She couldn't hide in the warriors den because he still had to rest there as well. She didn't want to be in plain sight either because herself easy to pin point by him. Who was this cat she was afraid of? Why, the very cat she was beginning to get close to lately, the intimidating Fallenstream. He knew so many incriminating things about her. He was there as she snuck out to see Fireflare, the WindClan tom. He was there when she attempted a confession. He was there to fight with the WindClan tom. And he was there when she desperately tried to stop the fight and yelled at her in turn. He knew too much. One of these days, he can just tell Russetstar and the clan of her forbidden WindClan affairs and have her banished. Right now, it's a torturous waiting game that seems crueler than to finally give the punishment and have her die by waiting for the anticipation. Her issues were full and weighed her head down heavily. Oh, how much of a mess she is. What an absolute mess she created.

( @woly @starfall
I approve and would appreciate y'all stalking this rp <3 )
The clearing was gently lit; that was the first thing Cloversplash noticed as she entered from the territory, a few brown mice clutched tightly in her jaws. The sunlight warmed her cocoa fur, a continued reminder that even in the worst of times, a bit of good can break through and thrive. She shook out her fur, slightly; the rain had been sporadically hitting their territory, though there seemed to be a constant cloud hovering over ShadowClan. The senior warrior wasn't terribly worried, though; during the flood, several seasons ago, they had been forced to cohabitate with ShadowClan, and it hadn't been the end of the universe.

Her ears perked slightly as she glanced around the crowded clearing, cats sunning and talking and gathering in droves all around her. Her eyes skipped lazily over them; they were no one of any concern to her until she spotted Honeypool, crouched in a dark corner that Cloversplash herself had frequented in her first incarnation, after losing her mate and kits. Without another thought, she dropped her prey and began to twist through the writhing crowd towards her old apprentice, eyes crinkling in worry. Was the honey colored warrior alright? She finally reached the shaded corner, and crouched down in front of Honeypool, tail twitching slightly. "Honey?" she mewed softly, leaning in towards the molly. "Are you alright, dear?" Cloversplash murmured, her tone motherly and gentle, deep green eyes bathed in worry.

It can be considered dangerous to have so many thoughts in your head. Honeypool didn't have that much to think about, but the thoughts she did have were so heavy and full, as if they were about to burst. From behind her eyes, she replayed and replayed and replayed what went wrong when she was there. It was funny how much she replayed it, as if she could suddenly go back and have made the situation better, play around with the options she put in her head that she thinks would have made things better. How can she make things better?

Suddenly she felt herself get ripped from her thoughts and back to reality upon feeling a familiar presence. She physically flinched upon hearing her name before she was able to take the time to recognize the voice. She instantly put her face between her front paws and flattened her ears in fear. However her ears finally perked up and recognized the soft, concerned sounding tone. She lifted her head slowly and cautiously and in front of her stood, to her relief, was her former mentor. She couldn't help but exhale a happy sigh and had her eyes beam. "Hello Cloversplash." She mewed softly with a quiet purr. She wondered why her mentor had approached her, but she could guess why, seeing the worry in her eyes. When she asked if she was okay, Honeypool's eyes dimmed and she looked down at her paws. "I wish I could tell you that I'm doing fine, but I don't want to lie to you."

She says all while watching his quick movements before settling back down. "The way I see it, being with another apprentice would make it more fun and you could make into a contest!" She has never experienced training with another apprentice, but the idea seems to be swell. Training alongside another apprentice can make or strengthen friendships. So why doesn't he want to training with another apprentice. She bluntly asks "Is it because you're not really good at training?" It may or may not have sounded rude to think his skills in training made him too self conscious to train with other, but she knew she said it with the best intentions, not to belittle him. "I mean, I'm not really good at training either. I run into a lot of things or I can't seem to focus on a target. My mentor doesn't really know why I'm so clumsy and talks to my mother about it a lot." Then she turns to him. "Didn't you say your parents were kittypets before? Are they here in camp?" (I don't remember if he talked a lot about his family last time for please forgive me if I forgot about something)

Briarpaw's suggestion that training with another cat could turn it into a contest made Lunarpaw's whiskers twitch in amusement, and he cleared his throat to keep the laugh he could feel coming up in it from coming out. "Um - yeah. I guess it could." The tom shrugged, his eyes flashing a little in amusement. But, Lunarpaw was confident he would have trouble with the always cheerful Briarpaw around. It would be difficult for him to keep his mind on training. It'd be hard enough to have a cat who was competitive, but what if she decided to make everything into games? No, no, Lunarpaw wouldn't be able to handle that. His mind would probably crack under the annoyance. That was a definite possibility. Her question made his hues narrow and he listened as she continued.
Clumsy, huh? Well. I could think of a reason or two. The multicolored feline thought in an irritable manner. Then again, he had always been irritable. Had there ever been a moment when Lunarpaw had been necessarily "nice?" Not really. He just wasn't naturally friendly, nice, or any other adjective that went along with the two. He was more of the type of cat to build relationships off of trust, trust, and more trust. Not because someone seemed nice. In fact, that was what he was least likely to do... start a relationship with someone who seemed nice. Or a friendship. "Do you know why?" He asked her, his blue eye flashing in true curiousity for a moment before her question had his head swiveling around to face her. And now his whole face was visible - light and dark, or as Lunarpaw had come to think of it, good and bad. Both eyes flashed in frustration. He hated talking about his parents.
And he was frustrated with himself for turning around. "No. They aren't here. If they were here, I would have called them ex-kittypets." His voice was rougher then before... although it might have seemed she was making progress, now Lunarpaw felt like it had all been deleted by that one innocent question. Though she couldn't have known - he was still angered.

Briarpaw didn't understand how angry the tom felt at the moment, but her ears drooped in sympathy. "Oh, I see..." Briarpaw noticed how his eyes flashed, which she found a bit scary, but she continued to talk about the topic of parents anyways. She kind of looked over to the lighted part of the clearing, which was more or less pointless cause she couldn't see a thing, and said. "Well, Wolfdancer isn't exactly my real mother. They couldn't tell if I was born in the clan or if i had outsider parents. I was just in the nursery by myself for a while until Wolfdancer met me..." In Briarpaw's eyes, Wolfdancer was the most beautiful, the modt kindesr cat that could ever live. She has to share her with her other nonbiological siblings, but she doesn't mind. He still had hints of tiredness deep within his expression and if that apprentice of his didn’t awake soon, then he would fall asleep right where he now laid. The last thing he wanted to do, however, was go against his word and still be asleep when she awakes for her next lesson. The black-furred male supposed that he kept himself up too much with his own thought of the past and his beloved father that he missed so dearly. If he was here, the muscular male would be chuckling at his tiredness and tell him to go dunk his head in the river. “That’ll wake you right up!” Sproutwhisker said, mimicking the grey-furred maine coon, “Or would you rather I threw you in the river myself?” The warrior huffed and shook his head ever so lightly, looking up at the trees as a morning breeze swept through them.

The dark-furred warrior’s ears perked up at the sound of rustling that came from within the apprentice’s den that was not that far away from where he was, making him immediately wonder if Noirepaw was finally awake and eager to start the day. Of course, he was never the harsh mentor to storm into the den and snap at their apprentice to get their haunches up and ready to go. No, Sproutwhisker knows to be caring and gentle with the youth of the clans, they were training, learning to become a strong, proud warrior. Harshness such as explained before was for selfish, disrespectful cats, but not cats like Noirepaw, who were happy to learn and know more about the forest that they were born in. It was certainly fascinating when he first learned the clan ways and all that followed with it.

His icy blue-hued eyes flickered shut more a moment as he uttered a content sigh that quietly escaped him as he laid there on the edge of the clearing. The partially eaten prey still resting between his paws, but he had means for it later, so the male didn’t bother with it for the moment. Then, without warning, the sound of pawsteps bounding towards him made the tom-cat awaken from his dazing off to meet eyes with the energetic apprentice that he cared for so dearly. A tired-sounding chuckle sounded from him as she exclaimed how she awake all on her own. “Of course, I’m proud. Although, I’m not surprised.” Sproutwhisker murmured, lazily heaving himself into a sitting position with his eyes sliding shut for a few seconds as he spoke, “You are mature, Noirepaw, responsible too. I knew that I didn’t need to be a strict mentor with you and wake you like some mentors do with their apprentices.” His tone was gentle and warming to the ears as he smiled down at the black-furred female as she bounded around him like a mischievous kitten. “I wish Starclan would grant me the energy of the youth once more..” He chuckled and shook his head, “But what am I saying - I’m only thirty moons.”

Her abrupt question made the mentor open his eyes to see Noirepaw park her haunches right before him, looking at the tom-cat with curious, energetic expression in her gaze and it made him smile with delight at her, knowing that she enjoyed this time with him. “Today, I have something special planned for us.” He said, heaving himself to his paws and turning away from her with a satisfied smile, “Come along before we waste anymore of the relaxing morning hours.” The male certainly didn’t give any details or hints to what they were doing, but after all, he wanted each experience with them together to be an adventure in itself. Sproutwhisker shook his fur, a bit of dust shifting from the tom’s fur as he strode across the clearing, waving his tail in the air to signal her to follow him.
The black pelted she cat gav a quizzical look toward her mentor as he bounded off. She sat there for a couple moments, wondering what exactly did he have planned. Her gaze locked upon him, and she was not satisfied with what he had said. The young apprentice hopped to her paws deciding to follow him after a while of pondering. After all, she did like surprises. Well, sometimes. She was more of the type that aggravated others until they told her what it was, but with her mentor, she decided to stay quiet. Maybe it was special of what he had planned. Maybe it was battle training. Oh, yes! The feline felt that she was ready to practice and learn some moves. Even though she wasn’t a fighter, she was definitely a dreamer. More of the type of be creative and prepared. She preferred the benevolent type, but knowing how to fight also had its benefits. Hopefully, those benefits she wouldn’t have to use.

‘’Are you sure you don’t want to tell me?’’ Noirepaw fell behind her mentor, and gradually started trotting to pad alongside him. She turned her gaze to stare at him with her large yellow hues. ‘’I can keep a secret, you know.’’ It may sound like she was pouting, making her voice extra sweet just to get what she wanted, but that was far from the case. Her curiosity was taking over her, and she wondered exactly--what was this place. The river? That was about the only thing that made Riverclan special. Especially since they were literally the only cats that could swim--and stand water. And, fish. Fish was tasty to the young apprentice, and she didn’t understand how come the other clans found it disgusting. Now, she was veering off track. Her mind was getting cluttered up, and she tried to focus on the case in front of her.

‘’Do I know of this special place?’’ She pressured on, hoping to get little clues. Noirepaw enjoyed a good mystery, and since she didn’t know where they were going, or what they were going to do, she figured she would prompt it out of Sproutwhisker. It was like a game to her. A game she loved to play when it came to solving problems. Only, this wasn’t a problem. It was more so a surprise that Sproutwhisker was keeping hidden. Why hide anything from her? Noirepaw jumped around, trotting much faster as she took a couple steps ahead of Sproutwhisker. She thought she could figure this place out on her own, but she was lost--clueless of where it could be, so she stopped in her steps and awaited for her mentor to come back at her side again before she stayed trotting along him. ‘’Why does it have to be a surprise?’’ She asked, the suspension killing her. Yet, she liked the suspension. She didn’t want to come off as whiny or aggravating.

Yet, she figured that Sproutwhisker was actually enjoying her company. Almost like a little kit to keep him company. That’s exactly how she acted. Her inquisitive nature taking over her as she looked around at her surroundings. She was proud to be a riverclan cat, despite the fact that she didn’t know how to swim, but never minded that as she stayed near her mentor. Whatever he had planned for them, Noirepaw knew she would enjoy it. She loved the last lesson, figuring that whenever she had a break from training, she would practice her land hunting to get better, but for now, she stayed near Sproutwhisker, her tail twitching with anticipation of what was to come. Many things swirled into her mind, a mystery making her shiver with excitement. If it was an adventure--oh, how she hoped it was an adventure, Noirepaw would never forget it. She adored going on adventures. It meant exploring the land around her, and getting to know the lively forest that she called home.

Wolfdancer didnt like to pull the victim card, but she didnt hurt like this before their conversation. They couldn't see the hints of insecurity she felt, the shreds of confidence she was losing. It wasn't entirely Honeycombs fault--it was her choice to train in the darkforest. It was her choice to earn all of these scars along her pelt. And even with physical evidence that she wasnt okay-Honeycomb couldnt even grasp that Wolfdancer might atleast a bit sensitive after being denied. "Cool," the grey shecat said briefly, not really looking in Honeycombs direction. She was annoyed now. She had a habit of saying cruel things when angry, so instead she decided she would just go. Uncoiling around Honeycomb she already felt a pang of regret in her chest. She already missed the contact. She stood up, eyes looking directly for the camp exit. "Im going to go train, see you later." he body screaming in pain when she started to walk, a noticeable limp. Her eyes were heavy with exhaustion, a yawn coming over her. But she didnt care anymore, it seemed like Honeycomb didnt anyway.
Honeycomb stood up, struggling for a moment before fixing her with a level gaze. They would not cry out; they would be… neutral. Or at least, they'd try to be. Their sincerity seemed not to be effective; the small feline had spent enough time around Wolfdancer to know that their words and actions had a serious effect. She hadn’t recovered, and it was understandable. With all she’d gone through after their last actual interaction, it would be a surprise if she had. Honey had some difficulties with empathy at times, but they weren’t stupid-- she’d taken a hit from this, but it would be puerile and simply untoward to suggest that they’d gone unscathed. Sure, it was stupid of them to take and then act like they could just give her what she wanted, but Wolfdancer seemed to be seeing things solely from her own perspective. (It was for good reason, but they didn’t know that.)
She took a few paces. Honey struggled to get the word out, but did, vehemently attempting to stop her. “Don’t.”, they mewed. And then, softer-- “Please don’t do this.” With their voice half-breaking, it was hard not to see exactly how their behaviour was infuriating; they hated it, the way they tried to seem like they were the one actually being harmed, but they couldn’t stop. It was their fault, they knew now. Their fault she hated herself, her fault she wasn’t eating, that she could barely walk. They did this to her. The enby didn’t know how to apologise, but at least acting like they cared would do something, though they did not know what.

Lunarpaw thought Briarpaw was done talking on the subject of parents, but just as soon as she had stopped, she continued onwards. In a way, the tom felt more or less helpless to stop her from speaking and decided he might as well just let her go. After all, the havana apprentice probably wouldn't stop even if he asked her to - which Lunarpaw almost found funny and perhaps he would have found it funnier had he not been so annoyed by it at the same time.
Though, the multicolored tom never found it fun to listen to stories in which a young cat didn't have parents. At least this "Wolfdancer" had found her. That was good, right? Now she had a... sort of Mother. Lunarpaw wished the feline had been around when he was a kit. Or even a young apprentice. Growing up without parents was never easy, and even if you were adopted by another cat... it just wasn't the same, was it? Though Briarpaw sounded like she was glad to have an adoptive Mother. "Well it's good that Wolfdancer adopted you then." Lunarpaw mewed. His lack of care - or at least seemingly lack of care - would have bothered any other cat, but Briarpaw seemed to be taking it in stride.
Honestly? It didn't surprise the apprentice one bit. She just was that type of a cat. Once more, he seemed to be moving a little bit fowards... until her remark of being "a kittypet like him." One step foward, two steps back. That was how it seemed to be going right now. Or, maybe it was more like two steps forward, one step back... it'd be making more progress, but Lunarpaw wasn't sure that they were. "I'm not a kittypet." The words were spoke in a low, savage tone, and for a moment he almost wanted to offset her with his differently colored face and eyes. He wasn't a kittypet. And yet it was something he got teased about for those who knew about his own past -
kittypet, kittypet, soft and useless kittypet.
Taunting, jeering, horrible words that stuck in Lunarpaw's mind when he had been scared and alone. Good thing he'd learned how to guard himself better now. "They left me. Any parents who would do that don't deserve kits so no, I wouldn't." Even though there was a small longing to know where and who his kittypet parents were, Lunarpaw stood by his words. Anyone who would ditch a kit like that, and especially one with such a... unique appearance didn't deserve to have them.

She stopped mid walk, paw still lifted as she was about to take another step. She didnt know what to do and she was stuck. She cocked her head back looking at them-not giving the decency to turn her whole body to face them. Wolfdancer was usually kind, empathetic, and could understand other cats point of views before her own. But right now she was only angry, eyes in slits as she turned to Honeycomb with a curled lip,"Please dont do what, Honeycomb?" she snarled, "Please dont train, please dont eat, please dont sleep, please dont train in the darkforest?" she didnt care if Honeycomb knew or not. She didnt care,"Because Im already doing those things. You hurt me and expect that we can cuddle like we used to like-" her voice cracked,"like I wasn't hurt. As if nothing happened, flinching at my words like I hurt you." Despite being angry Wolfdancer couldn't help but let tears fall. She wanted to go back. She wanted to turn around and return to Honeycomb and coil around her again and bask in her presence, to lick her fur and smell the intoxicating smell of honey, to have her pressed close into her side as if the world had stopped for a moment, and it was just them. No Minnowgaze, to expectations to fulfill, no nothing. "Its selfish." she flicked her tail across the ground harshly- hard enough a few specks of dirt came flying behind her. She took a step closer, golden eyes dark compared to had they once been. "Every time I close my eyes Im in pain. And because of you every time I have them open I feel the same." her voice was cool and spiked with aggression at the end. No matter how pissed she was at Honeycomb though, she would never lay a paw on her. It seemed that Honeycomb didnt get what she had done wrong, or Wolfdancers point of view, so the molly decided she would just say it bluntly with a few words. "Its because of you I hate myself." when the whole situation happened Wolfdancer had never expected this. She never expected to get returned feelings of Honeycombs affections it was just the way...they denied her. Because she was a shecat. Ever since then she had only felt discomfort living in her own body-tarnishing it by not eating, grooming often, and the scars and wounds laced throughout her skin like stripes. She backed away and turned around, tail lashing. "Im going to sleep in the territory from now on."

Briarpaw flattened her ears hearing his tone lower, instantly regretting what she called him. Kittypet, one of the worst things to compare a forest cat to. "W-Well, when I meant a kittypet like you, I didn't mean to insult you. You aren't really soft like one, and you aren't as fat as a kittypet either." Realizing she was only making her situation worse, not better, for herself, she chuckles and smiles nervously. "Um... n-nevermind about you and kittypets." She decided to stop the talk about parents. She was sure that the menrioning of parents brought painful memories back from the dead. He expressed his feelings about Wolfdancer finding and taking in her as a small defenseless kit. Yet she still continued to talk about kittypets, the thing she was fully aware of his parents being. She thought she was being conservative of his feelings and past, but she still talks about a topic that triggers bad feelings and bad memories. "I don't think I would ever want to become a kittypet. I like to run around and have some space to be free. If I was forced to stay in a twoleg's nest for the rest of my life, I would go crazy!" She meowed, rolling around playfully, trying to ease any internal tension. "Wolfdancer told me that kittypets have big bellies because they eat so much, they can get really lazy and aren't too interested in finding mates and they are too bothered to chase after a mouse. They are really pretty though, I've heard. An apprentice said it was because of how they are cleaned. Still, having to wait for some twoleg to tell me when I can go outside or not doesn't sit well with me."
