It seemed that most of the students were getting the hang of things and learning fast so waiting a moment Snakeheart felt confident he could move on to the final step and get them paddling in place. From there moving around and swimming was easy and how to dive underwater to fish was something better taught individually by mentors who could keep a closer eye. Also the medicine cat didnt wanna deal with the chaos of kits learning to dive, they did not have the scope to be safe with this skill this young.

Speaking of which very quickly two idiot kits with no sense seemed to get in to trouble in the span of a blink when no of the minders were watching. Figures, there were allways at least one child too dumb to be allowed out of the nursery or unwatched who would, inevitably, get their apprenticeships delayed by not following instructions. Snakeheart was officially mad.

"HEY! YOU TWO QUIT THAT RIGHT NOW!! DAWNKIT! STORMKIT! STOP RIGHT THERE AND DONT MOVE YOU TWO IDIOTS ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!!! ARE YOU DEAF OR JUST INCAPABLE OF LISTENING TO INSTRUCTIONS, I DID NOT GIVE YOU A GROUP OR MINDER TO WATCH YOU AND MAKE SURE YOU DONT GET INTO TROUBLE LIKE YOU JUST DID!!! AND DONT YOU DARE GO WANDERING OFF THE TERRITORY IS DANGEROUS!!"

Stars these two nearly got themselves killed because they didnt listen to instructions! Rrrrg now in the wake of his roaring yowl he needed to assign a cat with some minding experience and medical experience to make sure these two didnt wander into a fox's den. Who who who, ah. His ex mentor. Sparrowskip knew healing and how to keep these two from getting worse and wasnt as bad as the medicine cat was with kits. He'd still have to get some queens to mind them 24/7 later but for now stop gap until he could finish the lesson.

"Sparrowskip! Do me a favor and take these two back to camp and make sure they arent going to die of gross stupidity! Also if you could give them a lecture on what they did wrong and watch them so they dont get into any more trouble it may just be what stops their apprenticeship from being delayed any further! I refuse to give any more attention to trouble makers or allow them to remain in a special lesson they dont deserve. I am moving on and I want these two out of my sight."

Now the tom remembered why he did not get along with kits. Mmmrg.

"Alright everyone else time to move on to the final stage! Proper swimming congrats youre nearly there! Some of you may have noticed in your paddling that you've been lifted off of the ground even with paws planted and this is just a natural progression from that. Do a little hop to get off the ground and paddle both paws at once. You may need to try a couple times and if you need help ask a minder to lift you slightly to keep you up until you can float on your own. And dont worry if it just seems like youre flailing to keep yourself up once you understand the motion it'll get easier and you can streamline the movements. Just try and padding in place swimming if you are confident you can try and swim forward or turn (I recommend using your tails to steer) but dont worry if you wanna wait until you're ready."

At this point Snakeheart abandoned his rock and properly started swimming, going past and touching in with each group as he paddled past being an up close example. Besides it gave him something to do and something to vent his energy on after that frustration. At this point it'd start becoming obvious who had a natural knack for this and who needed more time. Which was fine but he did hope to see some little swimmers getting their flippers.

Sparrowskip was sleeping peacefully in the clearing, there was barely any noise and the noise that was there was the birds chirping. It was a perfect time when he was shot up by someone yelling at the top of their lungs. He was a bit disoriented until he realized it was Snakeheart which got Sparrowskip off his ass and running to find Snakeheart yelling at two kits for good reason. As quickly as it started, two kits seemed to have almost drowned and now were cuddling? He heard Snakeheart call his name and sighed a sigh of relief. He nodded and ran up to the two kits. He inspected them making sure they didn't have any wounds and when he didnt see any he gave a very stern look. "I don't think you two understand the trouble you're in. Follow me to the nursery as we need to have a talk." He said flicking his tail.

It took Shykit a couple of tries with the paddling but soon she got the hang of it. She listened next to Snakeheart's words. Ok, so they were officially swimming now. She took in a deep breath in case she went underwater and jumped. Unfortunately, she jumped too much and her head submerged underwater. She flailed around, her rear end up in the air and her tail flailing around.

Lavenderkit listened closely to Snakie's words. She didn't want to miss anything and disapoint her new friend. She tried what Snakie said and managed to do it after 3 tries. She listened again to Snakie's words and she smiled. She had long legs so that would probably help her out. She hopped after Snakie finished and smiled as she managed to do it. Her little paws splashing in the water, she looked at Snakie for approval.

violetkit was hiding in a nearby bush the whole time. snakeheart really scared her. her sister poppykit hissed into her ear, "come on, he isn't going to bite your pelt off!" when violetkit still wouldn't budge, poppykit scrambled out from under the bush and headed for the water. she slid in gracefully and swam around like she was born in it. poppykit accidentally bumped into shykit, who was flailing about, and submerged into the water. small tendrils of seaweed wrapped around her paws and prevented her from reaching the surface again. Poppykit's paws worked furiously and kicked up dirt in the water, making it a mess. Violetkit scrambled out from under the bush. "poppykit!" she wailed. @~Fierce~ @Rani
