What have you been up to?(Training Event)

Palebrook smiled when she heard so many ask for land hunting. For some reason, she had thought none of them were going to ask for it, which would have made her disappointed. Land hunting really was fun, but sometimes RiverClan thought they should only it fish, which was ridiculous. They had to eat voles or mice eventually, right?

Frostpaw padded over eventually to Splashleap and Goosefury. She was annoyed at having to show her weakness like this, but she needed the practice. Just to learn new battle moves, not because she was bad or anything. Certainly not because of that.

Hmm, ok. It seemed like most cats either fell into the bucket of hunting or fighting, although some seemed to have an issue with swimming as well. Splashleap wasn't sure which mentors weren't teaching swimming IMMEDIATELY, but she was definitely going to be trying to ferret them out. If possible anyway, and then make sure they knew that was Riverclan's special SKILL and they should, you know, teach it first? It made sense to her, maybe not to others.

But that wasn't really the point now. She had to figure out some groups, and while no one had really REQUESTED to be put through their paces by Lizardfrost(could she really blame them, she looked intense) a couple souls would be sacrificed to the demon of conditioning. The first obvious victim was Goldenpaw. The molly hadn't actually told her what she needed to work on, so.......free victim for Lizardfrost. And who else, who else. No one else really stood out, the only other option she saw was Amberpaw, but the molly was an older apprentice who would likely be having her assessment soon. And for that she needed battle training. Then again, she could always take the younger molly out again later.

The rest was fairly easy to sort out. After all, most cats needed all three, or at least two, of hunting, fighting and fishing. Swimming too, but there wasn't really someone here for that. She would have to make sure that was included in the future. Goosepaw and Featherpaw could go and practice land hunting, and Bravepaw could go fishing. Yeah, hopefully that would work out. She had expected more cats, but oh well. She could work with this anyway. That left Silverpaw and Reedpaw with her and Goosefury. All in all fairly balanced, small groups, no one had more than two cats to deal with at least.

With that sorted, it was time to actually announce them. Hopefully no one would try and murder her, but she was including a proviso that if anyone wanted extra training could come bother her. Just in case someone didn't like their assignment. Or was put through hell by Lizardfrost, that was a distinct possibility. Goldenpaw and Amberpaw, you're with Lizardfrost. I know you're both fairly far along, and this will help improve your fighting especially because you'll have more power. Yeah, that might work, package it as a reward instead of Torture Time.

Goosepaw and Featherpaw, you'll be going land hunting with Palebrook. Bravepaw, you're going fishing with Bumblestep. That leaves Silverpaw and Reedpaw with me and Goosefury. she continued, not really bothering to sugarcoat these assignments. They were what they'd asked for, so they couldn't really complain. But, just in case, If any of you have any additional training you require, feel free to talk to me and I'll be happy to work on whatever it is with you. As long as she wasn't already completely tired, there was a lot of STUFF going on right now.

She was late! Misypaw rushed over. "I think I need to practice fishing and battle. Sorry I'm late!," she meowed up to Splashleap.

Lizardfrost tried to round up the two apprentices. She had never been too good at teaching but decided to give it her best, as she always did. Perhaps a good way would be to lead them through her own daily workout. And they could do some exercises involving a partner which was something she never had. Having someone help you put heavy branches on your shoulders would be very useful.
"Okay, Amberpaw and Goldenpaw, looks like you'll be doing general exercise with me. We shall start by doing 10 laps of the out side of camp, although I urge you to do more if you can." she replied calmly. She liked to push her limits and was, of course, going to join the running herself.

Fashionably late, showing up just in time to hear his name spoken, in all of his scarred glory. He'd totally planned this, one hundred percent did not forget and ended up showing up late by accident. That would be silly, how dare you assume such a thing.

He scooted over next to Splashleap with a rather conspicuous cough. "Sorry for being late," he muttered to her. "What are we working on?"

Sunpaw hurriedly ran over. She had slept in and she was going to regret it.
“Wait wait,” Sunpaw panted, “I would like to join in a battle training group!” battle training was something she had not yet learned and she knew she would most likely fail at it. So, why not get it out of the way now?

Featherpaw looked for goosepaw and nodded ready to start land hunting training she was excited for it.

It wasn't that she didn't respect the deputy... but did she HAVE to
put Goldenpaw with Lizardfrost?! That fox-brain was one of the cats who had
agreed with Plumstrom at the last meeting, something Goldenpaw didn't exactly
like... Disloyalty had to be one of the worst traits a cat could have according to
Goldepaw - and to her Lizard frost was the embodiment of that.

But no mater how much she didn't like the warrior this was
still more important then her opinions. She sighed a little and
padded over to to the cats she would be working with for now.
At least Amberpaw was there, she didn't know them well but at
least she wouldn't be the only one dealing with the warrior.

Laps hu? Running wasn't one of Goldenpaw's skills but it wasn't
something she couldn't do.

Amberpaw ran over to Lizardfrost, putting aside potential complaints, and upon hearing the assignment, began running around the camp. She wasn't the best runner, or the fastest, but she liked to think she had stamina on her side, so she knew she could do this.
