A cat on a mission, Mousepaw led the way through the camp entrance, trusting the two warriors to be able to better keep an eye on Yellowpaw than himself. They were their superiors, after all. There was hardly much the older apprentice could command of Yellowpaw himself. At least the tom had agreed to coming with them without much preamble, even after the odd request to speak before getting to Dawnstar for common sense reasons. Well, request granted, he supposed. He'd just take him to Vulturefang first. When everything was said and done, the deputy had been the one to send the patrol to Herondive Hollow.
"Vulturefang, we're back!" the muscular apprentice called out, padding towards the scarred tom. "Found ourselves Yellowfang patrolling the border himself. Wasn't alone, though. Had a ThunderClan apprentice on the other side of the border to keep him company. Requested a chance to explain the situation before we brought him to Dawnstar. Thought you might want to hear what he has to say," he mewed, a stern scowl on his face as he reported their findings at the border.

The ginger she-cat padded behind everyone, brought up the rear to keep a sharp eye on the cats. YellowPaw was pretty stupid to this, that she will admit but it did take some guts. She thought her father, Haven'Gaze, would be proud of her. She nodded at everything her patrol mate said. Dang! This apprentice was good! MousePaw was bound to be a great warrior one day.

"Can I explain now?"He Continued without an answer. " Okay, I was guarding the border. Then I saw a cat- Fallingpaw- But apparently I wasn't sneaky enough, Because he pounced on me before I could react. I managed to get out of his grasp, and I was planning to run away after that. But when I turned, he had blocked the exit! I knew I couldn't defeat him, so I tried to talk my way to his patrol. That's why I asked him if he was bored, Smugpaw and Gingermoon.."He turned to the two cats sharply."Anyway, I asked because I was hoping he would guide me to his patrol by accident. I wasn't actually asking."
He glared at Mousepaw and gingermoon. Annoying, smug furballs. Yellowpaw knew he they knew he wasn't lying. " Now, Mousepaw, you can stop going off. I hate Thunderclan, besides the war. Why would I ever want to hang around those Squirrels-for-cats. Though I must admit, Your stealth is impressive, even for a shadowclan cat."

Ragged ears swiveling to capture the voice of Mousepaw, he turned to meet to young tom. The report had made his half blind gaze go narrow, and it remained this way as he scanned over the group. Great more trouble... But at least it wasn't anything to serious. Nodding his head slowly, Vulturefang addressed Mousepaw. "Great work, kid, honestly. But I would've preferred if you had just killed em at the border." while his tone was on the stricter side, there wasn't any intended malice behind it. He appreciated the toms work, actually he appreciated all of the patrols work. They've certainly earned their due. The only thing that proved to be concerning, is that they gave this rat mercy when none was needed. Thunderclan needed a humbling; just because their leader didn't give a damn, it didn't mean they could go around and wreck havoc.
" Drippingpelt, Gingermoon, you're free to go. Mousepaw stick around a bit longer will you?" with their dismissal at hand, Vulturefang turner to the real problem. Yellowpaw. Scowl deepening, he let his icy blue eyes stare daggers at the apprentice. His 'explanation' was poor, and he didn't want to deal with it. " You have no business being here on Shadowclan territory. " he rumbled, massive frame looming threateningly over the small Thunderclan cat. "I'll be a hundred percent honest with ya, I don't really give a damn about your excuse, I really don't." he drawled. " You're doing nothing but wasting my time, so why should I hear you out? Why should Dawnstar, of all cats, hear you out? " he snapped, head leaning forward to rest in a more eye level position. " She's got a clan to run, and most likely doesn't want to hear your sob story of how you hate living in you godforsaken clan. And I get that, I truly do, but all I can say is it sucks to suck I guess." Shrugging the broad shoulders, Vulturefang gave a pointed gaze that seemed to last an eternity. " So if that's the reason why you're here, you better pack it up before I end your warranty on life right now." If this was the only reason to why he ended up here, then the apprentice was in for some tough luck. And while his explanation didn't fall on sympathetic ears, he was gracious enough to let him talk one last time before he had Mousepaw escort him out of the territory.

Yellowpaw Silver tongue: ACTIVE
Shadowclan
"Hey, when did Dawnstar die? And how did you get to Starcave and back so fast?" He said sarcastically. What a cat! Yellowpaw wasn't lying... lying is horrible. " Listen up, Vulturefang. Why would I try to help Thunderclan? Shadowclan Is the most intellegent clan, what purpose would it have? Also it might seem like I accept bribes, but I don't. I just want to get back to the camp and live a normal warrior life." Vulturefang might have been the most intelligent and strong cat in the clan, but Yellowpaw would still act like a mentor with an apprentice. How did this guy get to be deputy? doesn't even trust an apprentice! Didn't matter what the Mousebrain did, because Yellowpaw was about to do what he does best, even though he had no idea he was this good at it. I have a Proposal to make with you. Give me any punishment you want, besides kicking me from the clan, and you don't go spraying rumors and guesses about me." Yellowpaw suppressed A giant smile. Why did this make him so happy? He was doing A damn good job at concealing it, though.

The deputy's words catching him off guard, Mousepaw blinked in surprise. Maybe he had misunderstood what Vulturefang had meant. It was true, things did not look good for Yellowpaw, but Drippingpelt was his mentor! It would have been cruel to ask for the warrior to end his apprentice's life, wouldn't have it? Although then again, Shadefrost probably wouldn't have had a problem ending his life if it came down to it, and Drippingpelt had hardly reacted to Yellowpaw being out of the camp at all. Maybe the two had a... less than friendly relationship. Not that he blamed the warrior. How did you deal with an apprentice that was so self centered?
Then again, maybe the deputy meant that he should have killed the other apprentice instead of letting him live? Yeah... that might have been a mistake on his part. "Sorry. I didn't know how much battle training Yellowpaw had, but considering he had already alerted at least one ThunderClanner of his presence, I was worried the entire patrol would gain on us with back ups... or worse," he stated, twitching one ear in mild embarrassment at how he might have accidentally overthought things this time around. "Won't happen again," the muscular apprentice added, raising himself taller as he nodded. He wouldn't be making mistakes like those next time.
At Vulturefang's dismissal, Mousepaw turned to leave, pausing in confusion as he was told to stay behind. Worried that he may have messed up more than he'd intended to, he sat down, waiting for the deputy to be done with Yellowpaw before it was his turn to be dealt with. Hopefully he wouldn't be getting into too much trouble for his lapse in judgement. He really didn't want his attempt to keep the little vermin safe to come back and bite him in what had been meant to be a quick border patrol. No wonder Drippingpelt hadn't mentioned anything concerning her apprentice. He'd be pretty mortified to if he had to deal with that. Actually, scratch that. He did have to deal with that. He just happened to call his problem mentor.
━━━━━━━━┛ ✠ ┗━━━━━━━━ RESPONSES TO THESE PUNISHMENTS WILL BE DUE SEPTEMBER 14TH.
If you need an extension VM me please ! This punishment requires THREE post each! One arriving, one fulfilling their duties, and the last one reporting their completion!
You've got to be kidding me...
Leave it up to his clan mates to wander off. Shaking his head, he headed to stand beneath Shadowledge. Blue eyes shining darkly, Vulturefang shook out his pelt before calling the needed cats.
|Mentions: @Vixlz @RogueSkeleton | " Starrylight, and Ruepaw, get your asses over here!" he snapped. " Both of you failed to bring back the needed prey, and now you're going to face punishment. I honestly expected more from the lot of you, but I guess I was wrong... And because of this you're going to leave immediately and not come back until you, Starrylight, have caught four pieces of prey each. Ruepaw, since you're young I'll only make ya catch two. I don't care if it takes you all night to complete this, your doing it whether you like it or not. Now get lost. "
( Since your characters failed to return back to Vulturefang with prey, they'll have to head back to Shadowclan territory and catch the needed amount. If they already did catch something, but failed to report it earlier, please provide the posts VIA VM, and bring these catches IC to him immediately )
|Mentions: @Shade. @poppy. @Ladiebugg |
Alright, moving onto the next batch of slackers. "Fridgidmist
Chubpaw, and Leapmoon. " he called " None of you came back to me with any prey, and that isn't going to happen. Go back to Icy Heartlands and return with as much prey as you can carry. Chubpaw, you'll be remaining here and giving the warriors den a quick clean up. You're a freshly made apprentice, and beating you upside the head with a cruel punishment would do no good. Now all of you hop to it. " Dismissing them with scornful look, he turned to the next cats.
( Your cats failed to report back to Vulturefang with any prey. If you're characters did catch something and you just simply forgot to have them report back, VM the posts and have them bring their catches here. As for Chubpaw, just post once in the warriors den simply tidying up the nest and remove useless twigs and such ! )

Frigidmist's face hardened in embarrassment. She wanted to blame the stupid baby and whoever else was on the patrol but she knew she was supposed to be leading.
LeapMoon flicked her tail. 'I apologize, if I remember correctly, our patrol leader never set out. However, I realize now that I should have taken over and taken ChubPaw out to hunt. I will be back with that prey as soon as I can.'
@elaif
She smiled, making her way out of camp to hunt.

⊹ Morningpaw ⊹ he/him | ShadowClan Apprentice Chill of Death - always active
Morningpaw's nose scrunched up in thought as he padded out of the nursery. Hmmm. Nobody seemed to need any help. He swept his gaze around the clearing before spotting Elmshadow and making his way up to him.
"Elmshadow, ummm. I cleaned the elders' den and—and changed all the moss and got rid of the sticks. None of the elders looked like they wanted any help though, umm, so I, uh, I went over to the nursery to see if any of the queens needed anything." The young apprentice glanced over at the den in question, a slight pout on his face. "Nobody wanted anything there either," he meowed. He paused for a moment, thinking, then piped up one last time, "I could check up on them again later?"
