She couldn't see as clearly as her clanmates yet she has an optimistic look on her blurry aspect of the world. To her, it was wonderful. She will sometimes complain to herself about it, but she realizes others have it worse than her. Briarpaw won't be able to identify cats from afar by sight so she mostly relies on her nose for distanced stuff. Briarpaw wasn't doing anything in particular but romping around the clearing while trying to prevent herself from tripping again. As she wandered she picked a faint but familiar scent of another cat and Briarpaw decided to follow it to the darker parts of the clearinf. Briarpaw felt a strange sense of deja vu. Even with how she was being, she ended gently bumping into a familiar face. She looks up at the bigger apprentice and mews "Hello!" to him.

The black and golden tom looked up at the other apprentice with a scowl, before it faded just a little. She looked familiar - and not in the 'having made fun of him, was a horrible cat to him' kind of way. No... this was one of the cats who had actually been nice to him. Lunarpaw's expression changed and the words 'what do you want' practically vanished off the tip of his tongue. Still, he kept the darker part of his face twisted away so that his neck was being held at an odd angle... despite the fact he felt as though she had already seen the darker color before.
"Hi." He mewed back, though his voice was considerably lower and nowhere near as cheerful sounding as Briarpaw's own. She's the most excitable, cheerful, and sweet cat he's ever met. Though those things don't seem to matter much to him. Rude or sweet, Lunarpaw had never been the type of cat to make friends. The silence was beginning to bother him, so he continued onwards, with a half-uncomfortable expression.
"It's Briarpaw, right?" He asked after a moment's silence. His blue eye met her gaze, although he still didn't dare turn his head so that she could see his whole face. The darker part of his face could have been a part of the shadows, for all that was visible - and Lunarpaw wouldn't even have been surprised.

Hopefully Honeycomb wouldnt do something stupid like force themselves to be with a tom simply for their mothers approval. The thought only made Wolfdancer curl around the enby protectively. For a moment Wolf forgot about all the stuff happening; the dark forest, how her body ached, how Honeycomb had treated her, her insecurities. She forgot it all for a moment and continued to give slow, rumbling purrs that showed she was comfortable. "I want to share a nest again." she didnt know where the thought came from, and for a second she didnt know she said it out loud. It was a bold thing to say considering the placement they were in, but Wolfdancer didnt care. Baby steps.
The sudden comfort conveyed by Wolfdancer’s gestures were somewhat perplexing, but Honeycomb wasn’t complaining. Their tail twitched a couple times-- they hadn’t seen Minnowgaze in a long while, and she didn’t seem to care about them that much any more; that could change, but they’d bide their time for now. Things would drag on, and then they’d stop dragging on. End of story. Honeycomb was sure about it, and as Wolfdancer coiled around them, they let out a light sigh, wishing they’d considered accepting her from the start. At her statement, the enby nodded. “If you’re sure; I wouldn’t wanna… rush anything, Wolfdancer. If you’re comfortable, is all.”

She blinked and made a soft purr in surprise. "You remembered my name!" she chirped merrily, swaying her tail high in the air in a friendly manner. She walked in a little circle before asking him. "What are you doing here?" As she placed herself directly in front of him, her big yellow eyes looking innocently at him. This way she can see him a bit more clearly. Her eyes dilated a tad from the shadiness of this corner of the clearing and because she could see him fairly enough. And she would want to see the cats she knows pretty well, she doesn't like seeing them as big blur. As she waited for an answer, she decided to tidy up the fur on her back and used her rough tongue to smooth it down. If she kept her fur like that the whole time she would attempt to chat with him, she would get too distracted. She wanted to pay full attention to him. She is aware that he doesn't live an easy life in RiverClan.

"Of course I did. How could anyone forget a cat like you."
Now, to some it might have sounded as though Lunarpaw were attempting to flirt with the young apprentice. However this was not so - he was more or less just being sarcastic. Though it was true, Briarpaw would be a harder cat to forget. After all, she was one of the first cats who had been nice to him in a while. And he supposed that deserved some level of recognition, or at least appreciation. So he was going to try to at least be a little bit nice to the feline. Though that seemed to disappear at her next question, and he gave her a look of mixed confusion and amusement. "Umm... sitting?" He answered, giving her a look of confusion and biting back a response that was harsher. What does it look like I'm doing?
Was what he felt like saying, but since he didn't have the energy nor longing to drive away a cat who was at least a little bit nice to him, Lunarpaw decided to show some type of backwards friendliness. "You can join me - if you want." He offered, his voice remaining hard, and the I-don't-care type tone that he seemed to carry so very often. Honestly, Lunarpaw really didn't care very much. Not about much. He didn't have the mental means to care all the time, because the tom was too afraid that he would get hurt if he tried to care. It'd happened before. What was to stop it from happening again? There were cats, like Briarpaw, who seemed to not have a care in the world.
Always smiling. Always cheerful. Never had the world brought them down before, as far as Lunarpaw could tell. He didn't understand why they were never discouraged by the harsh comments he was almost certain they recieved. Maybe, it was a type of magic. And if it were, perhaps it would wear off on him at some point after hanging around this cat. But it would take a miracle to get Lunarpaw to the point where he would hold at least a little bit of trust again.

"Im fine, my feelings for you shouldnt affect our friendship." she said the words bluntly, though it just didnt seem...right. The sentence left a bitter taste in her mouth. She didnt want to be avoiding eachother, she didnt want to have Honeycombs pity or having to worry about 'crossing lines' when it came to Wolfdancers feelings. Despite how she was physically and mentally feeling, she didnt want Honeycombs hesitance. But the enbys response only made her doubt herself. She never used to doubt herself before. She removed her head from ontop of the gingers,"Its fine if you dont want to-I get it. Just forget it."

But it would take a miracle to get Lunarpaw to the point where he would hold at least a little bit of trust again.

Without a moment of hesitation, the havana apprentice chirped an "Okay!" and plopped herself down. His previous sarcastic answer didn't seem to phase her too much. She noticed how nicer he seemed this time than when she first met him. This made her mood even more brighter. She hoped that maybe in the near future, Lunarpaw will be even more friendlier and happier. "So, how was your day?" She asked. "I was with mentor and we practiced in the territory! I was chasing a mouse, but I lost it cause I hit a tree really hard." She softly rubbed the area in between her eyes where it hurt the most."My mentor then decided to switch to combat training, but I couldn't follow their movements too well from afar." No cat's firstt thought upon hearing this wouldn't suspect something physically wrong with her that they couldn't see easily. They would either see her as extremely clusmy or very slow. What was sad is that this wasn't just today when she has done this. She would either lose her prey either by hitting obstacles she didn't see or they get too far away that she cannot track it with her eyes. And in combat, the cats would be too blurry for her to see their movements and make the appropriate actions. "Afterwards, I went to Geckoleaf to make sure I wasn't hurt and now I'm sitting here with you!" She flashed a smile.

"It was actually kind of surprising how I was able to find you. If I didn't scent you were nearby, I would have passed because you have too blur-" she stopped herself before she accidentally told too much about herself. She was usually open to others, but she doesn't like telling others about one thing about herself. "... too... too dark to see with how you were in the shadows." She switched her words and released a nervous chuckle. To distract him from what she almost said, she changes the subject to him. "How are you with your mentor? Maybe we should ask them for us train together sometime! I saw older apprentices do this battle move that they had to together ans I thought it was so cool and it was something I wanted to do!"

“W-wait, what?” They flinched on impulse at the sudden change of tone in her voice, and looked away. Guess they’d spoken wrong; it was hard to not hurt her somehow, and they didn’t get that. Why did she make everything… difficult? They were trying to be good to her, and it was just. Failing. Honeycomb averted their eyes, visibly shrinking. “I do,” they said, falling quiet. “I do.”

She didnt know why but just the sight of them shrinking only made Wolfdancers tail twitch. Were they trying to make themselves look smaller, as if they were the victim in the conversation, when really they were the reason Wolfdancer couldn't walk right now, that she joined the darkforest, and couldn't even accept her own gender simply because they couldn't love a cat like her? Wolfdancer didnt like to pull the victim card, but she didnt hurt like this before their conversation. They couldn't see the hints of insecurity she felt, the shreds of confidence she was losing. It wasn't entirely Honeycombs fault--it was her choice to train in the darkforest. It was her choice to earn all of these scars along her pelt. And even with physical evidence that she wasnt okay-Honeycomb couldnt even grasp that Wolfdancer might atleast a bit sensitive after being denied. "Cool," the grey shecat said briefly, not really looking in Honeycombs direction. She was annoyed now. She had a habit of saying cruel things when angry, so instead she decided she would just go. Uncoiling around Honeycomb she already felt a pang of regret in her chest. She already missed the contact. She stood up, eyes looking directly for the camp exit. "Im going to go train, see you later." he body screaming in pain when she started to walk, a noticeable limp. Her eyes were heavy with exhaustion, a yawn coming over her. But she didnt care anymore, it seemed like Honeycomb didnt anyway.

Maybe we should ask them for us train together sometime! I saw older apprentices do this battle move that they had to together ans I thought it was so cool and it was something I wanted to do!"

The apprentice watched the Havana as she settled down next to him - and he shifted so that the darker colored side of him would not be as visible now. His bright blue eye stared out at Briarpaw as she spoke about her blunder in training - right after asking him about how his day went. Though Lunarpaw hadn't been about to answer that question anyways... pretty much he had learned to 'expect the unexpected' with the cheerful younger feline. After all, Lunarpaw would not expect some of the things she did from a "normal" cat, or perhaps "traditional" would be the better word for it.
He had always imagined the cats in RiverClan as hard workers. Dedicated. Friendly, but not overly optimistic. Then Briarpaw came along and changed his views on that - it looked as though he was going to have to rethink what he had believed for quite a while now. She ran into a tree? "You're fine now, though." That was meant to be a remark of concern, but it didn't come out that way - Lunarpaw just wasn't too good at showing those types of emotions. He had never been good at it. And, perhaps that was okay - after all, Lunarpaw didn't really think much of not being able to show his concern. Though he could tell that Briarpaw was fine now, she certainly acted that way, anyways.
At her cut off statement, the multicolored feline's ears pricked up in surprise and he nearly turned his head around to face her completely. Why had she switched? Now, that was more normal according to his standards... and yet he still didn't know why she had done it. It puzzled him, though he wouldn't try to get more of an answer out of her. After all, it was nicer to just let it go then pursuing something it was pretty obvious she didn't want to talk about. Besides, maybe she'd just had to rethink her words... yeah, that was it. There was nothing going on. "My mentor's great. But I don't know if training together would be the greatest idea - it'd be hard for me to focus. Maybe someday we can try that out though." Lunarpaw shrugged, getting partly up, stretching out, then settling back down all within a matter of moments.

The way Lunarpaw commented on her mishap with a tree didn't sound too concerned, which of course made her a bit upset that he didn't seem to care too much about her, but she decided not to let it get her down too much. She was more focused on his excuse why training together wouldn't be good. She clocks her head to the side. "I don't see why you wouldn't be able to focus." She says all while watching his quick movements before settling back down. "The way I see it, being with another apprentice would make it more fun and you could make into a contest!" She has never experienced training with another apprentice, but the idea seems to be swell. Training alongside another apprentice can make or strengthen friendships. So why doesn't he want to training with another apprentice. She bluntly asks "Is it because you're not really good at training?" It may or may not have sounded rude to think his skills in training made him too self conscious to train with other, but she knew she said it with the best intentions, not to belittle him. "I mean, I'm not really good at training either. I run into a lot of things or I can't seem to focus on a target. My mentor doesn't really know why I'm so clumsy and talks to my mother about it a lot." Then she turns to him. "Didn't you say your parents were kittypets before? Are they here in camp?" (I don't remember if he talked a lot about his family last time for please forgive me if I forgot about something)
