to ensure the story is not misconstrued."

Things were... bad. Mossfreckle was gone, Rookfire demoted, and not a single medicine cat to be seen. Grandmother had banned anyone from entering the medicine den, which immediately made Birdecho want nothing more than to curl up in her mother's old nest and take up the space where a medic should be. But Birdecho wasn't going to break Grandmother's rules, so she did her best to ignore the medicine den all together.
Though a small form making its way to the hollowed den caught Birdecho's attention from across camp. Her spine fur fluffed up as though threatened, amber eyes flashing dangerously. She forced herself to calm, trotting over to the kitten and gently picking them up by the scruff to tug them back to the clearing. "Can't go in there, kid. Dawnstar's orders." She didn't know. She didn't know. Birdecho purposefully pushed all thoughts of Smokekit out of her mind as she dropped Specklekit gently back at the nursery. "Don't try it again. It's not meant for nosy kits." She tried to make it sound light-hearted, but her voice shook a little at the end.
Specklekit shank low, ashamed. I'm sorry! She mewled. I just like the smell of the den. I've had dreamed about smells like that. Specklekit mewed. Specklekit was sad. I didn't mean to break the rules! I just wanted to find the yellow star plant!I-I won't do it again! I promise! b-but... Specklekit hesitated. Her dream felt important, but she didn't know if she should tell anyone. Do you know what the yellow flower with 5 claws is called? @Mica @Estelle

Wildstorm dipped her head. "Of course." Was she looking forward to repeating it? No. But she would repeat the story to Dawnstar without complaint. If Sootstorm's suspicions are founded, as they appear to be, then Sweetclaw is not to be trusted. And the clan has no use for warriors who act like loners. The scruffy she-cat grabbed the fox pelt on her way to Dawnstar's den, just in time to hear Sootstorm summon her and Silentpaw in.

Ugh, Talonkit was bored. She hated this feeling so much. That and she felt so small out here in the clearing! She needed somebody to talk to! Her gaze jolted around camp, finding any other kits to talk to. There was no way she would talk to any apprentices or warriors, she wanted to feel powerful!
That's when her gaze landed on a particular she-kit, Short light fur almost blending into the snow other than a golden sheen. Talonkit strutted over to the other kit, chest puffed out and head held high. "Hey, you, who are you?" It wasn't very obvious whether she was being defensive or genuinely curious. Her question was innocent enough, but something about her expression and body language showed a bit of aggression...

"Mmm?" Buttercupkit tilted her head at the newcomer, carefully assessing her. She was a kit a little larger than herself (though Buttercup had always been rather small for her age), cream and orange and gray, looking down at her imperiously.
She looked like she'd be a great friend!!
Sitting up, she moved her tail so the tip was lightly resting on her front paws, looking curiously at the other kit, eyes wide and bright.
"Hi!!! I'm Buttercup, who are you?" she inquired, already perking up at the thought of someone new to play with. I bet we're gonna do so many fun things together!!
Buttercup was having trouble sitting still already; she had never really had any friends, not truly, and was very excited at the prospect of having someone new to interact with. Bouncing in place, ears pricked forward, and a bright smile on her face, she looked the picture of friendliness.
