Considering this was their first meeting , Applehaze thought it was going well. Better than most of his previous interactions with others. And , on top of that , Puddlepaw seemed like a generally nice person! Looking around , he saw a few newly assigned mentors touching noses with their apprentice. Wait , were they supposed to do that? He looked to the right of him , then the left of him , then back to Puddlepaw. He'd...do that in a moment— he should figure out how far the other is in their training first. “How far are you in you're training?” He inquired. It was better to know how much he actually knew so Applehaze had a slight idea of what to teach him. But , he assumed Puddlepaw at least knee the basics , unless his previous mentor hadn't actually taught him anything at all. “Have you gone into the territory before , with your previous mentor? Or anything similar?”

That would be sad.

“Also , are we supposed to be touching noses?” He asked another question , however this time he said it in a whisper-like tone , as if he was embarrassed if anyone else would hear him. It was embarrassing! Most warriors probably knew this stuff , but Applehaze didn't. “...because I saw a few of the other warriors do it.” Wow , good for him for exposing himself and the fact he didn't know what to do. I'm not the only one who's new to this he reassured himself. He should probably be happy that he's been to this— he could learn something!

Rushingmoor stood from where he sat and made his way to the front. The sleek tom didn’t know this apprentice, nor why they needed a new mentor, but he intended to get the young cat on track as soon as possible. There would be no messing around. Heathernose caught the name ‘Daisybloom’ and perked her ears. That had been the kind she cat from Shadowclan. The tortoiseshell molly cheerfully called her new name,

“Lilypaw! Lilypaw!”

Then, she wound forward toward the front of the crowd, planning on congratulating and welcoming the new clan mate.

"Oh, hi." Curlpaw stepped up to his new mentor. "What's a tangent? What's egsasental?"

"Yeah Im pretty excited but I really dont mind waiting for awhile. Theres a couple of ceremonies I want to see before Im an apprentice." He said thinking of Creekpaw. "And I dont think I'll ever look forward to battles, hurting another cat isnt something I really like the idea of." He rasped downcast. "And with the idiots we have in clan, and in charge" He whispered the second bit gazing at the clans own deputy "- fighting seems unavoidable"

Not as bad as Foxpoo? Who even was that? Oh I hope I'm better then them... Silentwhisper silently commented willing to StarClan she would be. She would step back after they touched noses, not sure how to go on about this. Forcing out a smile she nodded to Cherrypaw. Yes, uh that would work? Silentwhisper wasn't sure really. It was hard to figure things out. This was all knew to her and not being able to speak was making this worse. Whiskers twitching, betraying her somewhat calm domineer, the silver point motioned them away from the standing cats to sit. Cherrypaw didn't have to come but... it might be better if she did? Silentwhisper wasn't sure really. Not sure about any of this.

Silentwhisper honestly couldn't comprehend this. Her mind wouldn't let her. It was still stuck in a repeating cycle of confusing thoughts. Eaglesoul was gone, she knew that but her brain didn't want to believe that. It just wanted to make it unreal. Yet, at the same time her brain was trying to find a reason that he was gone. Did he just wonder off? Get sick? Hurt? Captured? Get tired of waiting? No... that wasn't it. It couldn't be. They had known each other over half their lives. He would just leave. No, no he couldn't.
When Weaselskip pressed against her and nuzzled her Silentwhisper almost jumped. She really wasn't used to being touched by many cats. Fawnkit had been the only cat beside Eagelsoul to cuddle her in a long while. It was shocking to have another warrior nuzzle her. Her Blue eyes flickered over to the younger molly pressed to her. She really forgot that others could help her relax as well. Shadepaw used to help her... That was before she died though.
With Weaselskips speech about toms and swinging to the other side. Was she trying to convince her to become homosexual? Silentwhisper wasn't sure she agreed with that reasoning but it made sense. Mollies didn't leave other molly's with kits. For obvious reasons. But that wasn't the problem. Was it? No. No. Silentwhiper wouldn't be 'getting over' Eaglesoul anyhow. He washer love, not some random tom. Even if he was gone she wasn't just going to move on from him. She wouldn't try to bring that up though...
The surprising that was that Weaselskip actually said something that, made her feel better. Silentwhisper honestly had thought she couldn't after her last bust of words. However that closeness of the younger cat and her words about love were true. It was complex and didn't really make sense. A thing that no one could describe. Different for everyone yet the same. A heart warming, heart breaking and amazing feeling that couldn't be imagined without experience. Love was worth it wasn't it? Silentwhisper had to agree on Weaselskip's words. There was no way not to.
With a more relaxed less dreadful sigh and leaned her head on the larger yet younger warrior. You'll be fine... He won't forget you.... He won't. I won't. The silver point took a few deep breaths, eyes closing as she did. She needed to get over this feeling Eagelsoul wouldn't want to know she was like this... 'Thank you...' Silent would mouth, however it would most likely go unnoticed as she wasn't facing the younger cat.
The powdered grey molly just stayed there. Not wanting to move yet. She needed to tame her mind and her emotions. They didn't want to stop being crazy.

Weaselskip picked up the mute cat's thank you and the grey molly let a soft smile graze her muzzle. She wasn't all for emotional sappyness, but she understood when others needed support instead of constant teasing. Although the teasing was fun, it would often come off as rude and disrespectful in these situations so what she did was to try to distract the molly from her own thoughts. They could trap one easily. "I feel like going for a swim. Care to join me, or you content to sit here, staring at the sunset and waiting for lover boy to show up." She wanted to be supportive she really did but what good did it do to dwell on anything that you were unable to change? Shaking her head she nudged her friend. "Come on Silent. Get up, get going. He won't want you to sit here and waste away now would he? He would want you to live your life, not sit here and miss him and in truth I don't understand this. If you miss him so very much, run off to find him!" She took in a deep breath, she had to calm herself, she was getting agitated despite not meaning to. Because in truth all she too wanted was to go running off to find a certain grey cat that she so very much cherished. But that would not be happening and flicking her ears she stood up, and then shook out her grey fur. "Come on. Doesn't help to dwell on this."

Another day of sending out patrols and thankfully this time he didn't have to bite anyone's head off for not reporting back. Padding to the middle of the clearing Brindlejaw readied himself to do his job.

"Mountainmist ( @Arie) I want you to lead the Thunderclan border patrol. Take Creekpaw ( @Wings), Flashclaw ( @Pluto), Shockpaw ( @Rainquail) with you please." Short and sweet, just the way he liked it.

(Optional Prompt: While patrolling a lot of frogs come hopping out. Will we have them for dinner or not?)

Turning his attention to the next patrol blazing orange eyes roamed the crowd for a certain clanmate. "Dimtail, I was asked by your apprentice Skypaw to be put on a patrol. Being a gentletom I decided to honor his request so you, Skypaw ( @NIGHTOWL), and Mistystorm ( @Quailsong) will be patrolling the Shadowclan border." Before dismissing the group Brindlejaw gave a little cheeky wink to the young male apprentice and swished his tail to let them go.

(Optional Prompt: Due to ice melting the river has become overflown. Seeing some fish in the middle of the border what will you do? Steal it for yourself or push it to the Riverclan side?)

"Fallenghost ( @Elementals ), I am entrusting you to lead the Riverclan border patrol. Wolftail ( @Skye) and his apprentice Twisted ( @TheNyanCatMinecart) will be joining you as well." Hmm, what was a ghost? Was it those things you see in your nightmares? Brindlejaw was not so sure, perhaps he could talk to Fallenghost about it and she could enlighten him.

Now this patrol was not so hard to do since a certain cat asked, well demanded, to be put on more patrols. "Aspenbreeze." Calling the feisty molly's name out. "You are in charge of the battle training patrol this time. Smoulderpaw ( @Beau) will of course be joining you as well with another apprentice who has requested to be put on this duty as well." Looking around the deputy spotted the lucky mentor that would be dragged into this. "Whispertail ( @Echobreeze18), your apprentice Fernpaw, ( @~Splash~) kindly asked me to put you two on battle training. So you will be joining Aspenbreeze and Smoulderpaw." Dipping his head to excuse the group.

(Optional Prompt: The patrol comes across a nest of snake eggs, what will they do? Leave it alone? Steal them? Destroy them?)

Good, only two more patrols to give out before he could take his own apprentice out to hunt. "Rushingmoor ( @Beau), Curlpaw ( @FuzzyRatto), and Crescentmoon ( @Fallen One) are all on the first hunting patrol."

(Optional Prompt: While hunting someone discovers a cave, will they go and be adventurous?)

One more and then Brindlejaw can be free! "The second hunting patrol will be lead by Thornspirit ( @elysian) and he will bring Lynxpaw ( @RedHead), Quicksilver, and Pumapaw ( @Arie)." Hopefully he was not making a mistake with trusting Thornspirit, well he had Quicksilver to help him through anything.

"Feel free to continue on without your clanmates if they are taking too long. If anyone has a problem feel free to come up to me and we can discuss how I can help you." With that the tom gave his clan a closed-lipped smile and sat out of the way of the crowds waiting to see if anyone wanted to talk to him.

Everything here...it was different, yet the same. Some times, clan feuds confused her. All four clans, they were so alike, right down to what was in their camps. It was all just a different layout and different in the environment they chose to live in. The biggest differences always being cultural.

But the bones stayed the same.

The calico's expression of contentment wasn't focused on one sole thing as she sat herself down where they were.

"It's happening..." she murmured, only loud enough for Breezefeather to really hear. "I'm here, I'm changing everything I've known and how I've lived for as long as I can remember. I'm both terrified, and ecstatic. I want to cry, because I'll only ever see my sister at the gatherings, but happy because...because I want to try really, really hard and make a life for myself here."

I want to be there for you too. Is what she didn't say, too embarrassed and too scared it may be too much, too soon. She caught the disbelieving look in Breezefeather's green eyes and didn't want to overwhelm him anymore than she perhaps already has.

Breezefeather let out a soft sigh as he settled himself on the ground too. He needed the security of the ground to take in her words and to process them correctly. Because these were complex thoughts that needed addressing and he assumed that was why she was voicing it to him. "Changing... it's hard. It's not something that happens as you flick a switch, its gradual. Some days you may feel like nothing's changed, the next it might overwhelm you by the fact that you've gotten used to the moors, to the open skies without even realising it." He hadn't until now that she was back, realised the very same impact that Daisy-Lily- had had on him during the short time they'd spent talking about their issues... But it was an impact that had indeed left its effect on him. "Changing how you live your life... It will be hard. But you can do it. If any cat would be capable of changing their entire life upside down... its you." And that was the truth. He'd seen the strength in the calico molly throughout the time she'd spent in Windclan. But they were not here to be all sappy for however much he wanted them to be. It was not... time for it. "Your sister. You'll have to tell her you've got a new name at the gathering now wont you?" he let out a soft laugh at that. He could totally imagine the other sister being extremely confused at this change and even a little mad. She as a fiery one, or so it had seemed from his one encounter with her during the latest gathering. "Being happy is worth the pain of leaving... Because you're not sacrificing yourself for something others would wish for you. You're doing what will help you, and sometimes. Sometimes its alright to be selfish especially in these situations."

"Sunpaw!" Breezefeather called out and hopefully the former Thunderclan warrior had heard him. He disliked the humiliation many of the other warriors treated the newcomers with, because despite everything they'd still earned their warrior rank in their own clan, just not in Windclan. When the apprentice did show up he gestured with his head towards the exit of the camp. It was slightly unnerving to be smaller than said apprentice despite, in theory, being taller. But then again Breezefeather never really cared much for being physically strong, and he knew if it should come to a strength conflict between him and Sunpaw, that he would most likely loose. It was reasonable enough. But that was not why they were here, and he started explaining the actual purpose for calling on the apprentice. "We're going out hunting. Not the typical hunting, I'll be doing what Gentlemoo should've done with you. Shown you the reasons and explained why we work as we do. There is more to do with it than there is rabbits on the moor and thats why we hunt rabbits. The cultural part of the clan is just as vital to learn as its techniques and battle training."

Mountainmist sighed. She wasn't exactly a fan of being put on a patrol but she would do it nonetheless.. This one to the Thunderclan border too... That would prove quite interesting. Walking up close to where Brindlejaw as standing she waved her tail as a flag, so that she hoped she would at least be noticed by her clanmates. "Creekpaw! { @Wings } Come on! Another border patrol calls you!" She liked the apprentice, and this was supposedly his last session before becoming a warrior so might as well make it interesting. "Shockpaw
{ @Rainquail } and Flashclaw { @Pluto } get your asses over here or we're leaving with out you."

Runningpaw had caught him! Huzzah! So perhaps the 'advanced kit-apprentice' could be beaten after all. Snorting, she stepped off of his pelt, a look of triumph in her eyes. She nodded respectfully, a grin large on her face.
"That was pretty impressive! But I think I'll leave the rest to your old mentor, huh? It was nice training with you."
