Bubblekit washed his peachy-mottled colored fur, his eyes closed. Then he stopped suddenly, his deep blue eyes shimmering in the sunlight. Spotting what passed him, he stared at a yellow butterfly. He jumped, battering at it, and it fell, but flew away out of reach. He giggled. "Stupid Butterfly," and he sat down again, flicking his tail. Today was such a happy day.

What an odd name, Milktooth! But it held a warmth to it he adored. He bounced on the spot, his wee legs wiggling as he did so, "Milk, milk! Like Mummys milk! She had lots and lots of it--" Snailkit stopped dead in his tracks, that sad feeling came rushing over him. This time it wouldn't, it wouldn't loosen its grip. Snailkit let out a squeak of surprise. He had yet to be bumped into, the action itself took his little body by surprise! The small kitten fell forwards slightly but instead of discontent, he simply giggled! "Hiiiiii!!" Snailkit meowed as he squirmed to face the feline who had bumped him.

Venomkit jumped back a little in surprise! Usually if she bumped into other kits they would tell her to watch where she was going. "Hiiii!" she squeaked in response, facing the chocolate swirled tabby.

"Well, here we are. This is where you'll train to become a warrior." She said, flicking her ears at the wide clearing full of apprentices. "How are you feeling? The first time I ever saw this, well," Doeflame laughed, "Let's just say a puddle of puke appeared on the floor." Her tail traced a spot on the floor. "I believe it was right here." She padded farther into the training grounds. "This is where I learned my first move," She said, giving Maplepaw a thoughtful glance. "I remember how Loveheart taught me it." Maplepaw looked uneasy. "Oh, sorry, just this place brings back a lot of memories." She said, putting her tail on Maplepaw's shoulder. "I'm sure it will for you too, once your a warrior, which won't be long at all! I bet you're a fast learner!" @Cörruptly

Maplepaw's ears pricked forward once hearing the hopeful compliment. "Th-thanks!" he stammered, a bit uneasily. Was he a fast learner? What would Doeflame think if he wasn't? Would he fail her? What if he never did become a warrior? Oh, it was all too much...

Nevertheless Maplepaw sat back on his haunches, tongue lashing his chops as he anxiously awaited a jumble of instructions.

"Hey. Maplepaw, I want you to feel comfortable with me, or else you're not going to like your apprenticeship." She said, looking into his eyes. "I know you doubt yourself, I doubted myself too." She licked her paw. "But Loveheart, my mentor, helped me get through that, and look at me now! I'm happy, and that's really all that matters." She looked into his eyes again. "I would believe in you if you were blind, didn't have a sense of smell, couldn't hear, and couldn't walk. Would you like to know why?" She went on without waiting for an answer. "Because any cat can do anything if they really believe in it." @Cörruptly

"Hello?" she peeked her head around a tree and saw a familiar cat,
