Palepaw purrs happily with herself as she managed to catch two shrews, which more than made up for her losing her prey last round.
She carefully padded out of the caves to deposit them in a safe spot, hidden away so hopefully no one else could steal them. She didn't really care about winning, but she was curious what the secret prize was.

It seemed that his luck was changing. This hunting challenge might not have been the worst idea in the world, plus it kept Kestrelwing's mind off of the turmoil going on in his own life. Darting through the tunnels once more, the tom allowed the scent to guide him, rounding a corner and spotting a den of shrews. Quick as lightening, he pounced and managed to catch them, silencing them quickly with an efficient blow to the head.
The tom trotted back and dropped both on his growing pile.

Flamedrop turned and picked up her prey. then she carried it toward a spot and set it down. this will be my pile, she thought. she turned back and sniffed the air again. she caught a scent and followed it.

♠ Kestrelwing ♠ As he turned back towards the tunnels, he couldn't help but let a tiny grin appear on his face. He hated to admit that he was having fun, and would vehemently deny it if anyone asked, but he was actually enjoying himself. He slid easily into another crouch, trekking the same way he had when he'd come across the first den of shrews. Where there was one, there was... Another! Using the same technique, the tom launched forward, stomping on each of the shrews to kill them. One managed to get away, but he didn't let it bother him too much.
With his chin high, he padded back towards his pile and dropped them, casting a glance at each of the other piles beside his.

Fishspeckle stopped in his tracks, he smelled a water vole.
Swinging around he saw the small creature nibbling on something, it was distracted, good!
Crouching low, the tom watched its movements before-
He sprang!
Landing squarely on the water vole, he killed it swiftly and thanked Starclan for the prey, he then picked it up and went on his way.
