Flintfreckle padded into the den after his apprentice, head clouded with thoughts. What if he had lost his apprentice and it was his fault? I need to be there for Frostpaw next time. I can’t lose another cat... He thought, distracted from his thoughts as the smell of herbs swallowed him and Irisflame neared. Her comment about his apprentice “patting birds” made him smirk and he shook his head. He felt easier talking to the medicine cat now than he had when they were in the territory talking with Glidingleaf. He returned her soft smile with a one of his own and followed it with a little sigh. “Frostpaw got attacked by a harrier during hunting. I was worried about him so I brought him to you.” Flintfreckle explained, looking away from the medicine cat to his apprentice.

With a deep sigh, Whiskernose hauled himself up from his nest in the warrior den and padded into the clearing. He blinked at the light of the sun. Ugh, why was everyone else so fond of the day?
Eyes squinted, he scanned the clearing for Mirepaw. When he thought he saw the correct apprentice, he approached slowly, hoping he wasn't disturbing any time he might be spending with friends or family.

Kestrelpaw slipped into camp, looking around for his brother. Spirit paw hadn’t been in the hangout, so he wondered what his twin was up to and whether it was mischievous. Spirit paw better not have been holding out on him!

Instead of spotting his brother, Kestrelpaw spotted a different familiar pelt and trotted over there instead.

Heart beating fast, Echopaw gave a strained smile back to Irisflame. Then, her small calm circle was dismissed as... Fawnleap’s brother came in? This was not the time for this. Especially because it looked like the two didn’t like each other. Moving to block Fawnleap from Smokefur, she fluffed up her fur. “It’d be better if you’d leave. You can talk to her later.” She wanted to make herself very clear to this tom. Fawnleap needed to focus on her kits and not a brother than stressed her more.
