Stempaw had never been bitten by a snake before so she wasn’t quite sure what the medicine cats would use, but this would be worth a shot, it couldn’t kill her, might just stink. She carefully rolled her bite in the soaked moss before rolling them on the smelly leaves,” Thank you...“ she meowed she was quite grateful to this stranger, hopefully he wouldn’t expect her to stay there forever.

Oh, you're welcome. Now why don't you get some sleep? Grey suggested. I think, oh wait, maybe its....... he mumbled, as he searched for the mouse he had hidden earlier. Aha! Here it is! he mewed happily, extracting the body. You should eat before you sleep. That way your body can heal itself, without worrying about not having food. he mewed, pawing it towards her. And if she decided she wasn't going to eat, he would just stuff it down her gullet. She needed some food! @Zesty Mango

Stempaw normally would have refused food from someone else, but she was desperate,”Alright.“ she meowed gulping up the mouse really quickly and carefully laid down,” Thank you...again.“ she meowed trying to get herself ready to fall asleep.

Good. Grey mewed approvingly, as she gulped down the mouse. You're welcome...again. With that, he curled up in his nest, and drifted quickly off to sleep. It had been a fairly exciting day for a loner who barely ever saw another cat! @Zesty Mango

Before long dawn came around and Stempaw woke up in the den and glanced around. She had to get moving frankly, she struggled up to her feet begining to leave, she was going to have to keep traveling.

Hearing the stirring of Stempaw, Grey awoke. Seeing her leave the den, he decided to wait, and then follow her. He didn't know what she was doing, but he didn't want to confront her and insult her. @Zesty Mango

Stempaw began to slowly hobble onward, working to eventually maybe in two days reach Shadowclan. She could once there let Irisflame treat her wounds. She just wanted to get home, she could make it two days no food. She was certain she could do it.

Having followed Stempaw for a while, Grey figured she was heading towards her home. He didn't want to stop her, as she seemed very determined, but he thought he should stay nearby, in case something happened. And when she got to wherever she was going, he was going to skedaddle, because some cats just didn't like other cats. @Zesty Mango

Stempaw found herself getting tired easily, but she kept moving. She didn’t want to be weak. Yes she was hungry, but she wanted to get home. That’s when she heard it, before she saw it. A big dog barking and running toward’s her, her fur stood up on end as she hobbled towards a tree, falling but getting up as the dog got closer. She reached the tree and tried to climb up, but was slipping, she kept digging her claws in as the dog kept jumping and barking. She wasn’t sure how long she could hang on. Hopefully longer than the dog would try to catch her.

Of course a mangy mutt had to show up then. Of COURSE. With a hiss, Grey leaped forward, launching himself onto the dog's back. As a distraction, he clawed at it's ears, satisfied at the blood, dripping out. The dog howled, bucking itself around, and he was flung off. With a quick sprint as it licked it's wounded side from where he had dug his claws in when he was on it, he managed to make it up the tree behind Stempaw. Giving her rump a shove, he yowled Go higher! Now! If she couldn't get herself up in time, they were both dead meat. @Zesty Mango
