Why frog and toad hunting? It was fun and it got more food. Food was one of the most important things in life.

Irisflame smirked over at her snarky apprentice, quite proud of her attitude. Her smile was one of warning, but her eyes sparked in amusement. As Lightbreeze settled down in the mossy nest, she urged Echopaw closer to her injured paw. This would be quite the learning experience. She glanced at Dewpaw, wondering what he would reply. Or do, for that matter. He didn't seem to do much besides laugh and stand around. And annoy her apprentice. Hopefully he was better during training. She sat down next to the twisted-sprained-semi-dislocated paw, the thing looking much worse that something that had been slammed into a tree.
"It does! Comfrey root also helps it heal, at least, kinda." She explained. "But first we have to set her paw. You ready, Lightbreeze?"

Oh gosh. Lightbreeze meowed her eyes closed facing the ground. Yep.

Padding over, Echopaw sat down next to Irisflame. She had a new spark in her now that she got her guess right. She looked curiously at Irisflame, how were they going to reset a paw? She had no idea and hoped Irisflame knew how. Which, she probably did.

Venomkit looked at the swirled tabby with a confused face "What is frog hop?" she questioned. The calico she-cat jumped up and down excited of learning a new game to play and a chance at making a friend

Bravedawn wanted so badly to give this little brat another hard whomp on the head, but Dreampaw got up before she had the chance, so she figured she could wait until next time to do that.
"Yeah, I take back what I said," she snapped. "You're not an asset, Dreampaw; you're sloppy, lazy, slow, and untalented." She easily smacked away Dreampaw's attempted blow. "It's like you've spent your entire life sitting on your ass with nothing better to do. That all changes now."
Bravedawn stepped back, gaze cold and calculating. "The real lesson starts now."

Birchflower noted Freezepaw's disgruntled expression, chuckling softly. "I'm only joking dear. I'm sure you've got quite the personality behind that wall you put up." With her words she began working on replacing the bedding of her own nest, a task that was more difficult than she remembered.

Freezepaw rolled her eyes at Birchflower's statement, giving a shake of her head. "Nope, sorry, much to your disappointment I'm about as bland as you just described." She meowed, though while the statement was a sarcastic one, there wasn't a hint of that tone in her voice. Her tone was flat and serious. And this was why she wasn't funny, according to Scorchpaw as well. She was no good at lacing her voice with the tone to match her words. "Well, if most of you get around so fine, then that's just my point. Why are the apprentices doing this stuff?" Freezepaw tugged at a particularly stuck piece of moss, ripping it apart with her force. She let out a growl and discarded the torn chunk, turning to pad out of the den. She stuck her head out before dragging in another pile of moss from the pile she'd made just outside the den. She wasn't going to let it all stink up at one time. "There was supposed to be another apprentice helping me, but they never showed up." Freezepaw stated matter-of-factly, ears flicking as she began, much more gently, separating the different chunks of moss. "Had to go and gather all the moss by myself too. I suppose I got some good exercise out of it though." She narrowed her eyes as she tugged again at the moss, which clearly just liked being difficult today.

Snailkit wanted to believe her, he really did. He relaxed a smidge, resting his squishy cheek against her warm pelt. Having a cuddle from a queen was lovely, he felt relaxed and wanted. A change of emotions from the isolated sorrow he had found himself falling into. "I'm so lonely," Snailkit whispered, comfortable enough with the queen to tell her so. He peered back up at Milktooth, a single tear rolling down his cheek. "can-can you be my Mummy?"

Milktooth was surprised by the question, but she only allowed her gaze to soften. Snailkit was far too young to be all alone, no one should be alone but especially a little kit. "O-of course, I can be your mother." She pressed her nose to the tom-kit's ear with a gentle smile. There was no way she'd ever turn down a request like that one. "You won't have to be lonely."

Snailkit seemed to almost instantly relax, knowing his future was a little bit more secured. He didn't have to worry about who was going to cuddle and groom him, who he could turn to during a thunder storm. Everything was... lighter, brighter! Snailkit would have smiled but the whirlwind of emotions had made his eyelids heavy, his body drowsy. "Thankies," Snailkit whispered as he relaxed further into Milktooths warmth, completely soothed by the molly. "I go... night night, yeah?" He meowed with a loud yawn.

Snailkits curly whiskers gave a quiver of excitement as he bowed down, his flank and triangular tail up in the air. "Whatcha do is hop over eachother! Like froggies do!" Or so he assumed they did, he only really knew what they tasted like.
